"Buyer beware. I purchased a back cover for my Dell Inspiron 2650 from seller, but had to return it after realizing I had the wrong size. I arranged to return it while ordering the new correct sized cover. The first cover was returned to them, though admittedly I had done so in a rush. I was leaving for trip to Senegal and had hoped to take the laptop with me. When I sent the seller an email to check the status of the return I did not receive an immediate reply. I received the new cover and consequently left for my trip thinking nothing more of it. About a week or two later I received an angry email response from seller accusing me of theft. He claimed that I had deliberately replaced the hinges with old ones and that he was therefore denying me a refund for the return. I contacted the store by phone from Senegal to find out what happened. The parts person there explained why it was assumed I had tampered with the returned cover. I realized then that I may have accidently mixed up hinges from the new cover with the original hinges on the Dell prior to returning it. All this occurred when I tried to replace the old cover with the new one. In effect, the two new hinges were still on my Dell. I did my best to reassembly their cover when I resent it to them. I had already ordered and received the correct-sized cover from them. At this point, they had lost no money and in fact had earned an extra $40-$50 when they decided not to refund me for the first order. Their stock person told me that they had in fact some spare hinges that were used to replace the ones I had accidently put on. The returned cover has likely been resold by the seller in the meantime. What upset me most is that the seller mentions in his complaint that he tried to call me and was unable to leave any messages. (Before I left for Senegal I had turned off the answering machine since I was going to be gone for three months). He never responded to my email query weeks before and never tried to resolve this via email even though he had my email address. Typically, when a seller has a clients phone and email does it not follow that both are a way to contact someone? Plus, when the seller's first response to my email over a week later was an accusation of theft at what point did he try to resolve any discrepency or conflict. In my opinion, this e-Seller needs a serious attitude adjustment. If you intend to buy something from this guy assume that "all sales are final". By the way, I had made a purchase from the seller a year before so had a good track record with him. Will gladly pay more from any competing eSeller the next time."

"I ordered a video card for a Dell Laptop that was delivered via FedEx on time. After I opened the case of the laptop to install the cad did I see the Motherboard did not have a location to install it. Then I called Parts-People only to have them tell me that there are two different flavored motherboards. One that has a plug for the video card I purchased from them and one that doesn't. Guess what, I had the one that didn't have a plug in and was thus not upgradeable. The video card I purchased would not work. I asked for an RMA number and was then told that there would be a 20% restocking fee for the return! Are you kidding. I didn't have the information they had when I purchased the card and wouldn't until after the card arrived and I opened the case. For that you're going to charge me a fee? You didn't mention even the possibility of two different Motherboards when I purchased it nor does your site. I don't do business with anyone that charges a restocking fee especially under these circumstances, nor should you. They are not the only folks selling Dell parts but they act as though they might be. Avoid unless your money nmeans less to you than it does to me."

"I called to inquire about a harddrive caddy for an Dell Inpsiron 6000. All that I really needed was the two screws that hold the caddy inside the laptop. I wasn't looking for screws to hold the hard-drive to the caddy. The phone rep that I spoke with said that the caddy would have both sets of screws included. I was told this was the only way to get the screws I needed, buying the whole caddy.

To my disappointment when I received the package that was over $6.00 to ship (on a $12.00 part), NO CASE SCREWS FOR THE CADDY.

I do not recommend purchase of any laptop parts from this company. They lied to me by getting me to pay for something I didn't need.

BUYER BEWARE!"

"I bought these parts to replace a broken hinge assembly on a Dell laptop and the broken front bezel. The parts arrived just as described and worked perfect. It was an easy assembly with no hassles and the quality of the parts were great."

"These guys absolutely rock. I had 2 Dell part numbers from Dell CS (means Customer Support, as well as other things), and got to Parts People via Google. Dell steered me wrong: the Parts People website helped me get to the right area, but it still wasn't quite clear which one I needed. So, with some trepidation, I called. I got a *person fluent in both English and computers* (imagine that, in today's world) who got me exactly the right part. It arrived today, three days after the order was placed, and the computer is now back to "good as new". Gotta say, I'm coming here first before Dell next time."

"I recently purchsed two parts for my laptop, as one of my hinges was broken and my touchpad was misbehaving. I found Parts-People to be the lowest price I could find, so I went ahead and ordered what I thought would be used parts. The parts I received appears to be brand new, and still had the protective plastic on them. I could not be more satisfied with the parts I received, and would highly recommend this website."

"I recently sent my dead Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop to Parts People for repair and they quickly diagnosed the failure as a dead RAM memory stick. The repair only cost $70 ($30 diagnosis + $40 replacement part). The laptop is working great now and I got it back quickly. Great job, Parts People! I highly recommend them for Dell laptop repairs. Hopefully I won't need to work with them again because my PCs will keep running, but if I needed another Dell laptop repair, I'd definitely turn to them."
