DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!
Their sales staff haven't got a clue, their support staff are rude and unhelpful and their returns policies are downright ILLEGAL!
You have to threaten legal action to get them to do anything other than take your money!

They asked me for several documents to validate my order. I said that I wanted to cancel it (I don't own a scanner).
Meanwhile they charged my credit card !
My order is still "waiting security validation" on their website.
I'm waiting for refund and it better be quick.
For now all I'm receiving from them is more or less automated and pre-redacted e-mails. This review was modified by its author, vento, on

Ordered most of a new system from OcUK. Got the order a couple of days later. Quite happy with both prices and service.

I've used Overclockers.co.uk for several years and they've always exceeded my expectations.
They are very reliable and very efficient.
I always recommend them to friends who need the best components. Feedback from friends is always positive.

Awful Awful company to deal with!!!!!
I ordered a monitor with them as a present for my boyfriend.
It was delivered damaged (box had been dropped on its corner and had very obvious crack in the cardboard) which is obviously not Overclockers fault but the couriers. I thought Id try the monitor anyway and I figured if its not working thats what they/the couriers have insurance for.
Monitor didnt work and I asked for a replacment. They said they wouldnt send out the replacement until the orignal was sent back (fair enough) and I would have to send it back myself as they were having "problems" with the couriers. I decided I wasnt willing to hand out the £35+vat for DHL to bring it back and I insisted they send the couriers themselves as they were able to send them out to deliver items. I was told 3 days in a row that they were coming the next day to collect it and in the end I had to demand they send a courier and after sitting on hold for another half hour I decided to get a refund as I realised I was just being messed about. They sent the courier to the wrong address even tho i specifically stated it was my work they had to come to.
Trading Standards assured me that under the distance selling act I was entitled to a full refund including delivery charges as the item delivered was faulty. When they were processing my refund they first refused to give me delivery charges and then couldnt (wouldnt) give me an exact refund amount. I had to quote the Trading Standards distance selling act to them!
They are a bunch of ignorant smug idiots (with the exception of 1 of the tech support team) and I will never buy off them again!
If only I could get compensation for the money I spent calling them which amounted to almost £100!!!!
I think they must work on commission for most money not handed back to entitled customers!

I have used this company to build many complete performance systems over several years now. The goods have always arrived the next day and have always been as specified.
In all that time I've had 2 faulty items, both beyond OCUK control (i.e. retail boxed). One set of headphones with faulty wiring, and a power supply that wouldn't boot a system that it really should have coped with. Both have been promptly refunded after raising an RMA.
On another occasion I ordered the wrong part, phoned them up and they quickly changed the order over the phone.
I have recommended them to a number of friends without any complaints.
Sometimes you can buy slightly cheaper elsewhere, but rarely can you get such up to date gear, and delivered within a few hours.

I used these very recently to buy a Custom PC off them. They are god-awful.
For one, they lie to their customers and try to wiggle out of refunds and shipping charges. The PC I got was sent to me faulty, it had to go back and I was duly promised that the shipping costs would be covered by themselves, but I had to pay up front
This wasn't the case as it seems, as they disputed the receipt and the shipping charges, saying it was too expensive to refund, despite their customer service telling me it would be refunded. This is also despite that I have the courier telling me OC shouldn't be disputing the receipt.
PC Also comes back to me after being "Fixed" and is once again, faulty. I asked for a full refund, was refused on grounds of the PC being custom built, had to quote a consumer law to remind them their obligation, and then was told that they would accept my refund, with exception to the shipping charges to ship it over. Quoted again and reminded them that because the PC was faulty, they have an obligation to refund me full, without myself incurring any additional charges.
So now I have that sorted. There's still the matter over the initial shipping costs however.
Do not use Overclockers, and here's why...
1: They lie
2: Constumers come second, profits first
3: They have no email function, only webnotes
4: Their customer support lines are all high premium numbers (Support isn't cheap nor is it free)
5: They have a bad bad reputation for sending out faulty goods
6: They treat you like shit when you are in a dispute with them
7: You need to know your rights as a consumer when dealing with cowboys like these
8:Their RMA system is out of date in relation to the status on their website, so your not kept updated
9: You will never have a problem getting through sales, you will through technical support or systems support
10: They do not fully test your PC, despite them saying they do. And they will blame any damages on the courier
Good Points:
1: Fast delivery
And thats it. Keep well away!

I've ordered from overclockers.co.uk before, and always been impressed by the range of their goods and never really had any problems before. The last order was a shambles though.
I was looking for an SLI set-up, and overclockers.co.uk had just one of the cards I was after in stock (a B-grade as it happened, but that didn't matter to me). Another company also had just one in stock. I decided to order both.
The day they were supposed to arrive the one from the other company (as fate would have it overclock.co.uk) turned up as expected, and I'd happily been tracking it through the web as normal. For overclockers.co.uk though the card was still showing as being in the warehouse. I seemed to remember that they weren't very good at keeping the web information up to date so wasn't too worried, but eventually sent an email to find out what was going on. After a bit of back and forth it turned out that they no longer had the card, even though they'd already taken the money for it. Needless to say the order is now cancelled. Choosing an SLI set-up is tricky, as the cards have to be the same, and I am now left with a particularly difficult decision as I may well not be able to locate another card so may have to return the one that did turn up!
Whilst I can appreciate that web companies might have trouble keeping track of stock, I feel that overclockers.co.uk are no longer trustworthy enough to use as a company for the following reasons:
Their stock systems are not capable of accurately tracking stock levels quickly enough
Their web systems are not advanced enough to inform customers of problems with their order
Their customer service systems are a challenge for the customer rather than the company

I received 8800 GT graphics card which instantly failed after bursting into flames. I presumed this was a new item but thinking in retrospect with overclockers.co.uk, i'm not so sure. This was the first RMA and I asked for a direct replacement. This arrived the next day after they paid for collection but to my amazement the box wasn't sealed; the driver cd was smudged and the bag surrounding the graphics card had obviously been opened several times. Obviously a used item. I couldn't believe it so I requested a replacement again and was told that second hand or refurbished items are sometimes sent by mistake. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and went through RMA process again. Again the replacement arrived only to find it in a worst state of use than the previous card - the VGA adapter was badly damaged and bags that should have been sealed were ripped open.
I spent some time on the phone and demanded a refund and I would warn people that Overclockers.co.uk send used and refurbished items under the guise of new ones.
They say they have refunded my money as I have now demanded (£94) but it will take a few days to come through.
I will be sticking with amazon from now on.

I have purchased most of my PC components from these for years now. And I have never had a problem with them. I have placed 17 orders this year alone, and have had one problem, which was sorted out quickly and to my satisfaction. They have always delivered when they said they would, and send out an email stating despatch day/time with a tracking number (Assuming its Citylink). The only issues I have had is with Citylink claiming they carded you but in fact never even came down the street.
OcUK also provide forums for the community and there are literally thousands of satisfied customers on there. Most of the reviews on here are too old now to be of any relevance due to a change of ownership last year.

Bought a striker II board from them that would not boot…returned to them and they tested, they insisted it was ok. And returned to me …
In good faith I sold it on Ebay and guess what…it would not boot…..I have had to refund the money and now have a bad rating…..I suppose the board will end up in the bin….
Ps…. congratulations to Mark Proudfoot (Overclockers MD) on the £1.5 million order he has just placed for a new boat….

I ordered three items (all were in stock at the time), and specified next day delivery.
I took the next day off work to receive the items only to find out that one item was out of stock, and that the order hadn't been sent out.
I spoke to Overclockers, and was given every excuse under the sun as to why their web-site stated these items were in stock, why they hadn't ben bothered to let me know the order wouldn't be fulfilled, and about how hard they were working, at everything except filling people's orders.
I had my order cancelled, and I've cancelled my account with them.
I sent a complaint in to their web-site, and got a curt reply saying the order had been cancelled. I didn't receive anything in the way of an apology, and no fault on their part was acknowledged.
This would have been my second purchase in 10 days.
If you can give them some notice, they're not too bad at getting things right. If you want your stuff in a hurry, go elsewhere or be disappointed.

Ordered a Netgear SC101T from Overclockers, the PSU failed after a few days. Sent it back and replacement received. Only got refunded the return postage after I asked for it. The replacement SC101T also failed within a few days so was returned and refund requested on the 17th October. Ordered a Synology DS207 instead which is still working fine. It is now the 7th of November and despite saying that I would get a refund I'm still waiting. Next stage will be Court action. I'm not happy with the customer service from Overclockers so suggest you look elsewhere if you want PC parts. i shall not be using them again.
