I placed an order with notyourmamaswatches.com which is a sister store to Not Your Mama's Knives. I waited about a week after I placed my order for an update. When I did not receive the update, I attempted calling and emailing for another week or so. I never receive a response, they did not answer my emails nor did they answer their phone or respond to my voice mail messages. I never received my product and had to contact Google Checkout in order to get a refund which I finally got almost three weeks later.

Ordered knife Saturday Oct 17th and received confirmation email on Sunday. Waited for a while but never received a tracking number. I emailed on Friday the 23rd and did not get a reply until Monday. They gave me the tracking number and it said that the knife was just shipped on Friday!! One week after I ordered..Come on. When the knife finally arrived it wasn't even the one I had ordered! Very disappointed with this site. Decent pricing, but I think I'd rather pay a few extra bucks and not deal with this crap.

Ordered a knife on November 5th with second day shipping. On the 9th I had not yet received a shipping notification, so I inquired by email as to my order's status and did not receive a reply. On the 10th I received my knife, meaning it would have shipped either the day I placed the order, or the day after. However my inquiry was never answered, and I never received tracking information for my order.
After receiving the order, I made an inquiry about my item via the form on the web site (on the 10th). I have not received a reply yet.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and the speed with which it shipped, but the lack of reply to either of my inquiries makes me unlikely to order again, as I'm sure if something went wrong with my order, I would not be able to contact the company.

I placed an order for a knife on 9 October 09. I have patiently waited for 11 days with no change in status until I emailed them asking for an update. I am in Iraq which is an APO address. APO shipments take on average 7 days to get here. All merchants that I have ordered from have gotten stuff here in that time. This company has a very poor policy on APO shipping. They have to send the product to the main office to fill out customs paperwork and they say this can take up to a week! This is bad customer service especially for those who serve this country! Filling out customs paperwork is nothing more than writing the address the I have provided on the form and declaring what is being shipped. How difficult is that? It is now going on day 12 and my knife that I paid 250$ for is going to take a week to get customs paperwork filled out and then another week for it to actually get here. And the free shipping is lost with APO as well. At this rate I should have my new knife by Thanksgiving.
**UPDATE**
I received my knife on 2 Nov after being in contact with the company. They admitted that there was a mishap in dealing with my order and made every effort to correct the situation. They also refunded the shipping cost. After all is said and done I will buy from this company again. I did not get the one I ordered however I think I like the one I got better. This is a great knife and I will be ordering more from this company. Thanks

Pretty immediate shipping, decent pricing, product is exactly as described. Would shop here again, but I'd recommend expediting shipping as ground tends to tie your order up for several days.

Fantastic website, great products, incredible service !!!!!!
I have just placed another order and have never received such excellent customer service! A totally trustworthy website with topnotch products. Why shop anywhere else-- because all the others are just "Not Your Mama's KNIVES !".

This is a fantastic company to do business with. On Tues., April 14th, I sent them a question regarding one of their items. Within six minutes (!), they e-mailed me the answer. Late in the afternoon, I placed my order, stipulating regular UPS ground service (free with orders over $125). The parcel arrived by 4:30 Thurs. afternoon. I have no idea if that is "business as usual" for them; but, a week or so before, I placed an order on a Sat. and received it on Tues. Not Your Mama's is a first-rate, professional operation. The orders are received exactly as described, and also, if an item is not in stock, it can't be ordered, but they will notify the customer when it comes back into stock. There is none of the uncertainty and seemingly endless waiting involved with backorders. Good job all the way around; I'll be back.

Excellent customer service. Do I really need to say more? I ordered my knife, it shipped the next day, and three days later, I had my knife in my hands at 50% of the cost as compared to the local gun store. Needless to say, the short wait was worth the money. The staff at Not Your Mama's Knives is extremely knowledgeable in blades as well as guiding you in the right direction of what kind of knife to buy; that is if you don't already have your mind made up. If I buy anymore knives, I know where I'm getting them from.

Placed an order on 1/31/08. Order was slow due to holidays but company put the wrong address on the shipping label which forced UPS to contact the company for the correct address. This delayed delivery another two days. When order arrived the knife wasn't what I ordered. The SKU number on the box was correct but the knife inside was different. I have e-mailed the company twice and called them three times. I have left electronic and voice messages (they won't answer the phone personally) explaining the problem and requesting a call back in an effort to resolve this discrepancy, but so far I have received no response.
The company's response is inaccurate. First the she they refer to is a he, and I never changed my address. They put a non existent address on the shipping label. They got it wrong, not me. Additionally, they have yet to contact me to resolve this matter. They admit it's their fault, but they aren't doing anything to fix it. This review was modified by its author, us90t26, on

Its true, this order was handled very poorly. It was right during the Christmas Rush and the address she was having us ship to changed twice which caused additional delay. All in all it was lost in the mix and it is our fault. We do our best but we are not always able to solve all problems in as timely a manner as we would like. Especially during a Christmas Rush. We apologize again. |

There was a bit of delay over the holidays, but the company was quick to respond to my query. I received the order a couple of days later. For future reference, a UPS tracking number or an email from UPS would have alleviated any concerns. Overall, I was please to received the order in excellent condition due to good packaging. This company will get more business from me.
