I had to buy lots of parts for my Lexus and sometimes was not sure which part is the correct one. I found that the staff is very knowledgeable. I was dealing with the same fellow all the time and his replies were quick and useful… Thank you, Chad! The price is very good too, much cheaper than anywhere else. Quality is great, shipping is fast, so I am very happy with this store and would highly recommend it!
"AVOID! VERY SUSPICIOUS! After attempting to place an order, I received notice (below) that they want a copies of front and back of all my ID's. I have never been asked for these documents in the course of business using a credit card before. Waste of time and I am not handing over enough documents to let them commit identity theft on me. Further they left no phone number for me to call to verify over the phone. Not Trustworthy. I canceled my order.
Order Number: 3041372 Hello, ... we need additional information to verify the validity of the card holder. I will email you an affadavit to be completed and returned to us. Along with the affidavit we will need a copy front and back of your driver's license and credit card. This information will be kept secure, confidential and can be faxed to 727-490-0346 or emailed to garciam4@autonation.com. Thank you. "

"Other reviews almost dissuaded me from purchasing from Parts.com, however they had my part at $100 less than anywhere else. Yes, shipping was expensive, so on a cheaper part it might not have been worth it, but for mine, definitely. The part was shipped on time, accurate, and in new condition. Fixed my problem, so I am VERY happy. I would definitely use Parts.com again!"
"I wish I did a little research on this company before I purchased from them, I will not make the same mistake again. First off, their shipping charges are outrageous. Expect them to add 15% for shipping no matter which part you order. The part actually did ship out fairly fast, but from a dealer across the country from me so the part took over a week to arrive. When it did arrive, it was damaged. I had to send three emails though a form on their site (there is no phone number or email address) before I got a response. The response I got was that I would need to file a claim through FEDEX and they would not help. I asked to speak to someone and their response was that they are a web based company. There is absolutely no customer service with this company. When I talked with FEDEX, they were very helpful, but the only thing they could do is pick the package up and inspect and resolve the issue with the shipper. I have no guaranty that I will receive a refund from them. I have filed a claim with my credit card company to protect myself. I buy lots of products on the internet and this by far the worst customer service I have received. There are lots of choices for buying car parts online, I recommend you buy from someone other than this company."
"I ordered parts for a car that was taken apart and down on Saturday afternoon. I expected the parts to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. At 4 p.m. Wednesday night i got an email asking me which parts I wanted. I gave them part numbers and filled out everything including my vin. what a waste of time. do not use them unless you have time to waste an a rental for your customers."
"This guys are THE WORST! They inflate retail prices to make you think you are getting a good discount and then charge OUTRAGOUS shipping that you don't even see until after you place your order. I ordered some expensive small parts (HID headlight assembly and bulb ~5 lbs) an got raped for over $140 in shipping! I contacted them to ask how this could possibly cost so much and showed them UPS retail rates of $20 max. They told me their policy is to charge 15% in shipping and that is that. I could have saved 10% just going to the dealer and paying retail!"
"I would highly recommend using parts.com, I tried to find the part I need myself but just couldn't seem to find what I needed so I sent an email which was resonded to promptly and in just a few days my part arrived!"
"WORST SERVICE EVER, THEY SEND YOU PARTS THAT YOU DID NOT ORDERED,CHARGE YOU FOR IT, AND WHEN YOU DO THE CLAIM, THEY STICK TO THE LETTER OF THEIR CONTRACT. AWFULL ATTENTION, NEVER BUY ANYTHIG FROM THEM! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!"
"Bad business, horrible customer service. I had ordered a part for my company, which I have a tight deadline on. After waiting two weeks and nothing. I logged back on, to find that my order was canceled. I never canceled it, and never received a reason for this. When I contacted them via live chat, I was told that parts I ordered aren't sold by this company, even though I placed the order though their website. False advertising. They advertise items on their site to get you to look at possible other items.
"I ordered an armrest from these people only to have them ship the wrong part. The item ordered not only matched their description but was the exact part outlined in their own diagram. Needless to say they denied the problem was their fault and would not pay for my return shipping. Anyone willing to turn away a customer for life over a $7.00 shipping cost has no clue how to run a business, especially when the mistake is theirs. I will never do business with these people again."
"I bought a set of front brake pads and rotors for my 2008 Tundra. I was afraid they would not be genuine O.E. but they were the real deal at almost 30% off. The shipping was a little higher that expected, but with no sales tax, that was pretty much a wash. Shipping took 5 days. Good experience. If you know exactly what you need, I would highly recommend."
"After reading all the bad reviews I was a bit skeptical about receiving my order at all. However, this was among a few places that still sells OEM parts for my increasingly vintage car, so I decided to gamble, and, in about 1 week got my parts as ordered. Below is my experience.
From what I got in the about section of the site, parts.com is basically an ebay/amazon/craiglist type of store - it provides a large detailed catalog of auto parts, and then anybody (dealers etc) can register and sell a particular part. For this service, parts.com charges you (customer) $2 on top of the cost of the actual cost of parts and shipping. Since the site is basically a brokerage place, returns are probably multi-tier and complicated, as described by other reviewers; luckily, I got what I needed from the very first try. Also, note that the site suggest providing your VIN while making an order (I did) - they promise you will have more grounds to complain if you get a wrong part.
Now, few bad things: * The site does not guarantee that you will get what you ordered, nor does it guarantee your order will be in stock. * The purchase is multi-tier process, so you pay parts.com, then wait for their confirmation, then wait for a confirmation from an actual dealer etc - this can take a while before your part gets shipped (mine took about 6 before shipping, plus 2 days for the actual shipping, which is not bad, but not stellar either). * When you purchase something, you are not given an actual shipping cost. By default, the site charges you at least $10.99. Then, the dealer has a right to increase the shipping charge to up to 15% of your total. This can be frustrating, considering I paid $10.99 shipping for a $30 part, where, judging by the USPS label, the actual shipping cost was probably about $3.50. Still, not bad considering discounted prices on the parts.
Overall, the place seems to work. Hope others will have a similar positive experience."
"I ordered from parts.com because they had the best price for the item I was shopping for. I ordered an item that was supposed to come as a kit with several parts for $103 shipped. They shipped promptly, but I received only one piece of the kit. I emailed asking why all the pieces weren't sent and received no response. I emailed again, no response. I emailed a third time threatening to dispute the charge with my credit card company and finally got a response. They said the item I ordered was only one part and did not come as a kit. Why were all their competitors offering the option of a kit then?
I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company and won on the grounds that parts.com never responded to the dispute. So I only had to pay $20 to Toyotapartsales.com to get the rest of the items that were supposed to come in the kit. Everything worked out for me, but I can't say that for all the other people that fall victim to parts.com."

"BAD COMPANY _ DO NOT USE!!!!! Over 2 weeks after not receiving my order I finally tracked down someone to talk with at this company. No answer to my emails or "contact us". Finally got a call from Champion Toyota who was trying to fill my order and he told me that the part was damaged in shipping. I said that's great but how come no one ever called me. Unacceptable. Still have not received credit for my order. These guys suck!!!"
