I ordered my photobook December 16, today is December 24 and I have yet to recieve my book! According to the website, my book is still printing. So much for the Christmas present!! I understand its a busy time of year, but if you, as a business, are unable to meet the 3-5 day shipping guidelines, DONT OFFER THEM!!! I have no idea what the quality of my book is, as I do not have it yet. After reading all the negative reviews on Mixbook, I really hope my book turns out! I dont think I will ever order from them again, reguardless of how it turns out!<br><br><br><br>Update: I finally got my photobook today, January 3! It only took 10 days longer than they said it would! I would say its a good quality book. I was really nervous because of all the bad reviews, but I think it looks good. Even with meeting the deadline and paying extra for \u2018express shipping\u2019 and \u2018rush\u2019 processing. SCAM. The express shipping and rush processing cost more than a book and calendar! I feel like I have been scammed with a bait and switch advertisement. Unacceptable. <br>Background:<br>Mixbook ran two email ads, one for personalized photo books and the other for photo calendars. Photo books had to be submitted by 19-DEC and Calendars by 20-DEC. Not only did I submit my materials in time but I agreed to pay extra for \u2018Rush\u2019 processing, just to ensure that my books would arrive early. Needless to say neither the books nor the calendars that I ordered arrived in time for Christmas. <br>When the materials didn\u2019t arrive on 23-Dec, I emailed Mixbooks. The only response was a system generated auto reply. This was \u2018the gift\u2019 this year. With the economy in the toilet and money being tight, this was going to be \u2018the gift\u2019 this year for both sets of grandparents and my wife. I can\u2019t tell you what a disappointment Mixbooks has been. <br>Mixbooks didn\u2019t even let me know that there was a problem meeting their own deadline. That is just bad business. <br>In fact I have yet to receive any notification that the calendars have even shipped yet! The books are listed as arriving on UPS website on Tuesday 27-Dec. I purchased it to make a calendar for my Mom, as I make one every year as a Christmas gift for her. I spent a long time trying to create the calendar and ordered it well before the cut-off date for guaranteed Christmas delivery. Their FAQ says printing takes 3-5 days, but mine spent 10 days in printing. On the 8th day I emailed them to find out what the delay was. I received a response 2 days later (now day 10) to say they were sorry for the delay and were refunding my shipping cost. It is now day 14, UPS has made their last delivery to me before Christmas (they do not deliver on Christmas eve) and I have not received my calendar. <br>Mixbook prices are much higher than the service I usually use and their shipping charges are OUTRAGEOUS!!! Mixbooks did not communicate with me about the delay until I reached out to them to find out what the problem was. There is also no phone number to contact Mixbook. I have tried their live chat, but it actually just sends an email to them and you get an automated response back. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Same dull quality print I would get from Tinypritns and Shutterfly.<br><br>Only good thing is their nice easy to use interface. I could go to WalGreens and get this done in a day vs. 2 weeks \u0022rush service\u0022 that should of been here in a week. <br><br>Also shipping cost is a pay scam. After hours of designing your card. They make you eat it with over $40 is shipping fees for only 200 post cards! Yes just 200 small 4x5 postcards. I\u0027m afraid what their books would cost to ship! Plus $15 \u0022rush processing\u0022 fee that never happened. I live in the USA where it does not cost that much to mail a box of gym weights by USPS Priority mail in a flat rate box (I get for free from them) with tracking coastal. Lies!<br><br>I see now they deal with Groupon and any company that uses Groupon is like investing in Enron. No thanks! Looks Like I found out too late.<br><br>Want to vent some steam?<br><br>Mixbooks phone number is listed! Just not on their website but on your credit card bill! I ordered my cards using a groupon, and little did I know that it would take a very long time to receive my order. For more than two weeks, my order said that it was \u0022Printing\u0022, and on my order confirmation, it stated that my expected delivery date was Dec. 16. On the 15th, I emailed them, asking if they were true to what they have stated, but no response. My status did not change the entire weekend, and on the 18th, I went on to their facebook page, just to look. Lo and behold, I see many complaints of the same. I wrote on their wall, and someone responded. I got an email response the same day. They offered me a refund on my shipping and a $10 credit for a future order, but nothing at the time about my cards. I was ready to ask them to cancel it all together, as I waited long enough. Later that night, I received another email that my order will be shipped over night. At that point, I expected that it will come today. They gave me a tracking number, and turns out that it\u0027s shipped by UPS Ground and will not arrive until tomorrow. Our UPS truck doesn\u0027t deliver until the evening, so it will be too late to go into the mail which means everyone will receive them after Christmas. Yes, it is just Christmas cards, but the aggravation of having to wait, then having to complain, then not getting what you were told, has me wanting to wish that Mixbook goes out of business because they cannot keep up with the demand. I wished I have never gotten the groupon and stuck with Shutterfly, which I use all the time. That said, I can\u0027t even comment on the quality of the cards since I don\u0027t have them. I also have seen many complaints about quality issues, so I am not holding my breath. "I am never ever going to use Mixbook ever again!!! Their software is extremely unreliable...for example, after completing my project and reviewing my work, everything appeared great! However, I got an email stating that my project was
'put on hold due to photo generation errors"....so i fixed the problem photo. And then I received another email telling me that AGAIN my project was "put on hold due to photo generation errors". After so many emails back and forth, I proceeded to just call a representative and ask that my project be sent just the way it is now, as this is a 2012 calendar for which now I had lost a WHOLE MONTH!!!!! After the representative saying okay to this request, I then again got another email telling me that once again my project was "put on hold due to photo generation errors".....arghhhhhhh!!!!! I cannot believe how a company does not have enough coordination in their customer service department to get this right!!! I am soooo sooo fed up with this company. And to top it off, they are not willing to reimburse me for any inconvenience!!!! arghhhh.....never ever ever using Mixbook again!!"
