"Ordered a RunCore SSD. Initial delivery took about two-months. After three or four months use, the drive failed. It then took two-months to get a replacement. I entered a review of the drive (because it failed) that was blocked from showing on the site. I spoke to an employee who told me he was a manager, he was not. I never received confirmation of my return. I never received notice of my RMA status. I kept calling and getting further delays. Ridiculous! Avoid buying out of stock merchandise. RunCore is always out of stock!"

"I called this company to ensure they had a $2,000 part in stock and they said they did. I placed my order 20 minutes later and then 2 days later they cancel my order saying that the part is a discontinued item that was no longer available. They could have been more forthcoming about the product availability in the first place and could have saved me from wasting time."

"SCAM, this dealer is only a scam. My wife buy many item but one microdrive don't work (i buy and pay for Transcend but Mydigitaldiscount.com send me a MAGICSTORE). Microdrive don't work and i return it but Mydigitaldiscount.com don't reply my email and not send me a new item (Matt Dawson, chief executive of Mydigitaldiscount.com promise me the substitution but don't send anything). I have many email from MATT DAWSON but no the microdrive :-( I am very dissatisfied. Beware this dealer.

UPDATED NEWS: Matt Dawson contacted asking us copy of our delivery confirmation, which we already sent him last May. Although we sent him another copy a second time, he replied that the firm address was not correct (?). We suppose that this could be due to the low resolution of the copy. Immediately we sent him an high resolution copy of the delivery confirmation with the person's signature who got the parcel back. I am still waiting for an answer and this operation took me 8 months only for a purchase :-((( A NEVERENDING STORY ?

UPDATE 01.07.2005:

12.21.2004 MATT DAWSON send me this email: "Sorry about that We just moved and this is the 1st time I have been able to
check my mail. Ok thank you I see that we did get it and Jim Boyce signed

"Very Impressive. Very fast turnaround. Ordered Friday night and it was shipped Monday morning - arriving two days later. I ordered the same product from a competiter and it took them 6 days to ship."

"They don't stock items they list for sale. Looks like they do the good old trick of gathering a lot of orders and then purchasing from their supplier in bulk while the customers wait for weeks. I will wait 1 more week (3 weeks total) and if my item is not shipped I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. Stay away from this vendor.
Update: after 3 weeks, they shipped the runcore 16GB (I had to call them to re-remind them)the item arrived and it was missing the micro-usb cables. Furthermore, the item is defective! You've been warned, you will regret it if you order from them. Look elseware."

"I have satisfactorily ordered goods from MyDigitalDiscount several times. Living in Hawaii can be a real pain when it comes to service & shipping. However, MyDigitalDiscount has always come through with excellent service & prices on digital camera equipment.

I am the photo editor of a national news network organization so vendor reliability & no hassle service is very important. I don't have time to be searching for the "best" prices advertised by other vendors & have been consistently satisfied with doing business with My DigitalDiscount.

"I made 2 purchases from this website on Dec 12, 2005. They billed me and everything seemed to be going normally.

4 weeks later I still haven't received my packages. I contacted the company by email 2-3 days ago and have still not received a reply. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was taking awhile to ship because of the holiday season. Stupid me. I've called both the phone numbers they supplied just a few minutes ago (twice), when they should be open for business, and never got an answer.

I'm extremely irritated with the lack of support from this company and feel they've practically just stolen my money.

From my experience, I can tell you right now: Holiday season or not, this company has certainly lost a future customer, is obviously underprepared, and does business poorly. Almost makes me wonder how it got so many good reviews.

You'd think 1 customer bugging such a big retailer is bound to get through to someone eventually. But no. I could go on and on ranting about this seemingly non-existant retailer, but I guess I'll stop."

“Dear Sir, I am very sorry you had this experience. I have found out what happened to your order. It seems that the AA batteries were not in stock and we were unaware of this so we put your order through the system. Because it could not ship I believe your order fell through the preverbal cracks. I was informed by one of my employees that you contacted him via email on the 4th and he shipped your order out on the 4th. Again I am extremely sorry and assure you this will not happen again. I hope you will give us another chance in the future.

"I bought a SanDisk 1GB Ultra Compact Flash on 12/5 from Mydigitaldiscount. It was shipped promptly out. The card was a dud. I received a RMA number 858. Which I sent back to the address (185 East Seneca Street Oswego, NY 13126) on the RMA notice . This was on the 12/13. I sent the defective flash back via regular mail. Mydig is claiming they have not received this yet. Prior to or about the same time I ordered they moved their business to a different location.I was told that the mail perhaps was not forwarded correctly to their new address. Right now I'm out $100 dollars with nothing to show. This all could be just foul up in the mail but its not been a good experience; bad card; missing return item;

When this is rectified I will update this rating but until then I have to give this store poor mark.

Update: 1/6/05
MyDig has given me a credit and is resending out a new card. For that they now can be bumped up in rating from my earlier comments.

Update: 1/21/05.
I didn't receive the replacement card. I contacted MDD and they said the Ultra II was backordered and wanted to know if I wanted to cancel the order. I said "yes" and please credit my CC back the original amount on the purchase for 12/6. They have yet to do it! What a long weird hassle it has been with this company. I have done business with them in the past but I doubt I would in the future. I will give them until Monday to see the credit on my CC.

This has been resolved and MDD has credited my card back the original charge.

"This was my first purchase from this store. I purchased a C201A USB 2.0 Compact Flash memory card reader for $3.98. I orderd it on Sunday 4/24/05, it was shipped to California on 4/25/05 and arrived on 4/28/05 using USPS ground. The device works like a charm and reads all of my memory cards whereas the more expensive eFilm USB 2.0 reader I already had was not able to read one particular Lexar 1GB card. The reader came with a mini CD containing a variety of drivers but with no explanation whatsoever, however a driver is not required with Win'XP. I did find that the reader would only work when plugged directly into the USB port but not when the cable was used - not a problem. Overall my experience was excellent in all respects."
