Amazing customer service!

"They truly have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. I have ordered from omhaha multiple times all for different occasions. The last steaks that I ordered didn't seem as good as they usually were so I wrote them an email. They sent me new steaks within the same week. That is insane!"

Tiny Portions

"This is the second time I've ordered and the last time I will order from Omaha Steaks. I paid $80 to feed six people for Easter dinner and I'll need to buy a lot more food. I would be embarrassed to server these portions. So disappointing! "

Customer service -1 Omaha Steaks must hate our service men and women!

"It started out by me thinking my son, who is in the Air Force, might like some steaks for Christmas. So I order almost $300 worth of steaks for him. I knew the mail system on base was slow at reporting packages to him so I asked for his friends address who lived off base. Here is where I will take some of the blame. The address was 6401 and I typed in 6301. However this was an large multi-structure apartment complex. UPS attempted delivery to the 6301 address and called my son to get the corrected address. He gave them the 6401 address but they never attempted re-delivery. So from here it looks like Omaha Steaks held no blame, and UPS was at fault. I am fine with that assessment, except for the lack of customer service I received from Omaha Steaks. I called them and asked were the package was, they told me they would have to re-send it because it was sitting in the warehouse too long to be edible. The representative I talked to originally said I would have to pay for just the shipping. I was upset but figured this was better then nothing. Turns out they were trying to charge my card for the entire amount again. I stopped that order.
I contacted customer service again, they transferred me up the chain to someone higher (allegedly a supervisor) up who discovered that UPS never attempted a re-delivery. She stated this looked like a UPS problem and she would have a supervisor contact me after she bumped it up. Almost a week went by before I decided to contest the charges on my bank account. Long story short Omaha Steaks hid behind their policy of deliver guarantee only to the address provided. No mention of UPS not redelivering. In fact they sent a fax showing that the package was delivered but to Miami, and my son is in Tampa. It was enough for the bank to side with them. I read a huffingtonpost interview from 2012 with the owner of Omaha Steaks, Todd Simon, in which he stated "My dad was so responsive to customers, to the point that when someone said, “My freezer went out and I lost $800 worth of steaks,” he would send the steaks even if it wasn’t our fault. His theory was the word of mouth is going to be well worth the cost. We make those types of decisions all the time." Well Todd, what has happened to your customer service? My son is serving this country and your company, whom does millions of dollars of business with UPS, couldn't correct a UPS error. I will guarantee Omaha Steaks will never get a dime of my business nor will I ever stop letting people know of their horrible customer service.

False Advertising on commercials

"False advertising on the television commercials. Advertisement has a great deal for $59.99 directing you to their website and when trying to order, it's not there. When complaint emailed to Omaha Steaks, they replied back with apology to go back to the website and enter in their search box "Complete Collection". Still does not exist. When calling the 800 number, the sales rep will inform you of a $17 shipping charge then promptly upsell to $109.00 package with no shipping. I did not make an order nor will I with all the discrepancies, apologetic emails and no results.
Very disappointed.

Don't waist your money!

"Unfortunately, I gave these steaks as Christmas gifts before trying them myself. I was so embarrassed after we ate the filet mignons and and rib eyes that we bought. They were inferior to anything we buy in our local food store, in terms of tenderness, amount of gristle, and taste. My family obviously felt the same way because they didn't even thank us for the gift! Live and learn!"

"Why anyone would buy anything from this place is beyond me. The prices are outrageous when comparing the actual price versus the perpetual 'sale' price and purported quality. The sale price makes it look like you are getting a good deal. '75% off sale items'- really? Off of what, garbage that is marked up 400%. That is until you actually receive the product. The pictures of the items are not what you actually get, and the quality is beyond poor. My tenderloins were pictured as being at least 2" thick, and my burgers looked thick and hand formed from ground beef. What I got was a 1/2" tiny tenderloin full of fat, and the burger patties looked like smashed hockey pucks with 0 flavor. Both of which looked and tasted like they came from the back of a McDonald's freezer. Classic bait and switch. Other prepared foods are so salty that the actual flavor is lost. I will stick with ordering my meats directly from the farm as done before. This slop can't hold a lick to the grain fed farm raised beef I order yearly, and is sent directly from the butcher when ready. Only ordered from a gift card I received, l and will never waste my time here again."

Omaha Steaks - bait and switch

"Received an offer in the mail that did not match the website, so I called the 1-800 # and talked to a representative who assured me I would get the advertised mail offer. He actually put me on hold to verify the mail advertisement would be honored as I just rec'd the ad a few days earlier. When I got the email confirmation, sure enough I did not get the advertised offer. Omaha is good at trying to tell you of additional specials while they have you on the line and in fact - trying to convince callers of special offers they are instantly eligible for. What a bunch of BS. If you can't honor what you advertise, you've lost my business. The representative I talked to cancel the order said the special was no longer available. I said it hasn't even been a week since I received it - really? I could understood if I waited, but I didn't. I've cancelled the full order and will not be a returning customer. This is just plain dishonest and bad business."

Don't waste your money!

"Everything I've tried so far from my order has had an issue with it.
First order was wrong. Should've taken that as a sign. Replacement took 10 days.
The bratwurst is so salty I couldn't even eat it.
Steaks are very tough. It's terrible. They've got so much gristle in them that you end up throwing half the steak away.
The packaging is awful. Frozen meat comes with holes in the plastic packaging. How sanitary is that?
The BEST part? The bison tips I opened for dinner tonight had a long, human hair wrapped tightly around one of the pieces of meat. Absolutely unacceptable!
I will never order from here again.

bad advertising

"Nothing that I received as a gift looks like anything resembling the pictures you see on tv. Just look at the actual steaks or burgers. They don't come close to looking like they show on tv. Bad choice for a gift and will never buy for anyone....."

not looking a gift horse in the mouth

"I have been getting a gift package from well intention-ed parents for many year now. Each time the package arrives the contents changed and we are less impressed. There used to be some free gifts like a pepper grinder, or knifes. There used to be better sides too. It seems that Omaha Steaks cuts on the contents now. In fact the last order did not have the steak fries that were listed on the order form. I called the 800 number and was on hold for so long - multiple times over 5 minutes this past December. Could not even complain about the missing steak fries. Could not get through. Can not leave a message. I gave up and hung up. Also be advised that they advertise their burger to look like a home made chuck burger - all plumb and roundish. What you get is a fast food stamped beef patty. Taste is good - plenty of run-off. Would like tell them to make it special - not just tell me that someone thinks I'm special in the gift message. I just cant say stop sending me the packages......"

Where's the fish???

"I bought the scallop and crabmeat-stuffed sole. I wasn't impressed with this one at all. The fish was paper-thin and the stuffing was over-salted and there was no real indication of scallops or crab in the mix. I'll finish what I purchased, but won't buy it again."

Terrible- Christmas present missed

"Ordered from Omaha steaks, expecting quality product as I had heard great things. As a result, my Christmas present recipients stayed expecting as the order was never delivered. Order placed well in advance with their gift box option and all. Nothing. No notification of it getting lost or not on time. Called 3 days after Christmas only to be told that they can resend. This was a Christmas present with expectations that it would be delivered by Christmas. No effoty by customer service to try and make things right for holiday snafu. I will never order from these guys again. Asked for a refund."
