"I was hesitant to place an order with NothingButSoftware.com based on the negative reviews. However, the price of the item I wanted was too good to pass up so I took encouragement from the positive reviews and placed my order. I couldn't be more pleased with both the ordering process, speed of delivery and quality of product. It's been a very positive process and I wouldn't hesitate to order from this company again. For your info, the item I purchased is a Sony HVL-F43M flash that typically sells for $398. The purchase price I paid was just $301.88 plus $6.95 for priority shipping. Standard shipping is free."

"I sent the following inquiry to NothingButSoftware.com about a device that was about six months old and had failed. I received no reply.

When I called Customer Service they were able to phone conference with me and the manufacturer to initiate the process of replacement.d I am hopeful that this will work out to my satisfaction.

For now I am impressed with customer service at NothingButSoftware.com.

"NothingButSoftware should rename their business to NothingInStock. They are purely a drop shipper. They take your money, then order the product directly from the manufacturer and drop ship it to your house. Amazon does this as well, but Amazon places the order within a maximum of 1 business day, and does not charge you until the item ships. NothingButSoftware takes their sweet time putting in the order and then provides ZERO tracking information for the order.

I placed an order on a Monday. The website said the order was 'picked up' on Tuesday. My understanding after a web chat with customer service was that this means the order had been placed with the manufacturer. I was told that they requested the manufacturer to provide tracking information once the item shipped. I waited, and waited, and received no information from the manufacturer.

I checked Amazon on Friday, and the manufacturer still had stock. I like to periodically check just to see since Amazon puts things on sale at any given moment.

So, here it is on Monday again, 5 business days later and I receive an e-mail from NothingButSoftware stating the manufacturer is out of stock, so they have refunded my money and cancelled the order. That is fine, except they would not have had to do this if they actually put the order in with the manufacturer in a reasonable amount of time since I had placed it, or when the customer service rep said it was placed. Then they hide behind their policy of 7-15 business days processing and shipping time to attempt to justify poor service. 7-15 days for shipping I understand, but processing should take no more than 1-2 business days!!!

And now Amazon says the manufacturer is out of stock as well, so I am stuck waiting again.

Stay far far away from the following websites which are owned by the parent company SpaceBound Inc:

We must do our part as consumers to force these companies to improve the customer experience by NOT BUYING FROM THEM! Maybe they will finally get the picture.

"Placed an order and several days later received a call saying that product that I had ordered had been discontinued.Yet,they let my order be processed .They stated that the replacement product that was available was half the price more. I consider this a bait and switch tactic. I will no longer use this site. They also would not even consider matching their original price.

"I ordered a 10 ft. Belkin Pro Series USB 2.0 Cable from them. Tried to connect a digital camera to computer. Nothing. Moved camera closer and tried two shorter cables that I already had. Success! Plugged in THEIR cable again and wiggled plug in camera end and the connection worked sporadically. Obviously a faulty cable. It came in a plain plastic shipping bag with a suspicious generic label (NO MANUFACTURER ID). Draw your own conclusions."

"I purchased my speakers on Nothing but Software.com. At the time of my purchase I wasn’t informed about items not being in the stock inventory. Back order was created. After 2.5 weeks items newer arrived.
I experienced very poor customer service. No follow up e-mail or phone call.
When I called them to cancel, they were extremely helpful.
I will spend my money somewhere else.

"i planned to change one of my item, to better one by returning and getting other model, with paying difference.
customer service said that they cant help, it passed 15 days.
15 days returning time is unbelievable. only shipping time can take couple days.
sorry but these guys dont know how to do business.

"If this were 1990 the service provided by nothingbutsoftware would be acceptable. Expect two day lag in communication. One week to get an overnight order (at overnight shipping rates). Restocking fees on everything. I ordered an overnight item on Tue. and still see it as "No shipments have been made yet for your order." Today is Friday. Back to amazon prime for this guy. Go back to 1990 NBS.com"

"I ordered an accessory for my Nintendo DSi XL from them. It arrived within ~1 week, was well packaged, and was a good price.

From me, at least, they have a 100% track record on 1 ~$20 item. That sort of credibility raises my confidence in them enough to order a $100+ item. I don't know if I'd randomly order something larger ($300+) without more data ($100 item, first), though.

"I recently purchased a headset cable from NothingbutSoftware. the price was one of the lowest. Shipping took longer (11 days total)than it would have if it was sent via UPS, but hey, it was free. I would purchase from them again. I contacted them by phone to inquire about the status of my order. The person I spoke to was polite and helpful."

"I bought a Samsung S24A650DW monitor from them. Very good price and very fast shipping. I had a couple of phone conversations with them too (because ship address didn't match bill address). No problems, and they were very courteous.
Was somewhat worried about vendor because of other ratings here but everything worked out great. Would order from them again.

Unfortunately, due to a problem with our site, the pricing for the items purchased are incorrect. Therefore, we have created a credit invoice to cancel out your order. You will see the original charge and then a credit for the same amount on your next billing statement."My original purchase price was $15.84 and the new price is $95.36.Of course I protested and told them I thought this was an attempt at bait and switch.I am still awaiting their reply."
