"A carefully tweaked, tuned and rodded box was what I wanted and thats exactly what I got. These guys really care about what they're doing and it shows through the attention to detail that they show throughout every step of the process. Plus the level of personal support you get after the sale is amazing. If I ever need a new machine, it will be an OPC.
UPDATE*
Well it finally happened, the time came when I finally needed a new machine. My family's getting bigger and one computer's just not enough anymore. Sure I could've bought a Dell or something for the kids.... pffft I don't think so. I care too much for my family to have them putzing around on an inferior machine.
I dropped Mario a line, he called me back, we discussed what I needed, he built it, shipped it, called to confirm that I got it, he made sure that nothing was damaged during shipment, made sure I got hooked up and rolling and told me to be sure to call if I had ANY problems.
Come on! It just don't get any better than that!

OPC and Mario show a level of commitment, dedication, trustworthiness, skill and knowledge of their product that you just can't find anywhere else on the planet.
Oh yeah I'll be buying another OPC ... no doubt about it.

"The pre-purchasing experience was very good. OPC took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me weigh the factors in deciding between an AMD-based vs. an Intel-based system. Their web-based system configuration form was extremely easy to use, and I was e-mailed a detailed quote immediately upon completion.

OPC kept me informed thru all phases of the system build, letting me know when parts arrived, when the system was completed, how testing was going, etc. They promptly provided me with all the necessary tracking information as the product was shipped.

Prior to making the decision to purchase an OPC system, I did some investigation on sites such as pricewatch.com, and I came to the conclusion that I could not build a better system on my own at a significantly lower expense. When you factor in the amount of time it takes to properly put together a system with all the care and the extras that OPC adds to their systems, then the do-it-yourself approach doesn't even come close.

When I received my system (early, btw), I was impressed by the packing job -- nothing, short of driving the delivery truck over the box, could possibly damage the system during shipping.

When I cracked open the case to have a look at my new system, I was amazed by the attention to detail. Absolutely no corners were cut whatsoever, from the stainless steel mounting hardware, to the spiral wrapped and velcro-bound cabling, to the innovations such as the headphone-style power jack used to power the surecool fan in the door. I support shipboard computer systems for a living, and I know that professional cable management does not come cheap. There is not a single tie-wrap in this system -- everything is either spiral-wrapped, or bound with velcro. Furthermore, there are no air-flow constricting ribbon cables, except for the cable for the soundblaster audigy -- instead, rounded ATA-style cables were used, making for a much cleaner look.

Although I've only used the support twice (both times for problems caused by my foolishness), I can say confidently that the support is top-notch (as an aside, I'd like to say that the support I get from Dell for the laptop I purchased earlier last year is totally horrible... too bad OPC doesn't make laptops).

Finally the performance of the system. 9190 on the 3DMark2001 benchmark at 640x480 (no anti-aliasing), 176.8 frames per second in the Q3A timedemo four using a high-quality config -- outstanding. Needless to say, my game has improved tenfold since I got my machine. Thanks OPC!"

"OPC is by far the best PC out there for a gamer. They can build you a system that is incredibly fast and affordable for the kind of power in todays high end games. I've talked with the fine staff at OPC for a good half a year about ordering a PC and they were just as friendly then as they are now, 3 days after I received it. Any possible question about computing you can think of, these guys will answer! I was lucky enough to be able to watch my entire box built through a thread on their excellent forums (I'll get to them later :) Part by part they posted every last step down to the packing, which is very, VERY, well done. You can tell that these guys know what they are doing and love to do it. To the last detail they make sure that your machine is perfect, from the custom wiring job to the outstanding cooling system. An example of this is with mine: I purchased an Athlon 2200+ that they standardly overclock. During the vigorous test they put it through it performed very well until the heat was turned up and the machine barely gave out after numerous loops through 3DMark. Instead of letting it slide they turned it down just a hair and ran through their tests flawlessly. It goes to show you that they care more about your system for the long run instead of a good benchmark one time to show off. They aren't about to sacrifice stability for performance when, in this case, was not even a 7% difference between them. I just can't say enough about them and my PC, I honestly love it! It runs so smooth and outperforms many of their competitors. One more thing about them is the community they support. There have been numerous times where people would post a question on the forums and within minutes sometimes an answer would be there even before an OPC Professional could answer. The forums are a great way to get to know the folks at OPC and people who have already purchased one, not to mention the public servers they provide for several games. Bottom line: if you are interested in getting a new beast of a PC check these guys out, you won't regret it!"

"The ordering process for OPC was a breeze! I just spent a couple of minutes on their interactive system designer and hit SEND. I also had some questions about some of the options available for hard drive configuration, so I emailed those also. Later that same day, they replied with the answers I needed. They were very patient, and were able to answer all of my questions. After I made up my mind, I finalized the order and they got to work. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I was kept up to date on the progress the entire time so I always knew where they were at. When I picked up my box, they took the time to explain the details of everything that went into the construction. Their help documentation is very thorough, as is their tech support. And if all else fails, recovery discs are provided to put you back to your original state. After a quick framerate demonstration in Quake 3, I was free to mess around with it. "Impressed" is truly an understatement. You can look at the pictures of their boxes all day, but you can't really appreciate the work that goes into them until you've seen them in real life. For the naysayers complaining about the price, you need to realize that these aren't generic parts going into the machines. These are the best parts at the best prices. You're getting an awesome machine for a relatively very low price. Needless to say, OPC will be the only place I'll consider when it's time for an upgrade.

"I set OPC a challenge with my order, rather than buying a gaming machine from them, I order a 1U Rackmount server. I choose OPC for such a job after being involved in the awesome community for a few months, and I decided that OPC certainly know their stuff! I've never seen a more dedicated, knowledgable, caring company in my life. And not only that... their products are second to *none*.

Our machine has been in use 24/7 since day one, recieveing millions and millions of hits since it's installation, and we've never had a single hardware problem. Our machines speed is comparable to that of a much higher spec, all due to the fact that OPC spend their time and set it up better than any one else. I could never have been happier with my purchse, and even now I recieve support from OPC when I need it... and not just for my OPC, they have helped me with various other home machines too! You can check out the speeds by looking at my company website (its-explosive.net)

I have plans to buy two more OPCs in the near future, both for personal gaming use...

OPC will also be the planned PC of choice for my companies offices.

Sorry for rambling, but I just can't say enough times, that OPC are the best at what they do.

"I was first referred to OPC by a friend of a friend. At the time my most likely purchase I was considering was either an Alienware system or a Tiger Direct water cooled system but both were a bit pricey. After about a month of indecisiveness, I finally checked out OPC in depth. They have a very detailed section on how they build their systems, and wow, what a setup. I started to check out the community surrounding OPC and was impressed there as well. A lot of people who bought an OPC even from when they first opened are still immensely happy with it.

The last thing that finally drove me to buy one was that the prices were far more competitive that any of the other gaming machines I have seen. Alienware wanted around $2600 for a system OPC could build me for around $2000. I was worried that they were cutting corners, but not only do they list every single part they use down to the screws for the case, they even customize the parts you never see. When I finally picked out every spec carefully, I finally took the plunge and clicked 'buy now'. What happened after that was quite unexpected. Normally you would go to a secure ordering form, throw in your card # and off you go. Instead, I received a "thank you for submitting your buy request, a rep will be with you within 24 hours." I felt slightly annoyed I would have to wait but that went away when I had the owner himself e-mailing me after an hour.

What really impressed me was what his e-mail contained. He thanked me for my purchase but he wanted to make sure I ordered what I really wanted. He first wanted to see what I was after in a machine and then decided to customize it even further before I made my order. Boy, am I glad he did as I was able to jack my system specs up even higher with little added cost. What was even better was when he asked what budget I was on and if I wanted to go the route of saving a little cash by doing 'this and that' or spending a little by doing 'this and that.' In the end I configured a faster machine for barely any extra cost. What service! Not only did he update me regularly with how the system was doing but also the day it was supposed to be shipped he explained to me that the switch for the external cooling was bad. I thought "okay, so I get my machine later than I thought." Wrong again! He DROVE 40 miles out of his way (he mentioned where he drove and it was right around that far
from their business address when I checked) and picked up a new
switch, installed it, and shipped it 2-day FedEx the next morning instead of 3 day at no charge to me to get it to me as originally scheduled! What a buying experience!

The customer service did not end there. When I received the machine, it performed beautifully! Unfortunately after a few days, one of the games I commonly play started crashing. I should mention that when I received my machine I pretty much ignored my e-mail and other stuff in favor of playing games. When I finally did check my e-mail, he was going frantic wondering if my machine arrived and was in working order. I mentioned in passing that it was crashing with one of my games, and being that I used to do tech support for Microsoft I was just going to fix it myself when I had the time.

Again, the owner of OPC called 'me' to help me fix the issue! We
narrowed it down to being the display driver that was shipped with it
so we just went with a slightly newer driver and it seemed to fix it.
They originally did not ship the OPC with the newest driver as they said it did not perform as fast as the original drivers they sent. I also had some issues with my cable modem software & my USB which he also tracked down and fixed.

So, in short, just from the buying experience alone you can tell that the staff at OPC is hell bent on building the best possible PC
EVERYTIME they make one. You just cannot go wrong with buying one of these as your next gaming machine! They look slick, they play perfectly and they just keep getting better! I also paid $200-$300 less than what I would have paid for some other gaming machine that would not be as powerful and would not have the personalized, top quality that OPC has. It has an automatic 1 year warranty so you just flat out can't go wrong. More than that, you feel 100% safe with your purchase because you know you will be taken care of. How many companies tech support call you before you even have a chance to call them? It can't be many.

As a side note, a lot of the gamers that buy OPC's end up as regulars in their great community. They have a very large and friendly community as per their forums should you have need of them. I really can't say enough about them. Even if the price of the machine was more along the lines of their competitors, you get tenfold 'bang for the buck' with an OPC. They are a great group of guys who have a passion for building perfect PC's and that's what gets you the best gaming machine money can buy.

"Dear Overdrive PC:

Thank you so much for my new computer. I was not quite sure which of your machines would fit my needs and your staff was so informative and so patient while explaining to me my options. The tech support that I received when setting up my machine was simply the best bar none.

I have referred Overdrive PC to all of my clients and I will continue to be a loyal customer for life. There is no product on the market that compares to the machines that you have to offer. The fact that you offer tech support to any one in need really shows the integrity that your company stands by.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks again!"
