"There are many camera stores with similar prices and similar gear. I know I can get anything I need on any online camera store etc...I shop at pictureline because of their fantastic customer service and their knowledge of products. No one can beat their customer service. Pictureline legitimately cares about the customer. They make sure that the customer is happy and satisfied with their purchase when they walk out of the door. I am speaking from personal experience. As long as pictureline is around I will never shop at any other camera store. "

"Pictureline is the Nordstrom of camera stores. I have been shopping at Pictureline for almost 4 years and not ONCE have they treated me poorly or made me feel as if my questions were stupid, whereas another local photo chain store called me a "soccer mom photographer" and was very condescending to me. I have actually called Pictureline while on the job a few times and have received personal help with technical issues. I am blown away by their friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff. I won't shop anywhere else for my camera needs."

"First, I'm confused with some ratings that said they were glad they didn't buy at this store, when it requires you to have an invoice and transaction date. How accurate is this site?
I have used Pictureline for all my photo needs since they opened. I teach photography at a school and I purchase plenty from them. There are plenty of other stores but there must be a reason why I always go back. Somebody mentioned Inkleys, but I don't like them trying to change my mind because they are getting a kick back from the various companies. I have had (many) students say they wanted to get a Canon and Inkleys tried to talk them out of it and get a Pentax. (like the one he had on his t-shirt) As has been mention the in store service at Pictureline is wonderful. You have their attention and they help educate you. As far as returns, I seldom have a problems. I once purchased a camera for a student organization, and it wouldn't even turn on. When I called them, they came by with another one and took the one that didn't work. They offer classes and seminars, and carry brands and equipment that they consider to be the best. If you want junk, or to be hassled by the ex-used car salesman to photo rep go to the big online shops that carry everything. As far online sales, I've never done that, but I do know that if you look at the web site at 12:00 and you wait to order it at an hour later, it is a web site and someone else around the world might have purchased it during that time. I have every confidence in this organization and the people that work there. If the business was bad they would be getting rid of employees and hiring new ones, the same people are working there that have since the beginning and they are still adding staff. Its a class act, even if you're not buying equipment, go to the store and see how it should be done."

"Pictureline has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. I absolutly love this company. Mostly due to the awesome employees and service that has exceeded my expectations on several occasions. Early in my career I had a shoot for a preschool downtown and had somehow forgotten my spare batteries for my Nikon DSLR and noticed that the battery I was using was almost dead. I began to worry about losing the client forever since kids were lined up non-stop. I called and the employee said he would have a battery (fully charged) for me waiting at the store for me to BORROW- just to get me out of the pinch I got myself in! I couldn't believe how helpful they were. I ended up buying the battery and have since bought a lot of equipment from them including high end cameras, flashes, stands, wacom tablets, etc. I have found their service to be outstanding EVERY time I have visited either their SLC or Draper store because they will take the time to troubleshoot issues, educate you on purchases, and make honest and straightforward recommendations. I'm converted for sure."

"I'm currently a customer at their Salt Lake store and have been totally satisfied! I mostly rent equipment for events and personal projects and I've always been very satisfied with the quality of equipment and customer service. They're always anxious and willing to help me with my questions about technique, equipment, and they offer great knowledge and assistance to achieve a desired result."

"When I first entered Pictureline's SLC store I was impressed. Beginning with the low key welcome from a salesperson to the upscale decor which begged for my attention at multiple displays I was drawn further into the store and the culture of Pictureline. Sales representatives had great product knowledgeable and stayed focused on my current needs and desires. I discovered that many of the sales reps were specialists in given products. I am a Nikon shooter and Pictureline has a Nikon guru, a Canon guru and a Leica guru as well as a software and peripherals guru.

I became a Pictureline regular after the Nikon D3 was introduced, Since that time I have not bothered to shop and any local retail camera store or online store. I was recently on a shoot and ran into another Nikon photographer. He was shooting a D3s with a Nikkor 70-200 2.8. He was looking for a wide depth of field, which that lens does so well. I wanted to highlight the subject and was shooting with a Nikkor 85mm 1.4 wide open for shallow depth of field. He noticed the lens I was shooting and mentioned that his 85 was on backorder from an online dealer, and he couldn't wait for it to come in. He had been waiting for weeks and I walked into Pictureline the day I heard the 85 was available and bought mine off the shelf. Funny thing is Pictureline's price was so close to the the online price and I didn't have to pay any shipping.

On one occasion I needed a small bracket and ordered it from Pictureline's site. With the price of gas and time required to make the trip personally I figured their bare minimum shipping cost was tolerable. To my surprise the bracket was at my door the next day.

My most recent purchase was a soft box for my SB900 speed light. It was a last minute purchase made on my way to shoot the largest client I have ever had. In a few short years and with the exceptional assistance of the staff at Pictureline I have moved from the occasional shooter of pretty landscapes and architecture to a profitable portrait photographer. "

"Pictureline is a superb company . . . in both product offerings and customer service. I have become a huge, raving fan of this company. They take the time to get to know you by name and treat you like you're the only customer on earth. With a knowledgeable staff, generous free-training workshops and a wide array of the best products,I will always work with Pictureline. Even if I move out of state, I'll continue to patron them. In image, style and philosophy, they are to the photography industry as Apple is to computers and awesomeness."

"I was given a Digital SLR for Christmas a few years back and went to the Downtown SLC store to get a camera bag. The sales rep was extremely helpful in picking out the right one for me and even helped with some questions I had about my camera. I continue to go back to the store for large or small items I may need and get the same great service every time. I even ordered my Apple TV through them instead of waiting in line at the Apple stores. "

"I recently purchased the Canon 70-200 f4 from pictureline. I came into the store unsure whether or not I wanted/needed the f4 or f2.8. A helpful salesman showed me both lenses and took the time to explain to me the differences between the two. I left with a brand new lens, and a lot more knowledge than when I came in. The entire transaction was smooth. I will be purchasing all of my camera gear from pictureline going forward."
