"bought a asus p4pe mother board. board is defective. they don't take back broken parts for replacement. a month after after i ordered they went off line and allmost out of business. so i'm stuck with the bad board. I wrote Asus about the problem and they never write me back,so they are bad also.."
"I ordered 512MB of Kingston PC2700 RAM to build a computer for my roomate. It came, and I installed it, and as I was configuring the new system I realized there were only 256MB of memory. I quickly pulled the stick, and sure enough it was labeled 256MB, but the invoice clearly said 512. I called and called their customer service number periodically for three weeks, but their voice mail never was working. I sent an email to tech support, even though it was not a tech support issue, but I couldn't find a customer service email address on their website. The email bounced back two weeks later, undeliverable. I still have not heard from them months later, and now their website says "BuyMSTAR.com is unable to process orders at this time. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Avoid this company if neccesary, but it looks like someone finally caught up to them and they're gone. Hopefully."

A. Free shipping via USPS; I was billed 7.18 and shipped FedEx B. Product details indicated 1 year free updates ( Symantec AntiVirus); actual product received was for 90 days only. I have called and faxed several times during business hours and received no reply for over one week."
"Summary: Bad to non-existent customer service Couldn't give me my invoice number Non-responsive to inquiries about order status
STAY AWAY. Very dangerous. They actually turned off their phone system just to avoid having me leave more messages asking where my order was. I left various emails and phone numbers, only to never have them contact me, despite repeated promises to do so. At least, repeated promises when they answered the phone. After 45 minute waits. Not only that, but I ALWAYS talked to the same person- do they only have one employee answering the phones? The laws of statistics say 'yes'. Out of 6 successful contacts with them in the last 10 days, all 6 were with the same guy. The chances of that being coincidence are 2^6, or 1 in 64. That is a 1.56% chance. Very doubtful. Horribly run. This guy told me that my order status was on the desk of a superior, who wasn't in, and whose office was locked. He was NEVER in. Total runaround. STAY AWAY, THEY SUCK IMMENSELY."
"This Company is filing Bankrupcy. Any on a mass spree to defraud as many as they can on there way out!! Many Manufacturers have already picked up there products. BEWARE do not let them defraud you they have been a top notch company for a long time but are now defrauding distributors as well as customers. Dont let me say I told you so. Buy somwhere else or join the list for the atty general!"
"I bought an Asus p4s8x motherboard from Mstar, and it happened to be the cheapest price on pricewatch.com. I ordered it around 5pm and the order still went out that day. The box arrived here 2 days later. Quick service and good prices! Highly recommend and am completely satisfied!"
"I found that BuyMSTAR.com has prices that are within just a couple of bucks of the lowest prices listed on Pricewatch.com and Pricegrabber.com--their shipping prices are nice and cheap, too.
I found an awesome price on the Asus P4 motherboard I've been hunting for, and also purchased a brand-new P4 CPU. I'm happy!
UPDATE: Got the motherboard today, but have yet to see the CPU...should have been one package, but FedEx doesn't specify. Trying to call MStar right now--I've had them on speakerphone for a half an hour because I've been on hold the entire time. Passing time by working...hopefully the phone battery doesn't die on me. :P
Turned out they hadn't even shipped the CPU--I was billed and given a FedEx tracking number for a package that I was told contained two items, but only contained one. Nobody told me or emailed me anything about CPUs not being in stock, so they charged money to my card and assumed that it was okay to ship it at their discresion... The CSR told me that they would ship it to me on 2-day delivery at no charge... Well, okay.
NEW UPDATE: 2 days later...still haven't received the package, so I called MStar again. Turns out that they STILL haven't shipped my package!!!!! The CSR told me he'd ship it at 2-day delivery at no charge...again. So, my "2-day" delivery has actually taken more than a week. Extremely disappointed in the service with MStar. If anyone ordering from them is on a time constraint or just want to get your items soon--DO NOT BUY FROM MSTAR!!
Guess what? One of the CSRs contact me via phone and gave me my new FedEx tracking # for the CPU. I immediately wend to the FedEx website and found out that my package's estimated arrival date is in 5 days...not 2, like the CSR said he'd do...

"Hey, They're great! Their prices are damn competative! I've ordered alot thru these guys and I'd throw down a recommendation for anyone building a pc. They've got everything but cooling, so check out SVC (www.heatsinkstore.com). I get my orders real fast (2-3 days), but then again I don't live to far from SoCal. I've been real happy! Thanks and Peace!"
"Wow, horrible place to buy from. I bought a hard drive and it was bad right out of the box. Tried emailing, leaving messages, no response or reply. Also, if you call, be prepared to sit on hold for a while. I only got through 4 out of 5 times and that was after waiting on hold for at least 15 minutes. When I did get through, I told them I wanted a refund and they told me I "had" to give them a chance to replace the product. If I wanted a refund, I would be subject to a restocking fee so I said I wanted a replacement. Now I am on hold again, trying to see when they're going to ship my new item.
Bottom line, very slow shipment, non-existent customer service. Stay away, spend the extra money and go to circuit city.
UPDATE - They sent me a new item and IT WAS THE WRONG BRAND!!! On top of that, it was bad too. They packed a hard drive in 1 layer of bubble wrap with most of the bubbles popped and no peanuts both times. I sent the second bad drive back to them and I am disputing the charge with Amex and leaving a complaint at Pricewatch and the better business bureau.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!"
