"I ordered a loaded Aeron chair from Madison Seating.
After the order I realized I needed it shipped after a specific date. I contacted them thru their orders email address and they adjusted the shipping date. The chair arrived when I needed it.

The chair was packed really well. I only had to put the back on the seat/base. The chair came with assembly instructions & a booklet showing me what all the knobs and levers were for.

After assembling the chair I realized the headrest was missing. I contacted Madison Seating that night via email. I also called them in the morning & they stated that the headrest was being shipped out right away.

I received it 2 days later.

I was very happy with the customer service at Madison Seating & I would recommend it to a friend."

"I just wanted to say thank you - order was delivered perfectly and in good shape. Chairs were very easy to assemble. Had ordered 2 Aeron chairs and they came within 10 days and very easy to put together."

"I ordered a chair at price $623 from MAdison seating and asked specifically for all shipping costs assocaited with getting this to me in WHitehorse , Yukon Canada. Yes there are cities in the Northland. They quoted me $170.0 for shipping and billed my credit card for total $793.99.
the chair never got there and then after much trouble I was refunded $668.99. When I called them about this they said they tried to get it to me but something went wrong in delivery and so I am still charged $125.00 for the attempted delivery. Now thats a business I want to get into. charge people $125.0 for nothing.
I am going to talk about this to any one who cares to read it . I was ripped off, they were rude and basically said that I was lucky that that was all they took off of refund for what is their fault. Shipping to me was their responsability not mine. I paid what they quoted for shipping it was in their court.I have no chair they charged me $125 for their failure. Stay away from these scammers."

"I would rate zero stars if it were possible. I paid $700.00 for an "open box" Leap V2 chair and received a used, broken (seat adjustment lever broken off) chair that was covered in some type of orange film and improperly packaged. There were gouge marks all over the bottom of the seat where it looked like someone used a screwdriver (repeatedly) to try and remove the seat bottom. Any damage that was done to this chair in shipment was obviously caused by their poor packaging and I let UPS know this after the company filed a bogus damage claim with UPS! I sent the chair back and was told they would send a check instead of issuing a credit to my charge card. If I wanted an immediate credit, it would be less the 3% fee that Amex charged them to use my card! Amex didn't agree with that, obviously and they are now investigating this company's practices. Totally rude, unprofessional staff who argue instead or resolving issues. I wish I would have done more research before buying from this company as there are a TON of negative reviews online. It appears at least 40% of the people who do business with them are unsatisfied. Looks like the site with the greatest percentage of good reviews is theirs. Go figure! Do yourself a favor and spend more money for a new chair with a factory warranty. There is a big difference between "open box" and USED. Steelcase and all of their dealers ship for free. "

"Bought a leather, carpet caster Steelcase Leap V2 chair for half price. Made a mistake in setting it up, but Madison immediately sent complete instruction so I could correct it. The chair is superb!—way ahead of anything else I've tried. I'm an editor, and it has spared me untold agonies of back pain from long hours at the desk. I highly recommend this chair and this seller."

"I see a lot of horrible ratings here but I took a risk and placed an order anyway...the confirmation and delivery did not meet SLA's but I stayed on top of it so they were only behind processing one or two days. Still, I was nervous. In the end, I got my stuff and it was all fine."

"I have purchased three different orders thru madison seating. All the items were shipped as per the order. condition of the chairs were excellent- like brand new. prices were the lowest of any other online retailer. customer service was very good. I would buy from madison seating again and recommend madison seating to anyone."

"I ordered Haworth X99 Task Chair. 10 days later no contact, no chair. I called them and the chair is not in stock. Credit card was not charged, but this is not cool - they still show that chair "in stock". Basically, bait and switch - they tried to sell me other chairs over the phone. Forget it."

"Returning a chair through no fault at all of the manufacturer. However the experience with Madison Seating is one I will never forget, or experience again, as I will never buy from them again. Timeliness is aweful, their automated customer service system is less than helpful and getting online shipment status information was next to impossible to obtain. Cancelling an order after a lengthy wait with no status at all resulted in them shipping it the next day after it was cancelled, and then expecting me to pay the return shipping fees as they don't do return shipments. Didn't find that out until later when dealing the personal customer service individual after the fact whom was even less helpful because they didn't even know their own return policy details. Overall I'd say they were the worst online experience I've had to date. Won't be making that same mistake a second time."
