"Bought a socket 478 p4 to update my old PC.Got the cpu with 7 bent pins,bent them back into shape and installed in my system. CPU burned my motherboard up.When I returned the cpu I just wanted the money back I spent on the cpu and not for them to replace the board.They refused a refund stating that the pins were bent,when I received my original purchase back,no pins were even slighty bent.Not a big lose as the cpu was only 40 dollars,but it does go to the character of the company.Seeing how the 40 dollars means so much more to them than repeat business.I will warn as many people as I can about the shady nature of this company.I had to toss the cpu in the trash but have learned a valuable lesson in the ordeal."

"I placed an order with this company because of a high Bizrate score. Then I needed to change the order, so I went looking for the contact number only to find a fax number and an email address. A check with directory assistance showed no listing for this company - I began to panic. I sent three emails to this company and followe up with one fax. The last email message and the fax message demanded cancellation of the order as there was no way for it to have shipped by this point.

Twelve hours later, I received a message telling me the order shipped via UPS. The UPS tracker verified that the package wasn't picked up for shipment until the approximate time of the notice, which was, in fact, about 12 hours after my last notice to this company. The order is now in the UPS system and my card was charged, according to the bank.

60 hours after my first contact attempt, I've not received any response from these people, yet I did get an order shipment confirmation. They don't care about customer service - they do care about shipping products you don't want and getting your money.

Complaints will be issued to the Attorneys General of Nevada and my home state, along with reports being lodged with the Better Business Bureau.

Stay clear of this company at all costs. There are much better companies out there offering better value and far better customer satisfaction.

In my opinion, OutletPC is an extremely shady operation which should be avoided at all costs. Deal with them at your own risk."

"ordered 2 sound cards (cmi8768) that were clearly listed as having optical i/o.

what they shipped me were 2 8738 NON digital sound cards (no optical i/o ports). clearly not what I ordered.

update:

I emailed them and they are working with me to solve the problem. I did get a fast reply from them and they admitted their mistake. so far, so good. will report back with the final conclusion.

"I am very dissatisfied with this company's return policies I received a DOA power supply and Have to pay all shipping. I understand a company cannot stay in business if they do not show profits. but they need to take care of customers. I will never do business with them again because of this and hope no one else gets stuck by them"

"OutletPC has great prices and products of questionable quality. I have purchased from OutletPC in the past with good results. I set up my home wireless system for about $60. But this last time I was 2 for 2 in recieving faulty components. It's definitely not worth the hassle. Unfortuantely I discarded the box for one component so I can't return it, and the other one only cost $9 so it isn't worth the hassle."

"Ordered a few items, got an e-mail stating that the status had been changed. The link for UPS tracking showed that the tracking number didn't exist. When I tried to send an e-mail, I got a non-delivery error because the mailbox doesn't exist. I won't do business with them again - if I ever get what i ordered."

"This store engages in questionable business practices. Be sure you are buying what you think. They sell refurbished products and try to deceive you into thinking you are buying new. Instead of listing the product as a refurbished model, they bury the "refurbished" info somewhere in the product description hoping you won't find it. When I contacted them to ask them why they sent me a refurbished product, their answer was basically "you should have seen it in the product details." The bottom line: I bought a refurbished product for $20.00 more that I would have paid for a new product after rebate. This store will never see me again!!"

"This merchant has the worst customer service I've encountered on the internet so far. Everything takes forever with this company because they have no phone number at all! And they reply to emails only when they feel like it! The original order was short 2 items and a third was defective but I was billed for entire order. They re-shipped one item and issued credit for the other missing item within 2 weeks. They received defective item on 4-10-06 and i didn't get a credit until 6-14-06, after I requested information about my issue via email on 6-6-06, which they decided not to reply to and leave me hanging about my credit status.

They lost a good customer."
