"Strongly reccomend avoiding pcboost.com! I recently ordered a barebones kit (assmebled tower) from them and experienced the following problems:

1. Computer tower was shipped late. Waited till last possible arrival date and then called them to ask why it hadnt arrived and if something had gone wrong. pcboost told me they could not tell if there had been any problems but BEGAN the shipping process after i called. Received finally within 4-5 days LATER.

2. Package was damaged with a large hole in one side.

3. Opened up and hooked up tower to computer, computer kept freezing randomly and I could not use it. Called customer service and was transfered to 'tech support' and all they told me to do was unplug stuff, restart and plugg things back in while continually reminding me it shouldnt be broken. wow, thanks captain obvious.

4. Read reviews about company online which apparently i shouldve done in the first place. Scary reviews and decided to take no risks and send my barebones kit back for a full refund as i was still within the 30 day grace period. Pcboost told me they WOULD NOT COVER shipping costs i had to pay. thanks again!

5. Understandably it took about a week for them to refund me back into my account EXCEPT the fact it was NOT THE FULL AMOUNT i had paid them!! Read their terms and conditions online which were not very direct. Called pcboost only to be informed their is a 15% re-stocking fee. THIS IS NOT listed in their terms and conditions AND they sent me a BROKEN ITEM!!!

Thankfully I was able to get my full refund despite the odds. All in all I wasted money and a whole lot of time with this company. I couldve had a computer a month ago!! If this company were serious about good business they would have been way more efficient and careful with shipping and not charge a customer shipping and fees when they have a broken item that was THEIR fault.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! COMPANY IS VERY SHADY!!!!!!!!!"

"This is a fraudulent company that operates under several names. I ordered 256MB SDRAM on 1/30/2010 from 1stCHOICEMEMORY.COM and received confirmation of order arrival within 6 days. As of 2/19/2010 still have not received order and they refuse to provide a tracking #. This company charged me $39.99 3x on my credit card under 3 different names, one of which was PCBOOST.COM who I have never ordered from. BEWARE!!!THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS!!!"

"Ordered an AMD XP 2600+ motherboard Combo, everything arived at once on schedule, unfortuantly the motherboard was bad, called up Customer service they said go ahead and return it and they would send another. I asked if they could send another brand cause i've heard bad things about the one I was orignally shiped and they said no problem.. Sent it off today we'll see what happens.... Well its been about 13 days called them to see what was up they said they tested the board adn it was bad and that they were sending the new one out today. I requested that they send a different brand this time and the nice lady on the phone said they would. The new board should be here sometime next week, its sat now. So far i am very pleased with the service. I would surely buy from this company again."

"I had a very good experience with this seller. I ordered 128MB PC2100 RAM...they emailed me the next day saying that the RAM was not compatible with my motherboard. I (knowing that is WAS compatible, it was generic) told them not to "upgrade my order to Atlas Brand RAM" and they emailed me back the day after telling me that the item had shipped and would arrive between the 16 and the 20. I received the item on the 15! Excellent!! Works fine in the motherboard too. Great seller! Would definitely recommend!"

"I ordered a motherboard/cpu combo and I received it ontime. I then assembled the pc and it was slowand I use all quality parts. I called tech support and they would not advance replace the motherboard. They wanted me to ship it back at my expense and wait for them to check it and then decide wether they would replace it or not. Meaning I would be without a pc for another 2 weeks"

"Took them 11 days to process, ship and deliver a motherboard/cpu combo that they supposedly had in stock. I even paid extra for expidited air shipping through fedex. These people SUCK and I will never use them again. BEWARE....RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!"

"My last buy with this store was a motherboard, but I have purchased memory and some other items over the last two years. I am very concerned with the condition of merchandise when I buy mail order. I find a lot of companies sell products that are not really intended for the US market and sometimes the US company will not service or support the item. All of the stuff I have purchased from pcboost.com has been new and comes in the original box with everything sealed. This is something to look for. With computer parts, if you get anything that has a label in another language be careful. I have checked with ASUS aboout my board and they said the part is a US model and has a US warranty. Everything went well with the delivery and the sale (as it should). No problems to report. I would buy from pcboost.com again."

"I would recomend staying away from this merchant. In July, 2003 my company ordered 4 128MB RAM modules. June rolled around and we still had not received our order. So we called or emailed pcboost.com(can't remember which) and they told us that we they had shipped the order and if we had not received it we needed to send them a fax saying so. Did that the same day they told us to. At this time I became very busy and almost forgot about the order. So October rolls around and we still have not recieved anything from them. I call the other day to ask about the order and talked to a very rude person at customer support who told me that they had sent out the replacement order a month or so ago. I finally get her to realize that we hadn't recieved anything and that she needed to look again and low and behold they never actually sent out the replacement order(even though they had recieved my fax fine). Supposidly they were going to finally ship out our order that day (using FedEx this time) and email us with a tracking number. Two days later still no response from them so I called again. Who ever I talked to seemed confused about the order, still didn't have a tracking number, and didn't even know if they had sent anything out yet. So it is a few months later and we still have not received out order. Hopefully it will show up before 2004.

"I ordered a mobo/proc combo with a syntaxsv266ad and amd xp2200. sounded like a great deal, right? The shipping took next to an eternity, and the parts didn't work. i obviously couldn't figure out what was wrong since i have no way to test it. the computer didn't even turn on... I called the local computer store and they said when it doesn't turn on, then you've got a bad processor.

so i call up pcboost and they tell me to send it back and they'll replace it (either mobo/proc or both). well A MONTH later, i get it and they tell me that the processer was "physically damaged - warranty voided". so i figure i'll just buy a new proc and refuse to pay for the old one. well sure enough, after i get the new proc, the computer starts but the motherboard is busted! it won't read the ram. i ordered the ram from a DIFFERENT company. i went back to that local store and had them test the ram. just fine.

you must remember i bought all of my parts to be compatible. so that isn't the problem. anyway, now i'm going to refuse to pay for the motherboard and proc, and buy a new motherboard from the local shop.

to sum everything up, this company gave me nothing but a chance to waste my money and my time (at this point 5 weeks). PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH PCBOOST.COM."
