WARNING! MacMall shipped with a complete disregard to proper packaging. A hard disk drive was shipped in a cardboard box without any foam padding. The drive arrived all beat up, and even the dessicant pouch had ruptured. Needless to say the HDD was DIA. I opted to RMA thru Western Digital insteal of MacMall since I doubted that any fragile item would be packaged carefully by MacMall. How much did you save on packaging MacMall, fifty cents?

The absolute WORST COMMUNICATIONS....EVER. My order showed "In Stock". I didn't find out that my order was in back-order status until I called. Was told it would ship in 3 days. Guess what? It didn't. Called again and was told it would be another week delay. Never got anything about either delay. Then I dicovered by accident that my Paypal account was debited. Why? Because the item had shipped. Did they bother to tell me that piece of information? Of course not. Will never buy from them again.

Paid for Fedex overnight shipping and the order clearly stated that I would receive on Oct. 2nd. I called customer service and was told that the item had shipped but tracking # had no details and I would still receive as stated today. CS said she would call me back in an hour or two with tracking details. Amazingly the tracking # now shows item wasn't even shipped until today and won't be here until 10-5-09. I requested a refund of the shipping or cancel the order but have not received a reply from MacMall.

After 10 years of buying online, I thought I could predict when a seller would not follow through on their rebate promises. I could not have been more wrong with Macmall. After filling out over 8 pages of forms and copying multiple receipts and UPC codes and following all instructions to a T, and sending all the proper paperwork literally the day after receipt...you guessed it "your purchase does not fulfull criteria"...do NOT expect a follow through on any of their promises...

I will never order from this company again. You should not order from them either. I've spent all day trying to reach a human being who speaks English and lives in the USA. ALL of their customer service is outsourced! In addition, they simply will not honor online coupons (I had one for free shipping), and they were absolutely rude to me on the phone - four times. I called their corporate headquarters (310.354.5600) and was transferred to India and to the Phillipines, after specifically requesting a conversation with someone IN THE UNITED STATES.
I'm done. I'll take my business to a company that employs Americans; please join me.

I purchased MacBook Pro 15.4" - MC118LL/A from MacMall. I placed the order online. The MacBook shipped as promised the next day. I did receive a call to verify the order but that's fine, I appreciate extra verification. The MacBook arrived at my house within a week, perfectly packed no issues at all.
Even before I received the MacBook, Apple shipped Snow Leopard and MacMall started to include it in the new orders. I sent an email to customer service asking for extending that offer to me. Richard, the customer service rep replied the next day and pointed me to Apple's "uptodate" program. Apple charges 10$ for upgrade, Richard even without asking credited 10$ to my account.
I am now crossing my fingers to receive all seven rebates. So far the experience has been positive.

Received a defective product, customer service seemed unwilling to provide a replacement unless I ordered another one and let them "refund me" the money for the DOA one once I shipped it back. I refuse to buy a product twice, so I asked them to refund my money. They said they'll have a RMA number in 2 days. We'll see what happens when I ship it back.
UPDATE:
I finally got someone who knew how to help me. After speaking with a manager or supervisor over email, I was provided with a shipping label and an RMA number, which I then sent and was promptly given a refund. If you can connect with the right people, they'll take care of you, just hope you get the right people This review was modified by its author, UndyingShadow, on

I didn't have any major problems with my order, but if you are expecting rebates, you must be very vigilant and proactive. Three of the advertised rebates did not get associated with my order (about $160). I had to call and get them e-mailed to me. Then when I submitted them they were automtically rejected. I had to call again (they were manually reinstated). When I originally placed my order, the sales rep told me I could submit all rebates in one envelope. When I checked MacMall's rebate FAQ, it expressly prohibited that. I did get my checks in the end, but buyer beware-- check the rebate status page early and often.

I recently tried to purchase an apple macbook pro 15.4" 2.8 Ghz laptop. After carefully reviewing the information provided on the laptop( http://macmall.com/ttsvr/p/Apple-MacBook-Pro/product~dpno~7836996~pdp.ffebjii ) I noticed that whenever I would attempt to go to the next step and order the video card would magically downgrade itself from the 512MB to 256MB (http://macmall.com/ttsvr/n/macNavLinks-305?q=7836996&qt=7836996)Almost to trick customers. So I concluded this was a bit fishy so i attempted to order it over the phone. After speaking to a sales associate at macmall named "raj" he promptly told me that I would hear something within 24 hours and I was approved for billmelater. Next day rolls around and I get in touch with this to discuss the status on my order. From here on out while speaking with the sales associate he mentioned that my order was not approved. I immediatly told him the sales associates name and that I was approved to get this laptop. He responded by "this is Raj" and immediately hung up the phone. I would not recommend buying from here as here there are two flaws with the company and I would not trust them.

I had no problems at all with Macmall, they were professional, courteous and my refund was at my house in about 5 weeks. I ordered my new Mac on 6/11, had to wait a week for them to get the new Macbook Pros, but as soon as they got it , it was shipped to me and arrived the next day, Jesse Barcelona is a great account manager. Emailed them 2 weeks later about refund and received a response the next day, Karen Felipe stated that my refund was approved and should be at my house in about 3 weeks. It arrived today 6/23, so all in all a very satisfying experience with Macmall, will definetly use them again.

After posting my initial review (parenthesis below), MacMall called and apologized and applied a refund for the shipping charges, which effectively pays for the increased cost incurred from not getting it the next day. They indicated that the one day delay was due to not having it in stock in the warehouse, but their excellent customer service took care of the problem right away. I would definitely order from them again. (I ordered a 150 feet of ethernet cable for a project I am working on. Paid a lot extra for overnight delivery. Order was placed on a Thursday, so figure worst case "overnight" gets to me Monday. The truck that delivered all my equipment for a data collect left Monday afternoon. The cable finally got delivered Tuesday.) This review was modified by its author, tirgang, on

Sometimes they are good. Sometimes they advertise items for low cost but when you try to buy those items they try to bait and switch you. They pretend that the item is out of stock and then after 3-4 weeks they tell you the item isn't available anymore but you can magically buy it under a 'different' item number for - yep - you guessed it, a lot more money. When thinking about buying something from this company, or their sister company (onsale.com) proceed with caution.

After placing my order for $1,379.94 on April 13, received a computer that malfunctioned. It was picked up a week or so later. Finally got back May 19th. I asked them early on to take it back and simply give me another one. Now my question is have I lost over a month of the warranty on a computer that hasn't yet been available for my use? I shop & recommend Macmall. Good staff on the phone. But waiting over a month for a broken new computer to be picked up, repaired, and brought back is poor business at best. A bad business deal at worst.
