"I needed a small quantity of a certain kind of switches from C&K series 7000.
No vendor in Europe was able to deliver the switches in this special configuration. All of them could sell only the standard-switch of this Series at the price of € 11.60.

Online-Components delivered the switches within 10 days in the desired configuration from USA to Austria at the price of € 8.20 including all freight costs, charges, import duty and import purchase tax.

"JUST DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!! They can't deliver what they promised and do not disclose additional charges which we have to pay. When comes to refund, we have to pay the bank fee as well. "

"The worst company I have dealt with online in years. Placed an order with them on 10/29. Received confirmation email. Checked on order today, nothing shipped. They claim my credit card was declined and they sent an email - no email, verified my credit card is fine, verified with bank no charge was put through.

Called them to fix it. They asked to call back later. I said no, I'll just give you a new card but the order must go out today. They verified the order would go out today. I gave them the new card.

I checked again at 6pm to verify the order would go out. They said yes. I then received this email from them:

Hello,

My warehouse cannot find p/n A8L-11-11N1. The factory lead time is 03/19/2013. Please let me know if you would like to cancel or leave on backorder.

My chat with them then followed, where they claimed something I did not say:

OLC Rep: Hello. How may I assist you?
Jonathan Taylor: i want to cancel my entire order 196383
Jonathan Taylor: immediately.
Jonathan Taylor: after ordering on the 29th, receiving no email from you, being told on chat my credit card was declined, verifying the order would go out today, checking again that the order would go out today, i received this email from you:
Jonathan Taylor: Hello, My warehouse cannot find p/n A8L-11-11N1. The factory lead time is 03/19/2013. Please let me know if you would like to cancel or leave on backorder. Thanks, Mark Sabella
Jonathan Taylor: Do not charge my card, do not ship me anything.
Jonathan Taylor: Your company is one of the absolute worst I have dealt with in years.
Jonathan Taylor: I will never be back.
Jonathan Taylor: please verify that 100% of my order is canceled and nothing will ship and that I will not be charged anything.
OLC Rep: Just a moment while I pull it up please.
OLC Rep: It looks like every other part has already been picked up by UPS. I understand your frustration, however we did confirm an email was sent to you in regards to your credit card.
OLC Rep: It definitely happens every now and then that our warehouse goes to pull a part and they can not locate it. I sincerely apologize about that.
OLC Rep: Per Victoria, you confirmed the email went to your spam box as well.
Jonathan Taylor: No, i absolutely did not. That is a lie.
Jonathan Taylor: I said I checked my spam box, and nothing was there.
Jonathan Taylor: I also checked with my bank, who said nothign went through.
Jonathan Taylor: I will contest the credit card charge. I will also be posting on every site online what an awful service you offer.

This company is a complete waste of time. Again, one of the worst I've dealt with in years.

"I bought a small quantity of switches from Online components and the order was shipped complete and I received it 3 days after it was ordered. The order was complete, very well packaged and I am very happy with my purchase. I read some comments before I purchased from them and I believe that many folks must not know what they want or expect. Everything from Online was handled very professionally and to my complete satisfaction. I will definitely purchase any additional parts I need from them in the future. Great job guys!"

"I had a long list of parts to locate and all of them were stock at onlinecomponents.com. I tried to place an order but had a problem with entering the qty. After getting on their chat and telling them about the qty issue, they immediately took charge and took care of the issue. They gave me great customer service and made my job super easy. I even called to make sure my order was correct in their system and I got a live body right away. I will definately use onlinecomponents.com again. Thank you for making it a HAPPY FRIDAY"

"In all of my communications with On Line Components they have been prompt, courteous and detailed. I have yet to have an issue with them that I have not been able to resolve. On orders that I have placed, they have been fulfilled in the same day...with excellent follow up information for me to track my packages. I am very pleased with Online Components as a vendor. "

"I have to thank OnlineComponents for delivering. Late Thursday afternoon we needed an atypical part for critical product Demo. ASAP! Yesterday! “Immediately! If not sooner!”, of course! I looked up the manufactures part number, searched for the part through my usual sources and nothing was in stock. I kind'a expected that and it seems all too usual in this situation.
I found plenty of parts in stock ready to ship at Waldom, “The Distributors, Distributor.” I called, they won’t sell to me, I’m not a distributor, then I call the manufactures salesperson, they both said, go through your usual distributors. My distributors would then ask for a quote from Waldom.
Oh! Then it was mentioned, they might not be working tomorrow. Tomorrow is a holiday. A holiday! I was working on Friday and completely forgot the Holiday. To me, that means, I might get the quote Friday, or next Monday only then I could place the order.
I went back to Waldom, ” found their distributor list, saw that Master Distributors was nearest to me, I checked their Website, put in the Mfr’s PN, and their site redirected me to, OnlineComponents. Frankly, my heart sank, I don’t know them, and I don’t like that many links in the chain.
I held my breath and placed the order anyway, shipping overnight and on my dime, so I could get them as fast as I could. My jaw dropped, Friday morning, I had my parts!
The other distributors, if they happened to be working on the Holiday, the same distributors I have accounts with, would get a quote for the “out of stock”, “not carried part.” Then promise 1-7days delivery after receiving my PO., and I knew they would pull the part from Waldom. OnlineComponents delivered within 20 hours from the time I placed my order. I had the parts ready to for my engineers and for the customer demo. Thank you, Master Distributors and OnlineComponents.

"I recently had an issue with my order. Amir Nizam stepped in and had resolved very quickly. He actually sent me an email on a weekend so I would know it was resolved. It was greatly appreciated.

"I just ordered some terminals and switches from Online Components and the customer service worked with me to combine both orders and waive the order minimum on the second order since they hadn't shipped the first order yet. They were also generous as I supplied a corporate UPS shipping account number but offerred free shipping. Very satisfied and will return to do more business at Onlinecomponents.com!"

"Simply incredible. Onlinecomponents.com not only carries hard to find components but they seem to always have the lowest price available.

Placing the order online is a breeze and they're always willing to verify stock and pricing. They have fantastic customer service and when they said they'll get back to me shortly, they did.

"Great experience actually - They are really turning things around!

I needed a few rather specialized components for a small project I am building. I ran across Onlinecomponents during a Google search and they indicated they had everything in stock and at a great price. (I normally buy through Digikey or Mouser - but this time my part was not a stocked item and the price would have been nearly double anyway.) So I decided to give Onlinecomponents a try...

I did a bit more research about Onlinecomponents and got quite concerned when I discovered a number of less than glowing reviews from the past about excessive shipping charges and other monkey business. So I called in to get a straight story from them - but it turned out to be a Very Pleasant Surprise!

The person I spoke with was very courteous and looked up my order right away. I mentioned my nervousness after reading comments from other people - but instead of becoming defensive or argumentative, he actually empathized with me! He also mentioned they realize this is a problem and they are working on a solution to address it with fixed shipping charges. So it turns out my total shipping charge only came out to be $10 and that included shipping via UPS and arrived on the second day.

All in all, Onlinecomponents worked out really well for me - I got my parts at a very good price, shipping charges were reasonable, delivery time was fast, customer services was great and I believe they are sincere about turning things around to improve their image. I will definitely be a return customer when I need parts for my small projects."

"My experience with this company has be stellar.

I ordered four cables and they shipped right away. The shipping cost was determined by the carrier (UPS)and not a high price estimate usually charged by online company's.

The Rep was courteous and helpful."
