"PCUSA is a scam. I ordered my computer with them in October and its December now and I still haven't finished my business with them! I ordered two computers, one for my girlfriend and one for me. Hers being pretty much a mainboard with integrated audio/videa/lan had absolutely no problems because nothing could go wrong. Mine, however, had a video card that booted with the warning "Engineering BIOS - Not for retail sale" and overheated whenever I played a video game that required 3D acceleration. I tried to return it and they gave me a run around first trying to get me to talk to the manufacturer directly and then finally agreeing to "ALLOW" me to send in a RMA. I returned the items to them - by the way they required that I return everything in "as-received" condition because they might resell it to someone else otherwise they charge you. You must keep an eye on them like a hawk because they still haven't refunded my credit card even though they said they would and when I called them up and inquired about it I got the line "Well, you see, I have to verify that everything is ok, then I send it to our credit department and that takes time..." Well, its been a month since I sent the video card back to them and still nothing! The phone is always busy and nevermind about email. There was also no warning about not being able to open the computer once it was received (I ordered mine without a hard drive because I already had six) and even the CUSTOMER COUNTER ON THEIR WEBSITE IS A FAKE (refresh the site yourself to see how much it fluctuates in just under a second). DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO WASTE. This run-around as other people have called it is not worth the money you save."
"Horrible experience. Machine appeared to be fine on receipt, but it locked up the first time I turned it on. I contacted Pete (apparently thier only support person) and he advised me to reinstall Windows. I tried, but had the same problem - lockups at random points throughout the install.
I called Pete again. He told me to replace the memory and if it fixed the problem that I could just send him the original stick and he'd credit my account for what I spent. I was suspicious and did not want to do this, but he said the only other option was shipping the whole machine back and that he didn't want to do that.
Replacing the memory did not help, and so I called Pete again and demanded that he take the machine back and credit my account. He said that they'd take it back and see what the problem was, and if the machine was defective, he'd credit my account. I told him that I'd already did all the troubleshooting that he told me to do and that it didn't help. He came back with a real laugher - "I didn't tell you do anything. I just gave you advice. I can't take responsibility for your actions..."
Pete was extremely rude, arrogant, and didn't care one bit about his reputation or the quality of his product. He said that if I ship the machine back, that he might give a refund depending on whether it was defective or not. I did not return the machine because I did not trust him at all.
Please, do not do business with this company. They might have good prices, but if you end up with a lemon, you're in big trouble."
My company bought two computers with PC USA to test them out before placing a larger order and it was a very offensive experience.
The computers arrived two weeks after the promised date.
Not only the specs were not according to the order but both computers had the video cards disconnected inside the case.
One of them started up (after opening it and connecting the video card) the other one didn't. We called them up and the customer service representative was very rude and not helpful. Then we talked to Tech Support and he was even worse, I can't type in here all the yelling he did over the phone because I just put the phone down but basically in a nutshell he said that we got what we got and that's it, if we wanted a refund we just needed to send it back and pay for the shipping [wow].
They refused to send UPS to come and pick up their junk, but my boss is going to stick it to them because he is going to dispute the charges with the credit card company and we'll keep the equipment until they decide to come and get it (It's not even worth using it even if we get it for free)
The prices are not really that competitive and for the kind of service they offer, I rather pay a higher price for better service, unless you are the kind of person who wants to buy a cheap computer and then fix it yourself.
If you are considering buying a computer from them save yourself the hassle, believe me, it will cost you more at the end. We ended up going to best buy, we really needed those computers."
"As a business owner I am very impressed with the customer service and timely manner that PC Source has achieved. I ordered a system for a client on monday, by friday afternoon it was sitting on my bench. The system far exceeded my expectations. It was built and functioned perfectly. I've been in this business a long time and have never found a company that takes the pride in their product like PC Source does. Keep up the great work guys. I guarentee PC Source my entire client base as long as they continue producing a world class product.I really enjoyed doing buisness with PC Source. They take professionalism to a new height in the computer industry. "

- very, very cheap....$268 shipped for fully assembled Athlon XP 2700+ w/ CPU fan, PCCHIPS MB, 128 MB DDR2700 (333 MHz), Case w/ fan and 300W supply.
- processed quickly and delivered promptly...was also sent an e-mail with UPS tracking info...well, shipping was $36+, so i better have gotten one.
- arrived in good condition.
- there was a "warrenty void if removed" sticker on the case....dunno why as i had to open up the case to install HDD and other peripheral devices. might be a problem later......
- after installing everything else i wanted, the computer seems to work fine. at least twice as fast as my older AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz computer.
- case looked better than expected...especially for price...also, there are a LOT more bays than expected..very good...i could put at least 6 HDD if i wanted to.
- however, power supply not as good as expected...certainly, not as good as antec. i wasn't able to power as many HDD as i wanted.
- also, the CPU is advertised as 333 MHz FSB..however, it seems that the PCCHIPS MB is limited to 200 MHz FSB...and what's worse is that the computer will only work if the FBS is set at 166 MHz FSB.
i will be giving PCUSA a call about that soon.
i will also update if there's something wrong with the computer later."
"Although pcusa charges you $10.25 for a "1-Year Part & Labor Warranty" they refuse to acknowledge any attempt to contact them about deffective parts. You can try phone (it's busy), e-mail (ignored) even fax (ignored) - they will not respond. Fortunately, this was a "test buy" to make sure they offered acceptable service, prior to my big buy ($15K or so). PCUSA will not get that business or any other from me."
"These people have the WORST customer service!! I have done business with them quite a few times. I've given them a lot of business. I Purchased a PC that had a NU dvd burner. It would not recognize CD's. I let them know about it and they sent me an RMA#. It's been 7 WEEKS!! They had to send it back to the manufacturer. The people were rude!! I STILL don't have it!!"
"Accidentally shipped me a higher priced/better valued CPU fan for same price as the one I actually ordered, though I'm not complaining! Also, I ordered a motherboard, CPU, and fan and I think to save shipping costs and space, they installed the CPU and fan directly on the motherboard for me. Since I've never installed a CPU before, I really liked that. Not 100% satisfied that they don't have a 1-800 number or they don't have security on their website for ordering, but I suppose that keeps costs down. At least they have email. Overall, I'm satisified because the products work, were very reasonably priced, and shipping was in a timely manner."
"I've order several systems from PCUSA (PC Source). All the systems were just as I ordered them and they worked perfectly. If I ever need a complete budget system again, PCUSA is where I will go."
"This was the worst purchasing experience I have ever had.
After receiving my product it had the wrong hardware installed, and they made me pay freight to have it shipped back to have the correct work done. Additionally the RAM they installed was faulty and needed to be replaced.
When I received the machine the second time, it still had incorrect hardware and they refused to refund my freight charges and I was forced "to live with the mistake"
The customer service manager was unhelpful and rude, and I would not recommend this company to any looking to purchase a computer.
I was using this home purchase as a measuring stick for a larger 20 machine purchase I was going to make for my company, and they definitly lost my business.
