this basically sums it up for nexthardwareshop, does anybody know the name of the owners? I already filed a complaint with agencies listed below and not a word. Here is some of the communication with Yahoo Store regarding nexthardwareshop.com

They have not replied as of yet. I am not sure if I can deal with my credit card company on this issue because I sent the CDRW back to  
Nexthardwareshop for warranty replacement. I am wondering if the company even exists anymore. do you have their address? I know they are in Walnut Ca. and thats not that far from here.

I received the Asus A7M266 motherboard I purchased an from Nexthardwareshop.com just fine, but within a couple of months it failed. I have tried calling (8 times), e-mailing (4 times), and requesting an RMA and have either gotten complete silence or been told to call back during certain hours the next day. (Always resulting in a voice-mailbox.) Now I see their URL is decomissioned.  
 
I buy thousands of dollars worth of "stuff" annually, and though I have had a purchase or two not work out completely satisfactorily, this is the only company that has completely stiffed me.

I ordered and received two sticks of Micron memory. They worked fine for over a year and then failed. I called the company only that their phone has been disconnected. The online site indicates that they no longer deal with customers over the telephone. So I e-mailed them on 7/29/03 and again on 8/11/03 regarding this issue. I have still to hear a word from them. By the way, Micron told me that I had to go through the reseller to fix this problem. I will NEVER deal with this company again!

I found them as a yahoo store I believe but they are the crappiest company I ever dealt with. I ordered 3 parts for $100. They charged my account very quickly. They auto-sent me an email with contact info and a link to an order tracking page that wouldn't recognize my order number. Website says they are upgrading phone system so email instead. Emailed contact in their order email to me. Invalid email. Emailed to all email contacts on their page, only 1 went through but never got a response. Called them, some automated answering services for a company with a different name. Left message, never got reply. Used other phone numbers - they weren't in service. By that time (week after order) I had no clue that this actually was a real company and thought I had been completely scammed. Continued calling, finally someone picked up and talked to dude a couple times, discovered correct (different) tracking page on their site. It had shipped the day before by Fedex instead of the UPS that I paid for. I had already bought comparable parts from Best Buy and new computer was finished. Package didn't ship after 3 weeks. Called them again, both agreed that I'd refuse package and Fedex would send it back no charge and they'd refund my money. Finally received package and I refused it. I wait a long time and they don't refund my money. I dispute it with Citibank - Citibank puts $100 back in my account. Sent Citibank all contact info, all correspondence, and long letter per their request. Citibank says dispute resolved a month later, keep my $100. I hope Citibank ripped them a new one. They are now no longer a Yahoo store.

ok well, feb 4th we ordered a motherboard, ram, case, cpu, and a harddrive from them, about a month later the ram, cpu, and harddrive arrive, i testes the ram and cpu in a motherboard i had for some reason, and both the ram and cpu were dead, the harddrive was already formatted and had the remnants of someone else's programs, the case arrived 2 weeks later, and it wasnt even the case i ordered, and also, the case was cracked on the front left side, i inspected the box for any damage, but there wasnt any, so it was probally cracked BEFORE they shipped it, after all this i tried for almost a month to get in contact with someone, no luck, bounced emails, no phone calls, i found out they were a member of the BBB, so i sent in an email complaint to them, and that was the last i heard from the BBB, note, dont buy from this company, they = screw you

I ordered an AMD computer on Apr 1. The web site promised 2-3 day shipment. It took a month to ship, following numerous E-mails and phone calls. The web site never reflected the shipped status, nor a tracking number. When the computer finally arrived, I discovered the audigy sound card I had paid extra for was missing (no sound card at all). More phone calls and on two occasions I was told they would send one out. They never have, nor have I received a credit. During this two months, they actually responded to one of about twenty E-mails, and answered their telephone four times out of about 50 attempts. Their e-mail address has changed four times, and so has their telephone number -- and now it is disconnected. They have removed contact information from their web site, which is still operational.

OK, I had been watching the price of Altec Lansing AVS500 4.1 speakers at nexthardwareshop.com and then one day I go to the site to find it completely redesigned AND the speakers have dropped to $20 AND there is suddenly FREE ground shipping (instead of the usual $12-13 minimum shipping cost)! What a great deal! So I order it. But when I login to see my order I also see another persons order they made 6 months ago. SECURITY FLAW! I emailed them several times to tell them, but it looks like they don't reply to emails. And I was never sure they shipped my order till I got it. I just looked at the site again and they are now charging $95 for the same AVS500's... guess I got lucky. Bad, bad site. I do not recommend them.

I recently purchased a 750MB ZIP Drive from Next Hardware Shop sometime in March I'm not exactly sure of the day. Here it is 2 May and I still haven't received the order. The money has been taken from my checking account, but no ZIP Drive. I try to track the order using the provided order tracking system on the webpage, but it keeps telling me that my order is being processed and to allow so many business days for processing. I've tried to call the company and just get the run abound from the computer answering machine. I'm still trying to make contact with them by phone. I've tried 4 times emailing them at sales@nexthardware.com and all I've ever received is an auto responder reply saying that someone will contact me. Never happens. If this is how this company is going to conduct it's business I do not recommend that you purchase from Next Hardware Shop.com.

This is a criminal company. What you must understand is if a company keeps your money while refusing to respond to requests for order cancellation, RMA number, exchange, refund or anything at all, then they might as well have taken your money at the point of a gun. Real scummy, slimy people. I will ask my credit card company to reverse charges. Then we'll see if they want to communicate with me.

This company will rip you off. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I bought a dvd-r drive sometime on early March and i received a defective drive.  
E-mailed them for the RMA number, and they never reply. Finaly after persistent calling to the company i finally got a real person, and i asked for the RMA, then i shipped back the drive a day later. it's been three weeks and no refund. they never reply to my emails and phone calls. This company should be shut down for stealing money from customers.

Ordered a 512 meg stick of PC133 ram, was billed for a 128 meg stick of PC133 ram at the same price. received a 128 meg stick of PC2100 ram. Tried to straigten this out from the day I received a hosed up order confirmation. Got no reply to my emails. These guys are hosed beyond belief

I might as well add to the litany of dissatisfied users of this messed up company. My story is the same as the rest. Ordered almost 2 weeks ago, got an e-mail promising shipping in "24-48" hours and now my order is supposedly backordered for 2-3 more days. After reading the comments from the other customers (victims), I called immediately and finally got through to a man after trying for a few hours. I have supposedly cancelled my order now, but we will see. If you end up posting here PLEASE contact Yahoo! as I will be to get these losers out of Yahoo! and hopefully out of business. My condolences to the other buyers!

This company is absolutely ludicrous. The products are okay, mostly stuff that has been taken off the market by other sellers. The prices are also decent, but that hardly makes up for the terrible service.  
 
They charge before they ship, which I'm pretty sure isn't legal. If it is, then it's really annoying, because now you've paid for something they might never send you, which is apparently what happened to my modem.  
 
Also, they charge INSANE amounts for shipping, I think to make up for profit loss since their ticket prices are so low. I paid $12 (out of desperation) to ship a modem. A little tiny modem which couldn't weigh more than a few ounces. I know very well you can ship that UPS ground (which is what I asked for) for under five dollars. Also, after I paid for UPS ground they proceeded to ship it FedEx, a more expensive and IMHO a less reliable company.  
 
Speaking of shipping, I was informed my order would be processed within 2-3 business days. Not so much. Try TWO WEEKS. And after numerous emails and calls (none of which they responded to), they finally ship and don't bother to notify me or give me a tracking number. Let's just hope the silly thing WORKS after I get it. I'm having my doubts right about now. =(

Nexthardwareshoptogounder... hopefully. Order the 28th (Fri), charge clears bank on 31st (Mon) no package, no real response to email, they didn't answer their phone, canceled tonight the 8th. I would have waited MUCH longer if they hadn't charged my account before they shipped. I'll ALWAYS check here before I buy from now on.
