But.. I ordered 2 Xbox modchips from them.. After 10 days (website said 5 days ETA) i finally got my order.. Nothing to make a fuss about, i thought. Once i opened the package (after i payed customs and taxes of the TWO xbox modchips), i find out that i only recieved one. Grr. Well, what to do? Email them ofcourse, or try to call them. I did both. Phone wasn't answered, and emailes weren't answered either untill several days later(they say that they answer all emails within 2 hours on their website), i send them a third email (i already send annother one asking for a reply to my first one), saying that if i would not get an answer by noon tomorrow i would contact visa or the police and have my payment canceled. Surely enough, i got a reply shortly after, with some ridicolous explanation about how "the guy" had been on vacation or something very unbelivable and sounded very unprofessional. He asked me if i wanted the missing chip or a refund. I asked for the missing chip to be shipped at once. A week later, and 4 emails later, i haven't heard from him again. No shipping confirmation, no nothing, no reply to tell me what the status is.. I've given up, now i'll be working with visa to ensure that this guy doesn't scam more people. "
I ordered 1 dec. 2004. Haven't received untill today (8 jan. 2005). I contacted both Royal Mail and the Dutch postal service. They both don't have it. Royal Mail could be the curpret, but mrmodchips isn't willing to contact them until 30 working days (6 weeks!), even if Royal Mail states that the sender could start in inquary after 20 working days, which are over.
They don't answer my mails and they deleted my account.

Bought a chip from him..it's BAD. Simple enough? I emailed him, firmly stating I would like for him to TEST the chip, and when found troublesome, send replacement. Well, his response?......NO RESPONSE, and he DELETES my customer history with them, my login account information, and has EVEN gone so far as to "block" my IP from his website, banning me from even going there!! So, now, directly, I can no longer send him any sort of email for him NOT to respond to! The name? "mrmodchips.com"?...laughable! His slogan?....."we set the standard"?....... How exactly LOW is your standard "mrmodchips"? (Not that I am actually expecting a reply back from you!)
PS..THEY EVEN USED MY LOGIN INFORMATION HERE TO CHANGE MY RESELLERRATING POST! I JUST FIXED IT BACK, AND HAVE CHANGED MY LOGIN DATA! Mrmodchips.com, are unethical losers, and to stoop to altering other's posts, is just plain PATHETIC."

"ordered a qoob pro, gamebit, xecuter replacement case for my gamecube. the qoob didn't come with a wire harness, making the install impossible without a LOT of soldering and wire. the gamebit stripped within ONE use. i opened up a help ticket to try and straighten things out. about an hour later, i went back and updated the ticket with extra information about what the wire harness was, in case they tried to send be another usb connector cable on accident, and noticed they had changed my priority from "medium" to "low". i updated it and set it to "high". sure enough, come back another hour later, and it's back at "low". i updated with a particularly unfavorable, but not abrasive comment, something along the lines of ignoring me and not caring whether or not i was helped since they already had my money. in their defense, i DID say i would charge back what i paid for the chip and gamebit if they didn't get off their asses with the returns (faq said they waited 28 days to issue returns. what this probably means is that they wait for your bank to clear your monthly statement so it's a lot harder to get your money back, and makes it look like you waited until it broke to try and send it back. JUST A THEORY.) anyway, i get a response from them within 20 minutes. (finally!) the 'administrator' told me that i was lying about the priority switches that i saw with my own two eyes, so i was probably lying about the wire harness missing because they 'check each shipment 100%' (and apparently are unafflicted by human error), banned me from the help desk, closed my ticket, and if i wanted any help, i'd have to use surface mail. this doesn't help me any, seeing as they're from the UK and i'm from the US, so i promptly issued a chargeback with visa, and CCAVENUE can chew them out now for all i care. i've never encountered a less friendly store."
"Ordered a modchip from MMC and sent it back becuase it was faulty, i was told 4 weeks later that it was working perfectly. I suggested that they test it again and they deleted my account. I now have trading standards involved and hope to sort this out."
"the ps2 is dead after 3 days due to their installation. ask them to check and repair it but get refused. very bad service and expensive. do not do business with such rude guys"

"First of all I wish I'd checked out these reviews prior to placing mr order with MrModchips as I've now been scammed by them too.
They claim to have shipped my order on 16th Jan but it never arrived. Things do get lost in the post so I've been fairly patient with them (waiting through a period of several weeks where their website was down and emails were deleted unread according to their autoresponder). When the website was back up I asked (repeatedly) for the tracking number for the delivery they made so I could check with Royal Mail that it was not being help at the local delivery office. After being ingored for a further week I finally got banned from using their 'help'desk system and told I had to conduct further communications by surface mail. They've relocated to Thailand since I placed the order so this is understandably more tricky.
They claim to be processing the lost delivery through the royal mail procedures. I can't help but feel that their unwillingness to provide tracking details for the delivery mean they never actually sent it.

whilst shopping on the website i got put through to someone else's account, in itself a HUGE PRIVACY RISK.
when i emailed them about this, they requested that i never buy from them again, and closed my account, when they also started blocking my emails i got onto their billing company about this who are currently looking into it.
and now, yesterday MY DETAILS WERE USED to get into my email account, and the secret question/password has been changed. this was possible because my password was the same on this site as my email address password.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER EVER TRUST THIS SITE. they have a fake address (they are actually based in bristol) and this bristol address seems to be used for a great number of other businesses.
if you search the internet, you'll find MANY other stories of how unscrupulous this company is!
you can see from the above link that i am NOT THE ONLY ONE who has had their login details comprimised. this company is absolutely criminal.
i can't describe how much misery this guy has put me through in the last day, having to change all my passwords/usernames etc...
just search "mrmodchips" and "bad" on google, and see for yourself how terrible this shop is."
