I guess when you deal with a product of this nature you're really at their mercy once you hand over the money.. hi-tech drug dealers I guess would be a good term. If you get your product in good condition, everything is fine. If you don't however, it's not like you can go to the cops for help..

"My order is pending (not received yet). I imediatly got confirmation email. That was sat. Monday I got another email the order was shipped UPS express. So far so good. I checked mod sites first before choosing this store. And from them it was recommended as being one of the largest US dealers.(over 20 diff ones). So I took the plunge not checking here first. Should have checked here but o-well. At any rate after looking into this site and mod-chip.com. I have found something out. I know someone said before this co. is not affiliated with the other store. But both mod-chip.com AND ModChip.com have the same layout, store front even notice at bottom of page as to what a mod chip is. Further more the shipping fee and type is the same. The location of owner (Austria) is the same. The emails are similar. AND the garuntee of beating any price by 5% is the same. Coincidence or same co. I don't know. But thats ALLOT of coincidental evidence. Id say they are one and the same. Also they must have two locals or something. A u.s. center I don't know. But the domain is registered to a man who resides in VA. Thats Virginia. If they arent the same site then one of them needs closed for basically coping their site and steeling customers. Would be like setting up a new-egg.com and making it identical but being a diff co. Thats not right. I'll update when my order is recieved here in the states.
UPDATE> recieved order Tuesday, May 03. Thats 7 buisness days. The email they sent upon mailing said 6-8 buisness days sometimes a bit longer due to delays. Im very happy with this co. Package came from Switzerland by the way. And arrived in the U.S . as fast as possible. For $3 shipping-superb. Will do buisness with them again. Packaged very well also. Dont know why all the negitive reviews. Delays can be expected with ANYTHING but debit or CC. Due to $ clearing. So be awaire of that. Like all orders this is the fastest payment method. They get a A+ from me."

If I do manage to receive mine I will probably sell it as I'm sure I can get another one somewhere else, sooner and I wanted the control panel and LCD anyways.. I'll add more if/when something changes.. Oh ya and there lowest price gaurentee?? I found $10 cheaper elsewhere.. Bet they'll refund the difference.. NOT!!!!

Shortly after that, I found this site and, after reading what everyone had to say, was pretty angry. Modchip.com didn't get back to me for five days, but oddly enough the package arrived that day.
So, their customer service is horrible and their products definitely won't arrive in three to six days, but it did arrive. I wouldn't say they are scammers, just not very competent."
I ordered my part and first it took almost 3 weeks to arrive. They took forever to ship and when they did they sent an email saying they were shipping it "tomorrow" (how reassuring is that?) When I received the part finally, it was NOT the correct part! I ordered a dvd drive motor for a PS2 version 9 and the part they send me they said it worked for versions 1 to 11. It did NOT! It didn't even have the right number of pins!
Because of the shipping price, it wasn't even worth it to send back for me because it will cost me half the price of the dvd motor (and the waste of time is not worth the measly $7 I gain back...). I still emailed them to tell them they falsey advertised their part... NO ANSWER...
These people don't care about their customers (they take forever to ship, don't warn anywhere about backorders)... They FALSELY ADVERTISE (some parts dont necessarily work)... Stay away from them please I don't want to see anyone else suffer with them! I don't even know why such a company exists!
