"This is not a store for the average person to be buying from. They have incredible prices on the lower grade wood. If you are capable of installing yourself, and have the skill to do some fill work, I highly recommend it. You need to know what you want, and the customer service is non-existent, but their prices do make up for it.
If you are using an installer, I would recommend getting your wood from where they recommend. I am the son of a flooring installer, and many simply lack the skillset to deal with less than perfect planks. I'm not saying they are bad at their trade, simply that they deal in a different niche of it than lumber liquidators should be used for.
We just bought and installed the rustic red oak, and it is beautiful. I like wood that has some knots and character to it, so your mileage might vary."
"I purchased the Bellawood 3/8 by 3 select Brazilian Koa. I could not be more than happy with the product. I had this professionally installed so I cannot speak to the ease of installation. I can say that the product had very little waste. During the install process some of the boards tended to scratch easily. I kept a close eye during the install process so that I could be sure that those boards did not remain on the floor. The floor would have cost much more if I purchased this same floor at one of the major home supply stores. With Lumber Liquidators I was able to get the floor I wanted and still remain in budget my project. For others reading these reviews to figure out if you should buy from Lumber Liquidators or not, go for it. I am posting this review because I read so many negative reviews when contemplating my purchse as well. I wanted to let others know about a great experience. If I had to do it again, I would go back and purchase the same product again. "

The sales associate took me through step by step addressing my concerns and ultimately helped me decide on which wood I was going to install and even gave me a discount! I used the recommended installer who gave me a FREE QUOTE and gave me a direct price which was helpful for my budget. The installer was extremely informed so i chose to use him. 3 months later, my floors are still looking amazing. Thank you LL!!"
"February 2012. Our experience with Lumber Liquidatiors was very good. Ordered solid wood flooring in November 2011. Was delivered about two weeks late which was okay. Installation was scheduled for Jan 5, 2012. Installation was completed in two days. Flooring is beautiful. From our experience, we have nothing but good things to say about Lumber Liquidators."
"Quality of Bellawood Hickory exceeded our expectations. Alas, we took the local outlet's recommendation for an installer. What a bunch of amateurs. We're still removing glue from the floor. And the hickory trim (shoe molding) is all mangled and will need to be replaced along with existing floor moldings that were knocked loose."
"It wasn't until after we ordered 3000 sq ft of Tobacco Road Acacia solid hardwood that we began reading all the horror stories about LL. However, I will now say that none of them came true for us -- The manager at Store #1051 (Santa Ana, CA) was very helpful, accommodating and willing to negotiate. All three pallets were delivered within two weeks and the wood is beautiful (it might be nice if there were more longer pieces per box, but not a big deal). I will say, however, that the installer that LL recommended gave an extraordinarily high estimate and we went with a very reputable and more reasonable private contractor. Fortunately, we didn't have any of the problems others seem to experience -- maybe we got lucky or maybe the company is coming around."
"I got the deram home point loma mahogany 8mm laminate flooring. A frined that we have has put liminate flooring down in his whole house.he said he would come and help get the flooring stared for us he said it would not take long to put it down. we got stared on the flooring it took us 5 hours just to get the frist 3 rolls of flooring it keep pop out of place and we would have to go back and pop it back end. after that it went a little better so fair we have put in 327 feet but I love the floor the way it in looking and the tools you get to do the flooring is not any good the little block of wood comes a part befour you get the frist 8 rolls down and the pull bar for get it and when you ask for a kit to instell the flooring it a joke. what you get and what you paid for it"
"With out a doubt the worst company in the world to do business with. Please investigate this company before doing business with them I ordered a floor on 6/17/04, they said it would take 4 weeks for it to come in. They called on 8/13 & said it was in. When I went down there they tried to switch floors on me. They claimed I called them from Sea World on my daughters birthday and changed the order!! It was horrible!! The owners brother was rude nasty and came after me. I will never do business with them again."
