"Ordered a car that turned out to be broken (Troubleshooting Ticket ID: OLD-315-57914). I initially paid $25 shipping and over $27 to ship back. I asked for reimbursement for shipping they only reimbursed the cost of the product. So unless you want to spend over $50 hoping you get a good product.. STAY AWAY. OBVIOUSLY if they stood behind their products, they would have reimbursed me the cost of shipping...

Purchased a car (can't remember which one) for my son to Christmas. Man was he happy, we went out side, motor was spinning, but no movement. OK, may be 1 out of 1000 has this problem. Send it back and picked another one. The Mad Gear Racing Desert arrived. Again happiness in my sons eyes when it arrived. Unwrapped and went thru the binding process, well I guess I can not read. I did not get it to work.
Contact NitroRCX by phone (waited every time 20-30min. waiting, I know now why), they are telling me there is something wrong with the receiver and they send a new one.
I went thru the binding process again, worked this time. He drove it until the battery died.
"No problem son, lets recharge and continue the fun."
It was a one time event. Try to recharge, but was not working. Frustrated on the phone again. This time they send me another Transmitter and controller. Installed - nothing. At this time I was multiple times on the phone with them. Claimed Live Online services does not work. In April I send everything back with the request set it up so it runs. (I had to pay for shipping).
Received the car last week. We turned the car on, and it was moving forward without doing anything, but it was driving forward, not backward. They did not send me the charging cable back another wait and did not adjusted it right.
This "company is so unprofessional and incompetent to run their organization. And I guess the reason you wit so long on the phone is because they getting a lot of calls. They don't deserve a star at all.

"WE ALSO STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! We purchased a $300 car and accessories. We used it one day and it started to fall apart!! It failed to charge and then the computer board went out. We sent it back after a representatives approval and waiting on hold for 53 minutes!! We were also told they would fix or replace it, however, once they received it they said the return was not authorized, they didn't want to fix it and only offered a refund of the purchase price for a faulty product!!! They do not want to work with the customer or care about keeping them. Great "take your money and run" policy!! "

"DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY / WEBSITE. Here's why... I purchased the Mastadon 1:18th scale 4WD brushless truck. As soon as I removed it from the box, I was shocked to see that it was much more in the range of a 1:20th scale. This truck is VERY tiny. After three runs the rear diff broke. Luckily I had a spare I salvaged from a different model/brand that fit. No problems right? Wrong.... after just 11 runs, the truck became erratic in response and burst into flames, producing a surprisingly large amount of heat and extremely toxic smoke. I was left with a lump of stinking toxic plastic and a cheap transmitter.

I contacted nitrorcx.com via their "ticket system" which is apparently operated by another company who also handles customer issues for other RC sellers.

Initially I was offered an exchange or refund *after* I responded to a few questions. I replied and was sent another set of the same questions not twice but three times. I responded to all three replies only to get a response that the warranty had expired and there was no further action to be taken even though, all three people (yes each response was from someone different) had clearly seen the purchase date of 11/23/2014 shown on the order information. Obviously this would be checked first thing. So initially it either wasn't an issue or they simply had no intention of offering me an exchange (which I opted for) or a refund.

They do not answer the phones and the "Live Online Customer Service Chat box" is always OFF line.

I submitted my information to my bank who will initiate a chargeback to due the fact that the product description ( Top Quality - Hobby-Grade, 1:18th Scale) is misleading and false advertising.

If you've recently purchased a product from this company that has fell short of THEIR written description, I would recommend contacting your bank to initiate a chargeback and also file a complaint as I just did, with the BBB.

Again, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY... you will be among the other several hundred unhappy, scammed customers.

"Where do I start... The only good thing I have to say about this site is the price for the RC cars/trucks. I have purchased two 1/8th scale 4x4 buggies and three 1/8th scale 4x4 short-course trucks. My first purchase, I was overjoyed with the quality of the car, I hadn't had any reason to contact customer support. I drove the car in the snow, hit an ice patch and it self destructed at 50mph into the mailbox. The 2nd buggy lasted a little longer (now spring and summer time). It was time to order replacement parts. They took my money and gave a shipping date. 1.5 months passed by and i still had no parts. That's when I started looking at the short course trucks, figuring the different construction would hold up longer. First SC Truck showed up and the ESC was bad, so at my expense, they shipped it back and swapped it with #2. #2 was supposed to be another 2.4 GHz remote, but they shipped a 27 MHz. Already this is not okay. Adding salt to the wounds, they hooked up the brushless motor wires backwards, so the forward trigger was scaled down at a slower speed, but reverse was at full power! Imagine a car going backwards at 35mph then trying to steer. After crapping my pants (and not destroying the car), I had the car shipped back (this time at their expense) for the proper car. The cars are reasonably priced, but the lack of respectable service is almost worth spending more at other more reputable dealers. It pains me deeply to say "they still have the lower price" and that is probably why they're still in business. It's hard to pass up a good deal."

"After reading all the reviews in think that a lot of people expected a four or five hundred dollar rc from them for half price you get what you pay for.These are low end rc's looking like hi-end. There parts such as esc and there awesome transmitters are really good for price. And shipping is normal and I order a lot on line rc parts and there all the same. Want quality buy an axial or rc4wd and see price difference. JUST SAYING ..."

"DO NOT BUY!!!!! Right out of the box we had problems with my son's Tacon. They do not stand behind their product at all. Once they have your money, they don't care. It was my son's BIG Christmas present, all he could talk about for two months. What a disappointment. Wish I had known that they sell overpriced crap. Not sure how they stay in business."

"Don't believe NitroRCX's product reviews on their site. It seems that reviews which highlight flaws in their products don't get posted. I purchased an Iron Track buggy, had many problems keeping it running due to poor design and poor quality of parts, and tried to post a review to let people know of my issues, but NitroRCX did not post my comments. Big surprise! Also, their charges for shipping are outrageous. I think they make more on the shipping charges than they do on the product."

"Their phone doesn't work (goes to Memphis employment service). Online support email is automated, they don't even read it. Product was cheap and not worth the money so taking a 15% hit on return plus heavy shipping costs. Had high hopes for these guys but they really don't have their act together. Too bad."

"I purchased a truck that has never run. It was DOA. The ESC is bad. Forget ever getting service, they never answer the phone or emails. I am out $391.00. Don't buy from this site.
If they would only send the part I could fix it myself.

"Exceed-RC.com, Nitro-RCX.com, hobbypartz.com. ALL THE SAME COMPANY! DO NOT BUY, RETURN FOR REFUND ASAP! If you bought one of their products like I did and enjoyed it (until it broke), you will see a different side to this company. Consider spending $170 bucks, drive the RC for 2 hours, break a steering hub and let it sit for 6 months waiting for parts… that will never come. They will make you wait months, not give you accurate information, essentially you will never get the key parts to make your RC run again, they will give you lame excuses (such as held up in customs) or just close your orders. If you have not submitted a BBB complaint for your product, please do so and do so against all three of these companies, they essentially sell you a pricy...RC made of plastic parts that breaks very easily, they make it look like they have lots a parts available… but they don’t. "I purchased 2 racing trucks from NitroRCX.com. Total cost was $430.42.
On their website, photos show the trucks on dirt race tracks, and doing tricks and stunts. Once I received the trucks, I was surprised at how cheaply designed they were. The plastic 'truck' top was very thin, less durable than a cheap plastic tablecloth. The 'bumpers' were just a regular part of the cheap plastic, and protected nothing. The truck top was held in place by tiny clips that would fall off the vehicle as soon as it began running. After finding the clips, the clips would bend or snap into - making it impossible to use them. A paperclip was more effective.
After charging the batteries for seven hours, the trucks would run approximately ten minutes on concrete, less on grass. One of the trucks had a wheel that appeared to be almost falling off, every time it was used. I did contact the company about this - which took days, because they do not answer their telephones promptly, and I had to go through a "ticket" on a website. The company had no suggestions as to how to fix the wheel. Feeling this particular truck was useless, I decided to return it. In fact, I returned both trucks simply because I was disgusted with paying a high price for useless junk, and I was disgusted with the lack of knowledge, professionalism, and customer support from NitroRCX.
The trucks were not fast as advertised, nor were they able to do stunts, jumps, or quick turns that were advertised. They were a joke.
It costs me $88.51 to return the items to the company, the cheapest shipping possible. It was delivered to them on the morning of June 4, 2013. To my surprise, on June 25, 2013, I actually did get an email stating that I would get a refund in 5 - 10 days. Currently, I am watching my credit card for that refund - which is expected to be $333.20 - because the company does not reimburse their customers for shipping charges AND they charge a 15% restocking fee. ALSO, you only have thirty days to return items to them for refunds, and they have all kinds of reasons not to reimburse customers. (Of course, these items would never lasts 3o days...)
So...I wasted $185.73 and a lot of time and frustration on NitroRCX.com. I would never use this business or any of its affiliates again, and I highly suggest no one else patronize their businesses. In fact, you get better quality in the toy section at Wal-Mart or Target - and much better customer service.

"I ordered the Shark 600 ep Rc boat and got a smaller motor than advertised and a Cheap solid stinger drive not the adjustable one advertised. Then told by the owner to post it back to usa from Australia at my expence bofore he would send the one i paid for. They wont answer thier phone and have several business names.Raiden tech this is the owners family name.Nitro plane.com Wonder hobby.com Grand hobby.com Z hobby.com Egrand hobby.com. They wont answer my e mails. This company has defrauded me and i have reported them to the Australian1 Investments and Securitys Commision to try and have them shut down from trading. Do not use these people."

"I ordered a Iron Track 1/10 truggy from these guys and had no issues with the delivery time or the product. I ordered this as a gift for my wife and she did not care for the look or style of the vehicle, she did however like the Iron Track Bowie truck at the same price. I was simply looking for an answer to see if I could return this one unused and get the other model instead. I sent an e-mail request to them through their online system with no response. I then attempted to call for about 4 days to the sound of busy signals. 5-6 attempts per day at different times of day.

I understood that I would have to pay for shipping per their policy (Which should have been enough of a flag), but did not think I should have to pay the restocking fee since this one was unused and never left the box. I finally got a human being on the phone ( I use that term generously) and he very rudly informed me that it was not his problem that I changed my mind and that I WOULD pay the restocking fee and return shipping. I asked him if they got much repeat business because I surely would not be giving him any more of my money.

BEWARE.....CUSTOMER DIS-SERVICE! I'm sure there are companies out there that will not only take your money, but treat you with a little respect!

UPDATE: 2-16-13
Never have returned a response to my e-mail or call. I do however get daily spam e-mail from them advertising sales and products....LOL.
