"I ordered a Nikon Coolpix 5400, and like many other people, for the price and because i needed a camera after my A80 was stolen. I recieved a prompt e-mail the next day about my order and they asked me to call one of their representatives Fred. I called the day after that (thurs) and was redirected many times put on hold once and the line cut. So i tried again, the people who took calls could have been little more polite, but this time i got to Fred. I told him my order number and confirmed my address. Everything seemed done and before i hung up he said "by the way i noticed you didn't have batteries..." and such and such. i politely declined and he was not very pushy to sell. I asked him how long it would take to ship he replied "7-10 days". so i wait.
I waited about a week before i emailed them asking about my order. I recieved an email back saying my item is being "nationally allocated". Few days later I emailed them again and recieved an email saying that my item was out of stock and they were expecting a shipment in the next day (monday mar. 14th). I got a tracking number in my email on monday and recieved the camera on friday afternoon (end of my spring break). So in the end it took over 2 weeks to arrive. But i guess i can say i'm satisfied, assuming the rebate will come back, of course.
[EDIT] i find out that mpsuperstore is not a nikon authorized reseller. according to these reviews they are horrible with item returns, so i don't think i'll return it... i wonder if i will ever see my $200 again. =("

"Extremely deceptive practices. Almost a month after canceling and they haven't credited my money back to my account. Lied about product being "in stock", lied about shiping, pushy salesman told me that Samsung wouldn't honor their warranty because they are not a Samsung retailer, (after I already placed the order). There should be a controlling body monitoring sites such as this one."
"Warning! Warning! Warning! Do not purchase a TV from this online store. As others have reported, the order will not go through. Instead, you will receive an email (copied below) advising you that "additional information" is needed. If you call back, you will receive a rude and very high pressure sales pitch for the $600 extended warranty. You will also learn that the delivery ("by private truck") will take at least 3 to 4 weeks. This is despite the fact that the web site order form promised "7 -10 days." Izzy will then tell you that he can discount the price of the extended warranty by 25% and upgrade the delivery to "7-10 days." If you decide to decline his offer, he will agree to cancel your order, but not before telling you that "almost everyone" gets the warranty, complaining that he's wasted 30 minutes on the phone with you, and then finally mumbling "yeah, yeah, your order is cancelled." I will stay away from MPSuperstore forever.

"I puchased a new Olympus digital camera that in fact was a factory boxed "new" USA product. I own my own company and have a lot of shipping issue experience and this camera was packaged and shipped perfectly. Five Stars to MP Superstore."
"I ordered a NIKON ENEL 3 Battery from this company and was shipped a generic brand compatible battery. I tried to return it but got a fast talking manager who didn't even give me a chance to talk. The web site said nothing about it being a generic brand. It says "NIKON ENEL3 RECHARGEABLE BATTERY" in bold letters next to a photo of a real NIKON battery. The photo in the ad is of a NIKON brand battery with the word NIKON clearly visible on the battery. Nowhere on the website does it say that this is manufactured by any other company other that what it is advertised as on the web site. The manager said that it says on the website that the photos are for illustration only. I checked the entire website and found no such claim. Every time I tried to speak to the manager he would interrupt me or put me on hold. Finally I yelled at him to shut up and let me speak. The manager hung up on me without resolving the issue. I called him back but he would only give me an e-mail address to send a complaint to and to request return information.
The website where I ordered the battery from is:
http://store.yahoo.com/mpsuperbuys/en-el3.html
You will also notice this statement on the bottom of the ad:
Don't foget, MPSUPERBUYS offers the lowest price on the Nikon ENEL3 Rechargeable Battery and the largest selection of accessories for Nikon Batteries
Notice it does not say “Compatible with: Nikon EN-EL3” like it says on the package the battery was shipped in. It also does not say “SAKAR ENEL3 Replacement Battery” like it says on the invoice. "
"At the checkout stage (which is where my suspicians began), none of the so-called awards and verification links worked. Which I thought was quite strange. Like the Verisign seal (which means your credit card is processed securely) says, "Click to verify," it's a dead link. As are all the others for bizrate, cnet approved, etc...
I decided to do a site search to see if my product was even in stock, as I came to them from Froogle. After doing a search for the item, this site tried to, without my permission, put an ms-dos executable file on my computer! It was called searchit.exe, and there is absolutely no reason for any site to do that, with or without your permission. Unbelievable. Thankfully, my browser (firefox) caught it, and of course I said no way. And of course could not do a search!
DO NOT EVER use a site with dead verisign seal, or any site that tries to sneak a program onto your computer! Utterly amazed in this day and age that sites still do this. The other links at Froogle comparing merchants all pointed to this same sleazy merchant, but with different names. I canceled my ordered and looked for cookies it had left and deleted those. This company needs to be investigated by authorities."

"I will NEVER buy from this company again after having been blatantly lied to 3 times.
I orderd a digital camera and was assured that the camera was in stock. It apparently wasn't as a week later, I received an email (which looked like spam) telling me to call them. They blamed Olympus for taking a long time to send it to them. If you don't have the camera, why did you tell me it was "in stock?" I followed up this call with several others where I was told that "the item is on its way from Olympus," or that it was "in the final processing stages." Finally, after 4 wks, I cancelled my order.
Never an apology, never an attempt to make things better. This is an unprofessional company that does not deserve your business.
I wish I had done research before placing my order, because if I did, I would have seen that a LOT of other customers have had similarly bad experiences with MPSuperStore.
Shopping with Marine Park Superstore is NOT "like a walk in the park.""

"Needed a new digital camera and had been considering one of the newer 8 megapixel cameras... double checked the reviews and prices of the 5 megapixel cameras at dpreview.com and almost shocked to find a $174.95 after rebate price for a Nikon Coolpix 5400 5.1 MP listed. Followed the link to mpsuperstore.com to check details... $374.95 but has a $200 rebate from Nikon until the end of March... Add $14.95 for shipping and still a pretty sweet deal.
Before I ordered checked out their rating here at resellerratings and disappointed to see all the complaints. Almost chicken out, but noticed many negative reviews based on buyers changing their mind, trying to return item, credit card from out of US, etc. Also knew I wouldn't change my mind halfway thru and I'd turn down any offers of packages or upgrades at the dreaded phone call... so gave them a chance.
Ordered later on Monday (2/28/05) and received a prompt confirmation of order email. On Tuesday received an email listed as sent by "Email", asking me to call Kenny G. and which included "There is some additional information that is needed to complete the processing of your order." I called up the 800 number and extension listed for Kenny, and got him on the first try! I was very polite, but almost tense waiting for him to strong arm me as other reviewers had cautioned. He asked if this was my first digital camera... Me: "No, I'm very knowledgable about them." Kenny: "Where did you learn about our store/site?" Me: "Online at one of the review sites like, bizrate, nextag and resellerratings". I went on to mention, calmly and politely, that I had almost not ordered from them after I had read some of the negative reviews at these sites talking about strong selling of additional packages, etc. He calmly (and correctly) stated he hadn't try to push anything on me. Quick call, went very well.
Received email notice of shipping on Thursday (3/4/05) from "QuantumView" at UPS including a tracking number. Package arrived on the next Tuesday (3/8/05). Item was in perfect condition, properly packaged and appeared to be never opened and just how Nikon had packed it. Camera works great... just what I had expected.
I've sent off the rebate offer paperwork to Nikons rebate contact with UPC codes and such... It will be weeks until I get back anything so can't comment on that yet. Although shipping took a couple days longer than some other online merchants I've worked with, assuming everything goes well with the $200 rebate... I will be very happy with this purchase from mpsuperstore.com"
