"I ordered an acoustic guitar case from Music123 via Amazon. The product arrived amazingly fast, well packaged and in excellent condition."
"I've purchased about five items from Music123 in the last year or so. Every order came fast to my door and in perfect order. The last item purchased was the Rogue violin bass. I was a little concerned about this order, but it came in three days in perfect condition. Who ever packed it did a great job! I've never had to call their customer service so on this I have no opinion."
"Worst customer service. Ordered cheap guitar, never received. Refused replacement or refund. Customer service lied and said package received."
"I want to say a good thing for Music123. I bought a Fender 2012 American Standard Precision Bass V and it was sold as "Used" because it was a return without the original box and they could not charge full new price. Not a second, if you were wondering. Just a box? No big deal with me, I was going to play the bass, not the box anyway. So, it comes well padded in their own box with all hang tags and strap and cord, all the stuff was there. The bass is great, but that is not the purpose of this review. They described it very well, shipped very quickly and lost money because of a technicality I would have missed. So, very happy with them. I have bought thousands of dollars of gear in the last five years but this was the best deal of all. "
"BUYER BEWARE! I don't recommend you spend your money with Music123. I'm sharing my experience to warn unsuspecting consumers of the kind of business Music123 is running. I purchased a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro sold by Music on BUY.COM. The first time I purchased it my order was cancelled without explanation. The site said to contact the seller so I called Music123. After some time on hold they had no explanation and said I had to call buy.com and ask them. When I called buy.com they said the seller cancelled it. I re-purchased the item with another method of payment. The price had gone up $5 but was still good so i didn't complain. Everything looked okay and there was shipment tracking information, etc. But, when the item arrived it was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT piece of gear, a much less expensive item.Naturally I emailed and called and tried to straighten it out. Long story short: They will accept a return on the incorrect item, but THEY WILL NOT SHIP THE ITEM I PURCHASED! In fact, they changed BUY.COM to say it is out of stock.Folks, this is good old fashioned bait-and-switch just like the sleazy used car dealers used to do. I don't support businesses with shady business practices, and I would hope you do likewise. "
"I've recently noticed Music123 is using false and misleading advertising to tempt shoppers to buy from them. They claim to have a price guarantee and display a price comparison box on their site for this purpose. What I've noticed is that the prices they compare to are always more expensive or equal to their price. In addition they compare non similar products and claim they are cheaper. This is misleading and is bad practice.I wrote to them about this but never heard back. It just comes to show what desperate measures some retailers will make to make a sale. Lie!!!!!!I would think twice before purchasing anything from music123.com.John"
"placed an order for 523$, they have cancelled, because my information do not match up, when i checked i had everything right, i called them again, they said sorry and gave me another order #, i waited 2 more days, nothing again, called them talked with 3 people, no resultsso bad customer service, so bad service at all, you have to be a very silly to buy anything from themeverytime when you talk with some one they saying "sorry its our company policy, sorry its our company policy" "
"Do not buy from them they keep your money than cancel your order."
"I thought everyone thinking of doing business with music123.com should hear my story before ordering anything from them.I ordered from the music123.com website on February 1, 2012 a $1495 Kremona classical guitar listed as in stock and ready to ship. This was charged to my VISA when I placed the order. I received a confirming email from them, but not till February 6, saying the item had shipped. Four days go by and the UPS shipping status on the UPS website had not changed. When I checked with music123 several times by phone, their people could not explain what was going on. UPS indicated that they had received package information electronically and a label had been created, but did not have the item in their possession. On Friday February 10, I told music123 by phone I would give them a couple more days but would cancel the order if they could not explain this shipping snafu, but they insisted the problem was with UPS. I received an email from them on Sunday, February 12, saying “UPS had returned my order and that my VISA account had been credited.“ Funny, but where I am, UPS doesn't even run on Sunday. I responded to the email thanking them and assuring them this was my first and last order with music123.com. Then as a response, I guess through some employee of music123's idea of a joke, they had the nerve to send me an email with the subject line “ We Love Our Customers – Double Loyalty Points”, which I promptly trashed. When I checked with my credit card company, the charge was never placed on my account until February 7 – nearly a week after placing my order and a day AFTER they say the guitar had shipped. What companies like this do you know of that would ship something to someone before they had paid for it? Today is February 14th and the last I checked, the refund posting to my credit card has still not been made by music123.comBuy from someone else. I believe these folks flat lied to me. Why? Don't know. If I were one of their upper managers, I definitely would not tolerate these kinds of fishy lost sales and would find out what smarta$$ emailed me their loyalty points email. They need to know of the arrogant attitude their employees are projecting.I know these folks are huge and don't give a damn about one customer out of zillions, but they should think about what happened to Circuit City and other such arrogant corporate entities that thought they were too big to fail. A lot of that same thinking rendered their big box store employees unemployed and hungry. I predict the same thing will eventually happen with these Big Guys if they stay the present course. Are you listening Greg Trojan? Disgusted with music123.com In Almost Heaven "
"I placed an order w/ Music123.com this month. The item was listed, backordered til 9-9-11, on 9-9, received an email that the item was backordered til 9-11...on 9-12, til 9-15, on 9-15 delivery scheduled for 9-20-11. No order received by 9-22-11, so called the phone # listed. The item was on backorder until March 2012. I do not recommend dealing w/ this company. I wasted so much time on a item dealing w/ them. I will NEVER! order anything else from them. What a waste of time."
"Ordered a 8-switch Power Center from them via eBay on August 14, 2011 only to find them having canceled my order August 15th. This wouldn't have been so bad if they would have done the process properly and actually provided either a reason why it was canceled and how to remedy or an immediate refund, but in this case neither was provided. It took 5 separate support tickets to finally get an answer as to why the order was canceled (despite being set up to sell on eBay, apparently the billing address provided for me during paypal checkout was 'insufficient'). It took contacting yet another customer service agent and threatening to file a charge reversal before they finally issued a refund. On the note of their customer service, it was easily one of the worst I have ever dealt with. Their policy seems to be to simply quote a line of text from the FAQ on the website then mark the ticket as 'solved' regardless of whether or not the quoted information even related to the question being asked. In summation although their eBay feedback is seemingly overwhelmingly positive, when things do go wrong with ordering from this company it quickly becomes a nightmare. Avoid if any alternatives are available."
"I ordered a light stand and it was packaged so poorly that the plastic brackets were broken and rendered the stand unusable. I called them up as soon as i received it and in short, they shipped a new replacement and said to discard the broken one. This was due to poor packaging, you could hear everything banging around in the box as it was delivered. I placed a seperate order a week later, and thankfully the dj laser light wasn't broken, but with such a fragile item you would think they would add a little more packing material. Someone needs to speak with whoever is in shipping and have them do a better job. The CSR was nice and shipping times were good though. "
"Very Bad serviceThey sent me the wrong product and then would not even agree to send what I bought!DO NOT BUY FROM MUSIC123 EVER!!!!!DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT"
"Used their price match on a Lanikai ukelele, was $75 elsewhere so they quoted me $72.10. Just ordered it by itself, used Paypal, everything looked good, I saw the transaction on my Paypal account. Then, the order got cancelled, I called and was told that there was some mix up with Paypal. Bogus!! They just didn't want to sell it at that price. First time shopping there. Never shop there ever again. Telling all my friends to stay away."
"I ordered four Harmonicas. Nice web site, easy to use, with a better selection than most music retailers. For Harmonicas, what I was buying, that meant a pretty complete selection of Hohner, Suzuki, Lee Oskar, and Hering. But they have a good selection in other areas as well, guitar, drums, keyboards, recording equipment. They shipped promptly, notified me, provided a tracking number and link, I was able to check the status of my order easily at all times. Everything arrived timely and in good condition. And shipping in this case (and many cases in the US) was free.Altogether, between the selection, competitive prices, the quality of service, plus the confidence of knowing the site is operated by Zapf's Music, a well established retailer, I'll be ordering here again."
