"Placed an order and several days later received a call saying that product that I had ordered had been discontinued.Yet,they let my order be processed .They stated that the replacement product that was available was half the price more. I consider this a bait and switch tactic. I will no longer use this site. They also would not even consider matching their original price. "

"I ordered a 10 ft. Belkin Pro Series USB 2.0 Cable from them. Tried to connect a digital camera to computer. Nothing. Moved camera closer and tried two shorter cables that I already had. Success! Plugged in THEIR cable again and wiggled plug in camera end and the connection worked sporadically. Obviously a faulty cable. It came in a plain plastic shipping bag with a suspicious generic label (NO MANUFACTURER ID). Draw your own conclusions."

After 2.5 weeks items newer arrived. I experienced very poor customer service. No follow up e-mail or phone call. "If this were 1990 the service provided by nothingbutsoftware would be acceptable. Expect two day lag in communication. One week to get an overnight order (at overnight shipping rates). Restocking fees on everything. I ordered an overnight item on Tue. and still see it as "No shipments have been made yet for your order." Today is Friday. Back to amazon prime for this guy. Go back to 1990 NBS.com"

That sort of credibility raises my confidence in them enough to order a $100+ item. I don't know if I'd randomly order something larger ($300+) without more data ($100 item, first), though."

"I purchased an inexpensive clock radio ($12.54)which has an "alarm set" that will not let you turn it off on weekends. The "Off" button does not work. In order to get a replacement I have to pay for shipping it back. I paid $6.95 to have it shipped to me. If I ship it back, I will have paid more for shipping than for the cost of the item, and they may not "accept" my complaint. "
"I found a pair of Andis dog clippers on this site at a very good price and originally placed the order prior to Christmas. I received the box damaged on Christmas eve and checked inside to see the clipper box damaged as well. Upon testing the clippers, I found the switch was bad/quirky. I contacted the Andis company who told me to contact nothingbutsoftware and soon received an RMA# to return the defective set. Unfortunately, at the time, they didn't have any more in stock, but soon got some in and the exchange was made. On this occasion, the box arrived in perfect condition and the new clippers worked fine. I originally had my doubts in getting the problem rectified, but customer service was truly outstanding. I received communication by phone and email and was promptly issued a partial credit for shipping the defective item back (since it was free shipping to me to begin with). I would not hesitate in doing business with this company again. Thank you."
"Very surprising find. Great (aggressive) pricing and a very deep selection of software. I had a damaged software title that the damage was hidden, not noticable at first glance. A couple weeks later (after a vacation) I got around to installing it and it didn't work. Customer service was very accommodating, especially since I had already cut off the Proof Of Purchase tab for a rebate. We found a solution that worked for all parties and they have earned a customer that will definately return! If they were to expand their product mix, they could give Newegg a run for my favorite. It will take a couple more trials before I am willing to say that Nothingbutsoftware is in that league, but they have jumped out to an impressive start!"
