"I purchased a 10298289 Home Sentinel CA1203 Wide Angle Security Camera
I contacted (emailed) Overstock.com before the purchase due to the poor overall ratings. They answered promptly (by email) and assured me that the product was OEM/New/Sealed in box.
I purchased 2 of these.
The product came quickly and was as stated. The boxes were a little worn - seemed to be due to storage and handling which did not surprise me since these cameras have not been manufactured for several years so these would have to be surplus. I would not hesitate to purchase another camera of the same type from this seller.
NOTE: I read many of the complaints against Overstock.com and the majority seemed to be that they did not read the agreements and other related pages one should read before making a purchase. Their email is as stated in the reviews though... they do feel very generic and script prompted. The other suggestion I would make is to use PayPal to make online purchases when you can since you have some help available from them or the credit card company if you have a problem. "

The company communications with the customer (via email) throughout the whole process of the order. I also like the fact that the company uses a reliable courier (until UPS which is notorious for not delivering on time and/or losing packages for weeks). Thank you for your prompt service and for using a reliable courier."
"Purchased a Fuji camera earlier this year. This was a factory replacement and was scratched on the outside but since it only cost $99 it did not worry me. At the time I purchase repacement coverage. My wife took in on holiday and unfortuately fell while holding the camera. The camera was badly damaged. Sent the damaged camera back to overstock and they immediately gave a credit for the full amount. Order replacement camera on Monday evening and it arrived Wednesday. Great shape works fine. Ordered books from them previously and again no problem. Customers should be aware that although Overstock has limited warehousing, for the majority of their business they are simply a selling portal for other retailer or suppliers. They have a different business model to say Amazon. I think this is the reason why there are big differences between different customer experiances."
"Bought quake 4 collectors dvd edition for $13.16 with free usps shipping that also included online tracking. It arrived in an odd package (two pieces of a thick brown paper glued together around the game box), but everything arrived quickly and undamaged.
From what one can see on their webpage they tend to be vague about the product's details and probably dont realize what they're stocking even if you asked them. For example, quake4 collectors and special dvd edition are the same item, but one was $13.16 while the other was around $35. So be 100% sure you know what you are getting or you might not quite get what you expected."
