"Purchased panasonic th50px600u,thinking I was getting a good dea; no way. When I called to verify shipping times etc. I was told that I could purchase the American model since this was "grey material" meaning that it's for asian countries and that the remote and literature would be in another language. Now aint that sweet. Ofcourse for a mere $600 I could buy what I thought I was buying in the first place. What a bunch of scammers!!! Stay clear. "

"My experience mirrors other reviews...ordered a Sony LCos 60A2000, as they had a very good price ($2,399). Received a call from customer service and an email, asking that I call to 'verify the order'. I did, and a very pushy salesperson tried to sell me an expensive extended warranty. I declined. Then he noted that my model was an 'import' and, unless I upgraded to the US model, I would be unable to read any of the menus. I promptly told him to cancel the order and sent an email to customer service. Wish I had read these reviews before. My first bad internet experience, but I guess I should have researched them more before purchasing.
Saying all of that, they're playing with fire....they're violating the Commercial Deceptive Trade Practices Act and could receive substantial fines and penalties...a point I mentioned in my email to them. Sounds like a bait-and-switch scam operation."
"Horrible store. I could go on and on but they have already tired me out. Basically we ordered a huge plasma TV, were told that it would be here in a week (after somehow being convinced to buy an extraordinarily pricey warantee). It never came. They never returned our calls. 4 weeks later they told us it was backordered. We tried to cancel, they threatened to charge the cancellation fee, we threatened to call the credit card company and BBB (36 complaints against them! oh my! including one FROM the BBB). Suddenly they agreed to reimburse us 100% but the money has not yet posted to our account (only 24 hours later though). So I am getting ready to call the credit card company again...
Keep every email they send you. Document every phone conversation you have with them. Just so you are prepared to go after them. Sigh!"

"FAKE PRICES!! Me: I am calling about ordering a Canon GL2. Sales Rep: Yes. Me: Is it on backorder. Sales Rep: That depends Me: That depends on what? Sales Rep: Are you going to purchase any accessories for it? Me: No. Sales Rep: Then it is on backorder."
"I ordered a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 television for $2,799.99 plus $299.99 for shipping. Everything was correct with the order, but I received an email indicating that I needed to contact them to confirm the order. I contacted Mike on extension 207. He was a very high pressure sales person. He first tried to sell me a 3-year extended warranty for $1,199. When I wouldn't buy, he reduced the price to $999. When I still wouldn't buy, he told me that I had purchased the International (Taiwan) version of the TV, and that it came with no warranty from Sony. He said that I could purchase the United States version for $3,499. At that point I cancelled my order and told him that I wouldn't do business with his company. In my opinion, they are just a bait and switch scam artist. They had no intention of selling the item for thier advertised price "
I ordered some TVs from them because their price is at least $1000 cheaper than the bigger stores. Website says they are made in USA and will ship within 24~48 hours.
After I got the order confirmation emails, they said they need to confirm the charges. And then during the phone call, they told me it's backorder and made up some stupid lies that told me the TVs are made in Asia somewhere, so it needs 2~3 weeks to ship them from the factory. I knew that was total BS because Sony does not make that model over that made up factory at all. My father-in-law has been doing the TV import export business for 40 years between Asia and US. So we told them to cancel the order.
Now the funniest part came out, they sent me a form for me to sign. That form bascially says we have to pay 10% of the totally cost for the cancellation. I was like WTH! I canceled something not even exsit and I have to pay 10% for the cancelation??!! Of course I called my credit card company to dispute whatever charge this fraud company has been made. And my credit card company told me that the charge has been made from pcplasma was very weird doesn't look like a normal transcation, my credit card company said they will 100% dispute the charge for us after we told them the whole story.
Then I went online to do more research about this company. (so regret I didn't do that before we made the purchase). The website is new on BBB, because their previous websites were full of complains. What they are trying to do is make one website to run business by lying and cheating, then close it and open another one. Here's what I found for their previous website from BBB.org

Customer Experience
Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau because it failed to respond to one or more complaints.
The company's size, volume of business, and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The number of complaints filed against a company may not be as important as the type of complaints, and how the company handled them. The BBB generally does not pass judgment on the validity of complaints filed.

I ordered a video camera accessory package thinking it included the camera. When it didn't I decided to cancel that order and to order the Sony HC1 that I thought I was getting already instead. The price on the site was $999 but I was told that was the "non english import model" and that the american model was $1500. Then they sold me on a filter kit (because the camera is HD) and tried to throw in a free 8 hour battery. I called later to cancel and they said I would be charged 15% as my credit card had already been processed. I felt stuck.
Today I called my credit card about them and they said that there was a pending charge on my card from the night before and that there was little they could do until the charge went through. However, when it did go through they would be willing to fight it for me. They said to ask that my order be cancelled.
So I sent 3 e-mnails asking them to cancel, with no response. I called their sales dept. and they said I would have to contact the customer service dept. to cancel.
Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, and this is my trump card here, it says in their policies that they will not charge your card until AFTER your order has shipped. Yet my card was being processed already and was subject to their 15% fee because of that. HMM, a direct violation of their own policies....tsk tsk.
I sent an e-mail to the customer service dept. demanding that my order be cancelled as soon as they get the e-mail tomorrow morning. I told them I expected a full refund as they were not supposed to charge my card until AFTER my order shipped. I also said that if they refused to cancel my order, I would let them deal with my credit card company, who, as I said before, back me 100% on this.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. There are better deals on ebay and other retailers on the same packages they have. Even BestBuy has a slightly better price on the camera right now because it is on sale. "
"Thanks for the comments, and for this website, I was going to buy a Sony 50" KDX-R50XBR1 (3500 at Best Buy, 2099 at PCandPlasma), but have decided to spend the extra money to save a LOT of headaches. I hope all of you received your money back... there must be something that can be done to stop retailers like this"
"I ordered a Sharp LC45GD7U 45" LCD HDTV for $3099. I was required to call in to verify and confirm this order. I called an spoke with Jim who tells me he needs the 3-digit code on the back of my card. This info should have been added to the online process. As you may have read from other reviews, the real purpose of order confirmation is to sell you warranty and the sales tactics are very aggressive. I've called this company (800)732-7960 several time for product info and finally the order confirmation and I spoke with the same person each time, Jim.
On my product info calls, he was very irritated that I was bothering him with my questions. From this, I should have known better. On the confirm order call, very pushy and spoke with me like I was naive. "So, why didn't you get that awesome deal that was offered?" I was confuse as there was no other offer presented when I made my online oerder. Looking back, he's trying to sell me the infamous and expensive might I add $800 In-Home Warranty. When I decline the offer, he says I'll be getting the import model. WHAT THE HECK!! There were no reference to import model when I ordered online. What a scam... I even tried to re-order to check and see if there was some notation that got passed me, but there were no reference to import model. Ask what is the difference between an import model and a USA model. Warranty was the difference. With the import model I would need to pay upwards off $500 for shipping plus insurance to send my TV overseas somewhere for repairs. To me, this means no warranty. With the import model, there were no in home service. I was frighten; and told him this was ridiculous. Had I known the purchase price I was paying online was for an import model, I wouldn't have made the purchase.
"We can change your order to a USA model," says Jim. I ask, "How much more?" It would be $3999 and you get the 1-year In-Home warranty from Sharp. I was just flabbergasted. They offered lower price but truly in the end their price was not competitive at all. I will never buy anything from this company...very shady company."

"I ordered a camcorder at a very low price, the Sony HDR HC1 at $999... I was weary to begin with, because most companies were selling the same camera anywhere between $1500 to $2000, but I figured it was worth the attempt at such a low price. I chose not to order any accessories, as they seemed over priced and not very necessary, and the day after I placed the order I was informed that the product was on backlog for 6-8 weeks. I've heard of this happening, and I feel as though this is a gross misstatement of the facts if they do not really supply the item purchased for the price advertised. Luckily I didn't purchase any of their accessories, because I'm guessing those would have been found aplenty in their wherehouse. "
