"I ordered Nec FE1250 Monitor the next day the russian old man called me and confirmed the shipping, like some old russian jewish man and I didnt like sound of it... Ok in 3 days my monitor was shipped Monitor should be Grade A (like new) condition instead it had a lot of scratches on surface and on screen plus i turned it on it had blur image , sunburn spots , color changing, dead pixels (more than 6 for sure) well I looked at back of monitor I thought i maybe can bypass their customer service and Send it for replacement directly to NEC-MITSUBISHI but it was said October 2000 exectly 3 years :( so i called them asked for refunding money they said they will contact fedex and once they will get my monitor they will return money 1 week later i called them ask where is fedex they said that they were too busy etc... and they said they will decide untill next day. The next day this old man contacted me and said that they have Return Policy in which if i want to return their product i have to pay full shipping and handling and they will charge me 20% off the price of this monitor so of course i said i want replacement. 2 weeks later (now) after they got my monitor they still dont send me and ive read reviews i already afraid to think of something that can happen like they will send me bad monitor or different monitor etc... Im very dissatisfied with this company I wouldnt recomend anyone to deal with them and i wouldnt buy anything from them in future. Why those kind of stores are still out there??? Cant someone close it down ? Alot of people wasted their money on them i think they deserv to be closed down.

"I honestly tried to be understanding.

Bought a Dell P1110 Monitor from them in January.
#1 Monitor arrived with a massive scratch in the screen. Had to return at my own expense of $60 to have it replaced.
#2 Monitor became blurry only months after receiving it. Lost it's ability to focus. Returned at my own expense of $60.
#3 Monitor also starting to lose focus a few months after being replaced.

Contacted merkortech via e-mail, they ignored it. Called them and got an RMA # and was told that they would have Fed Ex pick up this monitor.

Great--1 week goes by, and no phone call. Call Merkortech again, and they don't remember speaking to me the week before, and tell me they won't send Fed Ex to get the monitor. I'm a bit ticked by now, and tell them that I was promised that it would be picked up, I even told them I would upgrade to another monitor to get out of this potential rut. All is good, Fed Ex will call.

Another week goes by, no Fed Ex, no reply to e-mails. All I can say is that I am glad that I purchased it on a citi-bank card. I hate to do it, but if they still refuse to contact me after being EXTREMELY patient and non-argumentative, they can deal with the cc company.

I hope that I can edit this within the week with a good response."

"I got a great deal on a terrific product and only paid a fraction of the cost of most other online stores. Customer service over the phone was a tad.....well for lack of a better word lacking. But i got a great product in a decent timeframe in perfect condition.

As a matter of fact the monitor they shipped probably could have survived a plane crash it was packaged so well. Kudos to merker!!!"

"Ordered a 21" Grade A Trinitron monitor. The monitor received had an extremely dim display. I called them, got an RMA number issued, and shipped it back to them (76 pounds at my expense). Over a month later, I still had not received a replacement so I called them. I was told "your monitor tested bad... you'll have a replacement Friday". Friday came and went, and almost a week later it finally arrived. Surprise, surprise, this one is bad too! I'm cutting my losses and giving up on this company."

ResellerRatings.com TOP REVIEWER!

"First let me say...Wow. I ordered the Nokia 445xPro 21" monitor due to good reviews/hitachi tube. It does 1600x1200 resolution @ 95hz! It was listed as a "B" grade monitor...but this thing is in flawless condition, looks brand new. I use this for hardcore gaming and every other type of home use. Graphics and text are top notch. Uses Bnc or Svga cables. The built-in USB hub is coming in handy also.
Merkortech is becoming fairly popular among the enthusiast crowd for good reason. They stand ready at the phones to help out and inform. A fellow Alex(Albert?) has been particularly helpful. He solved a minor monitor cable issue right away. Sending me a new cable free via fed-ex. Highly recommended merchant.

Edit: Forgot to mention that product packing was superb. First with insulating plastic, then with thick spray foam to fill in all the gaps in the box."

"On a second thought, perhaps my previous
comment on MerkorTech is too harsh.

I intended to buy a used 1920x1400 (or similar
resolutions) 21" monitor with around $300
budget. Now as I am misled to buy a 1600x1200
monitor and cannot return it, you can imagine
how upset I am when I see such a big chunk
of 21" tube.

At least the Sun GDM-5010PT monitor works fine
so far. Any Merkor buyer should google
the corresponding official specifications
and ignore the ones post on their site.

"I am at this point satisfied with my dealings and will update this post as more information becomes available, my reason for posting is to share information with others. I purchased 2 monitors from Merkor on my brothers recommendation he has also purchased 2 for his business. At this time 3 of the 4 are working great, but GMD20E21SGI is flickering for the first hour or more after I turn it on. The picture goes from normal to a darker (not blacked out) and back again. It does go away after it has been on for a long time but it is getting worse as far as amount of times per minuet and the length of time before it stops.
I am on the understanding that it came with a 6 month warranty but that is not reflected on my receipt. I would have liked to seen that in writing of course I didn’t notice till I had an issue.
I have e-mailed Merkor and not gotten a response yet but it has only been 24 hours, so today I called as soon as I was able to verify that no response was e-mailed to me. My name and number was taken and I am looking forward to a call tomorrow.
I do want to go on the record that the monitors were both in good shape upon arrival, packed very well, and sent out faster that I expected.
I will update as more info becomes available.
Walt K.
Update 10/30
I received an RMA today and will be sending out tomorrow.
Update 10/31
The bad one is on the way out
update 10/4
No word yet"

"Ordered "17" Monitor IBM/HP/NEC/Dell/Sony/Gateway/Viewsonic/etc. Grade B" online 01/17/03, order processed 01/21/03, shipped 01/21/03, arrived 01/25/03. Although the monitor was rated a "B" I would say it is a low "A"! Very very minor burnin (windows logon dialog box slightly visible), case is very clean, the base had tabs that were broken, but still sits in the base upright. The cost could not be beat at $67($31.95 + $35.50 shipping), even at local shops just looking for used or refurbished monitors! Shipping cost was high but packaging was great (I am wondering if the base was broken before packing because box was in great shape), and total cost cheaper than anything local. I do have one complaint...Fed Ex Home Ground delivery left box outside apartment door without getting a signature! Luckily a neighbor saw it and put it inside their apartment and left me a note! Dealing with the hassle of a missing shipment is not fun when you need a replacement part for your computer."

"I ordered a 21" IBM flatscreen monitor from this company and it was on my doorstep in 6 days. There are no detectable scratches or scuffs, all of the cables were bagged with caps over the connectors, and the packaging was great. I used to set up brand new office computers and this monitor's condition and packaging is comparable. Great price. So far so good!"
