"Office Max sent the wrong chair on 5/4. They were notified on 5/5. The CSR wrote they sent the wrong color chair, but no... they sent the wrong chair. Pick up for the chair wasn't scheduled until 5/8, but with a 3 day window for the delivery service. As of 5/18 they still can't confirm that their delivery service picked up the chair or not. Customer Service doesn't have access to the delivery company. I can't get a refund until the chair is checked into the warehouse, even though by their own policy I should never have been charged since the item I purchased was not in stock. This is the worst customer service and this has been the most aggravating experience since their departments apparently do not communicate. When a company does something wrong, they should make an effort to correct the problem... this is not how OfficeMax operates. I will never do business with them again, nor can I recommend anyone else does. Based on what I've been told by their CSR, I doubt I'll receive a refund before the month is over. Holding onto a customer's money for a month, as a result of their error is terrible and avoidable. "
"Placed an order on 4/28 with Officemax.com, and our bank was debited the amount of the order, a couple of days later the charge was gone. On 5/1 they sent me an email that my order will ship from a different warehouse, if it takes longer than 7 days they will contact me. On 5/7 with no word from the company I called to cancel the order. The guy I talked to on the other end confirmed the order would be or was cancelled. Yesterday, 5/10 i received an email from their customer service rep that I needed to provide a different delivery number so the item could be delivered. I inidcated the order was cancelled. He replied it wasn't. So he said he would cancel that and refund us. Then this morning the bank was charged again. TWO people said over the last week our order was cancelled, but the manager this morning is inidcating it is NOT cancelled. On my way to the bank to dispute the charges! UGH!"
"Horrible. Ordered two desks which would be shipped via an unknown courier. Office Max CSRs contradicted each other, and basically lied and stated that three attempts to deliver were made. This was not true, as someone was home all week, and nobody delivered. Another of the Office Max CSRs looked up the deliveries and said that none had been attempted. When I questioned the CSR who stated delivery had been attempted, she told me that the other CSR had no way of knowing this. My point to her was, why would this CSR make up something like that? I feel that I have been lied to, and now another CSR has told me that my refund check will be mailed...oh, in about 7-10 days. I never asked for a refund, I still want my desks, which are sitting in a delivery warehouse waiting to be delivered as per another Office Max CSR. I hope I don't get the run-around for my refund check too. DO NOT USE OFFICE MAX TO BUY FURNITURE YOU WILL NEVER GET!
UPDATE 5/2: STILL NO REFUND! IM OUT $500! THANKS FOR NOTHING OFFICE MAX!"

"i was charge a 15% restocking fee on a defective product manager said once i broke the seal on box i automaticaly lost the restocking fee it didn t matter that the laptop was defective i go to walmart or target now"

"Terrible experience. I ordered some tape online from them. I got an email saying it was delayed and will be shipped from another warehose. A day later, the same message. Then the next day, a cancellation email saying it was a price mistake. Terrible service, no compensation for making us wait and canceling the order. The last time I had a staples order canceled, they gave me $5 credit per item they canceled for a total of $10. I will be taking my business elsewhere!"
"HORRIBLE STORE!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! I ordered a desk. They say they don't bill the credit card until it ships. They billed. They said it shipped. It was to be here in 1-3 days. Ha ha ha! I kept calling, and they put a trace on it finally, then 3 more days later said it was lost and my credit card would be credited. I went to the store and bought the same crappy desk. Then, today, another 5 days later, I have a "sorry, we missed you" delivery slip. Oh, and, I still don't have the credit, but they told me it was issued and that it was my credit card company's fault. Regardless, they forgot to isssue the credit for the extended warranty I bought on the product. Arghhh.... Every single step of this process has been hell!"
