I orded online a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ110B with 2nd day delivery. On the next day Jeffrey (from MP SUPERSTORE) call me at my office and try to sell me other things that I didn't need. I refuse every thing, from extended warranty to memory upgrade. He ask me to hold-on, and after 5 minutes on hold and 20 minutes of B.S. conversation he told me that "sorry we don't have the item in stock, it should take 5 to 14 days to get it", I said no problem and he said hold on... more 5 minutes and he comes and told me that he is unable to complete the order because I didn't meet the computer requirement and he hill not charge my card.
I was looking at the feedbacks after that and I conclude that they do that with everybody that don't want buy "extra things". I don't recomend this company to anybody.

Good experience. After dealing with many lowball prices complete with bait, attempt to switch and then suddenly "we're out of stock", this was refreshing. I bought an open box Pan. GS-150 for $427. I mailed in a $50. rebate and expect I'll receive it. All was in order. 1 tiny scratch on the outside of the LCD. It came carefully packed and complete. Except the camera nothing but the AC converter was open.
I'm off to find out what DVD recorders they have.

Electrodiscounts.com (a.k.a. Marine Park Camera and Video) is a fraudulent company, and should not be dealt with. BUYER BEWARE, do your research on this company. Check the New York Better Business Bureau (this company is based in Brooklyn), there have been dozens of complaints filed against this company under their Marine Park name. I purchased a camera from electrodiscounts.com, I then canceled my order as I became uncomfortable with their business practices (e.g. no invoice Emailed, delays in shipping). They sent the order anyway, and denied that I had canceled my order. I bounced the camera back to them when it arrived. More than ten calls to the company, three trips to the police station, and two trips to my bank, were required to get a refund. And, this refund was NOT issued by electrodiscounts, but the bank reimbursed me via their fraud insurance.

I will NEVER buy from this company again after having been blatantly lied to 3 times.
I orderd a digital camera and was assured that the camera was in stock. It apparently wasn't as a week later, I received an email (which looked like spam) telling me to call them. They blamed Olympus for taking a long time to send it to them. If you don't have the camera, why did you tell me it was "in stock?"
I followed up this call with several others where I was told that "the item is on its way from Olympus," or that it was "in the final processing stages." Finally, after 4 wks, I cancelled my order.
Never an apology, never an attempt to make things better. This is an unprofessional company that does not deserve your business.
I wish I had done research before placing my order, because if I did, I would have seen that a LOT of other customers have had similarly bad experiences with MPSuperStore.
Shopping with Marine Park Superstore is NOT "like a walk in the park."

This company is absolutely ridiculous, please please please do not order anything from them! i fell into all of the same traps as other users. Called the 800 #, ended up buying super advanced, high tech memory and warranty. They still have not shipped my camera, and it is 2 weeks later. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and YOU SHOULD TOO! This is a horrible horrible company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked them prior to purchasing if this item was in stock and ready for immediate shipping. They said yes. I asked a couple of times during the ordering process. Well, I kept checking everyday and they said the order was processed and it would ship that day and I would get an email. Well it didn't ship that day so I called the next day and the lady checks with the warehouse and they don't have them so she checks with the buyer and he says that the shipment from Nikon is coming in that day and it would ship out that day. Well it didn't. At least they didn't hang up on me yet like the other companies did. I finally did get a tracking number"had to call them to get it" and it did arrive finally 5 days after shipping. It arrived in good condition and is a brand new product. They did still lie to me in the begining and along the way until the day they actually shipped it. Just glad to finally have the camera. I will check ratings before I buy again. This review was modified by its author, Sydneyspencer, on

Wow, I have never in my life dealt with such a dishonest and fraudulent company. This store and Electrodiscounts are sister companies and will flat out lie to you time and time again. Tom and David will fraudulently make up "upgrade" equipment like a "faster" camera memory card for an additional $30 and then send the same one listed that was cheaper. I caught them in this lie by getting the manufacturer to look into this. They are the WORST company. My overnight shipping for $40 only got me the camera, the memory card and accesories have been back ordered for a month now and no one will talk to me. I get hung up on, "we're checking on it" emails, and again lied to with "it's in the mail." What a bunch of half-wits. I have turned them into the BBB of NY they have been unethical and I still have no resolution to my problem. I wish this nightmare would end. DO NOT BUY FROM ELECTRODISCOUNTS OR MARINE PARK (MP SUPERSTORE). They should be shut down.

I ordered my laptop via overnight service because I needed it ASAP. I ordered a factory refurb unit, however, upon arrival I noticed the "FACTORY REFURBISHED - Do not accept if this seal is broken" tape seal was broken. The laptop I received has horrible scratch marks and a DEAD PIXEL. I tried to return it but they were out of stock and made me pay my own shipping charges + buy a 'more expensive' unit. Also were very rude on the phone and refused to compensate me for my trouble. Scammers. Stay away!

I purchased a Sony Vaio TR2AP3 over the Internet from Electrodiscounts aka Marine Park. I received an email asking to call thei 800# to discuss the order. In retrospect, I feel like this request was a ploy to give them an opportunity to sell me the extended warranty. Like a fool, I allowed myself to be talked into the buying a 3-year extended warranty for $399.99 - something I don't normally do for electronics that tend to be obsolete so quickly. The saleperson convinced me becaseu he said the screen was the most expensive part of the laptop, and it would be covered for damange and replaced. That alone would pay for the cost of the warranty. BUYER BEWARE! When the laptop arrived, I did not read the warranty. RAther, I assumed what I was told was over the telephone was the same as the written warranty. $700 later, I learned that was not the case. And, when I tried to dispute the change, the Manager (David Water was the name he gave me) as much as told me I was at fault because his staff does not make mistakes like this, and I had the responsibility to read the warranty and request a refund immediately upon receipt of the paperwork if I didn't agree with the coverage. While that may be true, I feel the company has an obligation to take responsibility for what their representatives say to customers, rather than assuming the customer doesn't know what he or she is talking about. THis is a company I will never do business with again, and adivse all others to be aware of the liberties they take when selling over the telephone. I would recommend tape recording (with their knowledge) any representations they make over the telephone, and be prepared to fight if they don't honor their committment. The manager was not the least bit interested in finding any way to satisfy my concern. He felt it was entirely my fault, and didn't worry about after sales service.
Good luck!

Beware! These guys are the king of the bait and switch, and the "sell them overpriced accessories" scams. I got deceived by them, and I will never buy anything off of any dealers from NYC or any of the bouroughs again! Better to pay a little extra, and get it from amazon.com or someone else who will back up their sales. BTW, my transaction date is not correct, it was 2001, but the site wouldn't let me put earlier than 2003 in. MP Superstore AKA Marine Park SUCKS!!!

Had a bad experience with Marine Park Camera, but did not realize www.electrodiscounts.com was the same company. Same problems. High pressure sales tactics. Delaying the order. Etc.

MP Superstore (aka Marine Park) is absolutely the worse to conduct business with. I ordered a sony Vaio Tr2 but they shipped the wrong item. They never reimbursed me for the cost of sending the wrong item back to them, a mistake that they clearly made. When I complained and asked for reimbursement, they said "what do you expect? You still got a good deal." Clearly, this company has no idea about customer satisfaction. Buyer beware !!!! These guys are dishonest and do not deserve your hard earned money. Look elsewhere for your purchase. You won't regret it. Learn from my mistake.

On 12/1/03 I ordered a Sigma zoom lens online, as Pricegrabber listed them as having the lowest price. On 12/2 I was called by Marine Park staff to "upgrade" my order to a different lens. Stupidly, I agreed. That evening, I referenced the lens "upgrade" only to find it was higher priced at Marine Park than at any other store...even my local Ritz Camera. I called the next morning to cancel my order, only to be told the order was in the warehouse, packaged, ready for shipment. I consented to let the order stand...stupid me again. I have now called seven times and been told 6 of the 7 times the order has been shipped. Thus far, I have received only a UV filter (wrong size) that I did not order. Customer service requires long waits on hold and multiple transfers. The store is only open Mon-Thu & Sun with limited hours, even during holiday season. I will NEVER order from Marine Park again.

Marine Park was helpful in my purchase. They had great prices, and good knowledge of the product. Definitely a "will buy again" store.

I purchased some Digital Optics converter lenses from Marine Park Camera & Video over eBay and the salesperson was Chuck.
I returned the lenses because they weren't the correct size and Marine Park exchanged them. I wasn't satisfied with one of the lenses and I received permission to send it back and I was refunded, thru my PayPal account, the cost of the lens and the related shipping costs.
I believe the vendor acted very professionally in this transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other persons.
