Norman Camera is absolutely Fantastic!!! I ordered a Canon HFS100 HD camcorder on Dec 14 '09. Within hours I received an email invoice with shipping #. The camera arrived 4 days later safely packaged and perfectly intact - standard, free shipping. Not mark on the box! Norman Camera folks are real professionals and based in Kalamazoo, MI (not jokers from NYC). I've purchased camera equipment over the web several times and each time the experience was painful-attempted bait and switch, messed up orders, no longer in stock - I'm sure you've read similar stories before. If you want awesome professional service and a good price - buy from Norman Camera.

Wow!! Great Service and Price. I ordered a Pentax Optio W80 on Saturday and received it on Wendesday. I grew up in the retail camera industry, it is great to deal with a family owned business.

I am a wedding photographer, and I have been buying cameras and camera equipment from Norman Camera for about 5 years. My experience with Norman Camera has always been excellent. In most cases when I ordered an in stock item before 4pm, I received the product the very next day. On only one occasion did it take two days to receive it. That is much better and faster service than I am often able to receive from local camera stores where I live. The sales persons I have dealt with have always been helpful and courteous, and have made sure that my orders were handled the same day of my order. What more could I ask for from a camera store?

I sent an email explaining complain and dissatisfaction.  
No response in 4 business days!  
Sent other email adding “Attention of the Store Manager” in the subject line.  
 
The response comes denying used item condition, without apology, but offering to return an item.  
But at this time this item is already out of stock, and I started my vacation trip and need to keep taking pictures.  
They put me in this situation when I can not return an item for exchange.  
 
Will never shop with them.  
 
Revising:  
Norman Camera replay is misleading.  
I received camera on 7.22. On 7.26 sent an email notifying that camera is used.  
After no replay in 4 days, on 7.31 I sent another email to store manager. At that time I went to vacation already.  
Camera accessories are packed not in original factory plastic bags, have other wear signs.

Great store! They had a lens in stock that no other online store had. The shipping was fast and everything was well packaged. I would definitely shop with here again.

These guys are great. I decided to buy a Nikon D90 and I was worried about buying one online. But these guys had a great price and they shipped it super fast and it was very well-packed. I would highly recommend them.

One of the best experiences I've ever had... I like the idea of dealing with a family owned business and Norman Camera passed with flying colors.. My order was processed quickly and shipping was fast as two days is... I called them with a question or two and they were very polite and courteous...

Wow!!! Norman Camera is a superior camera supplier. I was looking for a Canon 5D Mark II and everywhere I looked, vedors were out of inventory. Norman Camera had one in stock. I ordered and it arrived promptly. There was no upsell, no added accessories, no after the sale phone calls to "verify" the order...just plain old-fashioned fantastic customer service. They did exactly what they said they would do. Norman has now become one of my favorite dealers. I highly recommend this dealer for their honesty.

I have been looking for a particular lens for about 4 months (Tokina 11-16/2.8 Nikon mount). In the past couple months, I found & ordered the lens from two other websites that reported it as "in stock" - but after my order went through I found out the lens wasn't in stock. Yesterday I came across Norman Camera - they showed the lens in stock and I decided to try one more time.  
 
I placed my order on 2/2/09 at ~10am. The order was processed and queued to Fed Ex within 3 hours.  
 
Norman's price on this lens was ~$40 higher than B&H and Adorama (where the lens has been out of stock since I started looking for it) *but* it was also $60 cheaper than Amazon (who currently has the lens "in stock").  
 
In summary, my opinion of Norman Camera is:  
"Small-town" brick & mortar camera shop with a "big city" inventory, fully-functional website and fairly competitive prices.  
 
I would buy from them again (and plan to do so soon).

Absolutely perfect in their dealings with me. Fantastic communication, super clear communication, no bait and switch, no pressure sales. I bought from them specifically to avoid the sleezy NY firms and I recommend them to everyone.

I ordered a Sigma 17-70 K-mount lens from Norman Camera since they had one of the more competitive prices on said lens. Their website at time of purchase was not the most inspiring of confidence, but I went with them regardless since they had a high reseller rating on this site. I was completely satisfied as they shipped the product promptly, keeping me informed through email of the progress.  
 
I would certainly purchase from them again, despite their being a smaller etailer.
