"Ordered some TwinMos 3200 and Laserjet 1100 memory.

The products were shipped on time, but the shipping part was a frickin fiasco. Memory-X was not at fault. All I can complain about was that the shipping otions to canada were lacking.

Here's what happened:

December 6th 2003:
-Placed order # memx-xxxxxx.
-Shipping selected: DHL/Airborne to Canada, 2 days.

December 9th 2003:
-Sent email to Memory-X customer support requesting tracking number
-Received tracking number without incident

December 10th 2003:
-Got ‘formal’ email from Memory-X with tracking info and URL

December 11th (?) 2003:
-Noticed on DHL Website that package arrived in Montreal on the 9th of December, but nothing had been delivered to me yet.
-Called DHL customer support. They had no idea where it was.
-They said it should be delivered within the day or by Monday December 15
-I was dissatisfied. Opened package tracing case, ticket # xxxxxxx
-Customer service agent said that I’d get a callback within the day.
-No callback.

December 15th 2003:
-Called DHL customer service.
-Agent sent email and left voicemail at tracking department and said I’d get callback.
-I got manager’s number, left voicemail.
-Trace desk called in. Said they’d start a ‘warehouse search’. Agent stated that all packages that arrived in Montreal on December 9th would have already been delivered.
-Agent said that he’d call back the next day with warehouse search results.

December 16th 2003:
-No callback from Olivier.
-Callback from manager: Manager states that package is probably either lost or stolen. Told me to contact originator (memory-x). Told her that if package was sent out it was no longer Memory-X’s responsibility; it was DHL’s.
-Manager said she’d callback later in the day.
-I sent email to Memory-X customer service.
-Tried to call Olivier directly many times, busy tone.
-Got response from MemoryX. Filled out “Lost/Delayed” form and provided the above info as per agent's request. Faxed form.
-No callback from DHL Customer Service manager.

Today, the 17th:
-Got callback from DHL manager, package found.
-Package delivered successfully.
-Informed MemoryX of this. I was credited for the amount I paid for shipping. No bitching on my part required!

=-=-=

If I had any problems, it was with DHL, the shipping outfit.

-MemoryX sent the packages on time.
-MemoryX replied to all emails. (was always in touch)
-MemoryX was ready to re-ship order if it was indeed lost or stolen
-MemoryX credited my account with shipping cost.

[[[[[[[[[[CLIFF NOTES]]]]]]]]]]]]]

MemoryX had the products I needed at the price I wanted to pay. They did EVERYTHING right. If you need memory, give them a look-see.

But for the love of God, DO NOT USE DHL/Airborne under any circumstances.

If there's one negative aspect of ordering from MemX, it was that their shipping options to Canada were limited/crappy. US customers have the UPS option, which is excellent.

MEMORY-X ROCKS."

"I recently ordered two 1GB sticks of memory for a Gateway 556GE desktop computer. This was my second order from MemoryTen and both times the memory worked perfectly. I had previously ordered memory from Gateway that crashed my computer and caused a boot problem that took four days to fix.

It has been a real pleasure to deal with MemoryTen. For each delivery the product arrived very quickly and was packaged very nicely in a plastic casing, far superior to the Gateway packaging.

I would highly recommend MemoryTen and would readily do business with them in the future."

"Shipping is only ONE dollar!? And it was here really fast, like two days after I ordered it. It was nicley packaged, meaning well protected. The cost of the RAM was the cheapest around.....I can not say enough good things about MemoryTen, I've already recommended it to my friends and co-workers."

"MemoryX shipped the product I ordered the next business day (for free since my order exceeded $100). Sent out confirmation e-mails on order receipt and shipping. What more can you ask for?"
