They sell a bunch of sensors and controls that work well with Indigo software (which they also sell), and the perceptiveautomation.com forum run by the Indigo folks is chock full of useful how-tos and even applescripts to pretty much do anything. Our contractors (lots of remodeling lately) have been amazed what we have done on the cheap with these tools and an old mac mini.
