"I purchased a 17"LCD from MonitorsDirect on 3/18/04. I've been using this monitor for almost a year and wanted something larger. I tried to contact MonitorsDirect for the purchase of a new LCD, but they seem to be out of business. Their web site is gone, and the phone # is not in operation."
"MonitorsDirect out of business?? MonitorsDirect's Web has been down two weeks, their 800 numbers are not in service, and I have not receivd any replies to repeated emails to my customer service rep. Looks like I'm stuck with my RMA and out of luck.
I ordred a Sony 19" LCD Oct. 31 and it was not compatible with some of Photoshop's features. So I got an RMA in early November and sent it back. FedEx Ground really scuffed up the box but MD refused to even open it, claiming "it must be broken inside" and sent it back without even calling me. The box isn't that bad! The customer service rep never saw it only heard second hand from shipping that "holes" were punched in the side. These turned out to be pre-perforated handle holes that FedEx punched in to carry the box--though not a good practice, admittedly. The monitor is probably perfect but FedEx has it to open and examine as of late December. "
I have the same issue but at least I know my monitor was returned. A company called INGRAM Micro handled my RMA return (I think MonitorsDirect aka Cornerstone Prephirals is a re-distributor of these monitors). I called them and they said they received my monitor and sent MonitorsDirect/Cornerstone the return $. This company is a fraud no doubt or Chapt11. I have found other company names that fall under the main company Cornerstone Prephirals. I have many phone numbers and I did finally get an answering machine 2 days ago. Here is my email please contact me and we can exchange info on our issue. yancyjunk@earthlink.net I am out $570 and I want it back.....spy6624"

"I think this site is out of business. I ordered an LCD monitor on 12/6/2004, and when I checked the status of the order found that their website was down. When I called, I got a recording saying that Monitorsdirect was not taking any orders and to call back in a few days for more information."
"Excellent shopping experience. Prices are very slightly higher than the lowest out there, but worth it for the generous return policy, so I didn't have to worry about dead pixels in an LCD monitor. Support is given before AND AFTER purchase. You feel you are dealing with people rather than an impersonal company that just wants your money: the president of the company himself sent me an email after purchase to check if I was satisfied. The monitor was FedExed very promptly. Highly recommended."
"Placed an order for 3 Samsung 172X models on September 30th and had to wait until October 4th to verify the order over the phone with one of their representatives.
As of October 6th, my order still has not been charged nor fulfilled and the item is now out of stock with no word from MonitorsDirect. Laughably, MonitorsDirect is still running their "today's special" on an out-of-stock item.
I think that MonitorsDirect has forgotten that their "Risk Free Guarantee" ONLY works if their customer actually receives the item(s) AND if their customer service actually provides responsive service - neither of which was evident with my still "pending" order (pending cancellation that is)."

"Ordered Samsung 172x 17" LCD for $450 late wednesday night, shipped thursday morning/afternoon, arrived Friday afternoon. Could not be happier, arrived with no dead pixels, and it was the best price I could find on the net from a reliable reseller. I am also happy with their return policy, I dont have to worry about anything going wrong with it."
"MonitorsDirect ROCKS!! I've purchased millions of dollars of computer equipment in my career... these guys are the BEST. I ordered a 19" LCD on a Sunday afternoon to replace a dead system for an important user. It arrived in perfect condition on Tuesday afternoon... no dead pixels, no issues PERIOD!! If they keep this up... all the other sellers might as well close their doors!!"

"Service was excellent. I e-mailed them questions and always got a response within 24 hours. I even suggested something to improve their site through their "e-mail the CEO" feature and I got a response! I would definitely recommend them."

"Website allowed comparisons with other monitors and specifications of each. Some links to independent reviews of monitors were also available.
I ordered and promptly received an outstanding flat panel monitor, in perfect condition, without any sales personnel intervention being needed.
Overall, this purchase experience was definitely superior to other on-line purchases I have made. I highly recommend MonitorsDirect as a source for computer monitors. "
