Was not happy with the results of the upgrade. It took (8 1/2) hours to download and one hour to install only to find out my GPS's memory was too small to accept the entire upgrade and ended up losing access to states I had before. This only gave me access to states in the SE and before the upgrade I had all of the lower 48.

I have ordered from MegaGPS before and found it to be very reasonably priced with great service. I ordered the Lifetime updates for my Garmin and it cost less shipped than I could buy it from Garmin. I have recommended MegaGPS to everyone I know who uses GPS.

CONSUMER BEWARE! Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 270 and paid $19.99 for expedited shipping. I needed a gps with Italian maps for a one month vacation in September. When I arrived in Italy I discovered the unit was dead out of the box. So much for quality control. I then called Garmin tech support in Europe hoping for a fix, and described the problem/symptoms. They advised that the unit was defective and I should "return it to your dealer". Had to rely upon maps for the whole trip. When I got back I immediately called megagps - but, catch22 applies, i.e. since I did not return the unit in 30 days they would not accept it back for a credit on my card and forget about a shipping return/credit. Nevermind that I was in traveling in Europe for over 30 days and could not return it while I was touring. Repeated attempts to return the unit for credit were rebuffed culminating in a sanctimonius speeche questioning my integrity. The best offer- return was for either a merchandise credit on a future order, or return to Garmin under warranty for repair or replacement (thanks a lot - since I don't have a time machine I can't re-do my once in a lifetime vacation). And Since this company is not likely to be in business long I had better order something from them quickly if I accept a mechandise credit.  
Pay a little more and buy your gps from a reputable dealer who treats their customers right.

We have a 30 day return policy. All products have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. This is one of many requests to return the product after the vacation and beyond the sales policies. We offeder to allow him an exchange toward another product which he declined andgot mad. Agreeing to our sales policies, similar to BestBuy and others, is required before purchasing. Please read the sales policies and you will be happy, I promise! Read the rest of the reviews.

This GPS unit works fine. I don't know if they all do this, when it has to recalculate it takes a totally different route. Also when on the expressway it always sends me to the local lanes instead of the express lanes. I haven't had a chance to see if the traffic feature works.

Placed order by phone for next day delivery needed for missing person search. Got charged for Air ship but went out Ground. Can't redirect or get refund until it ships back to them (10 days min) so now money is tied up in a unit that I don't have. They need to send tracking # earlier so errors can be corrected.

Order Garmin UK & Ireland City Navigator on Wednesday eve. paid 2 business day shipping. Thursday and Friday have passed and no delivery. Will be leaving for my trip Monday, and have not received my order. Customer service has less than banking hours, could not reach them to track my item. And Amazon was no help even though this is one of their purchase links. Not happy.

I have looked into your concern to see what has happened. I see that you placed your order Wednesday evening 7/22/09 at 7:08 PM MT 9:08 ET, this was five hours past our same day cutoff. Your order was shipped the next business day Thursday 7/23 by UPS 2 Day Air as you requested. UPS, FedEx etc work on a Monday through Friday work week. The UPS tracking shows the order is tracking ontime and is out for delivery Monday. This appears to be a miscalculation or misunderstanding of when a UPS 2 Day Air package would deliver to you. We hope the UPS package will arrive prior to your departure on Monday.

I recieved my Garvin NUVI 1350 a week ago. I was surprised how easy it was to start using it using the quick start manual. We have used it three times and it works perfectly giving me which lane to be in for my turns in town as well as on the interstate. The voice giving you information is clear and easy to understand. Shipped me a defective unit and insisted that i pay the shipping charges to return the unit. Spoke to one of the owners and he was more concerned about lecturing me on his shipping policy instead of doing what’s right for the customer. He instructed me to read their shipping policy - "Customer satisfaction is our number one goal" maybe the company needs to review their own policy!

Customer's unit failed, they called Garmin and received a return authorization to replace the unit under the manufacturer's warranty. They called MegaGPS upset about return/replace policies of Garmin. They worked through our customer service and spoke to an owner to explain the warranty replacement process and policies. When an explanation of the policies and proces was given they hung up still upset. They will certainly get a new replacement from Garmin, who has excellent customer service. We are sorry they were so trouble about the process and reflected that on our company. Please read the rest of our reviews and judge accordingly.

This is the third Garmin that i have had. I drive a tour bus all over the east coast. Small towns and large cities. Have never had any misques yet.Hope this one works as good as the rest .......Thank you Garmin... charles j. bell
