Logos is a really great company. Even so, I've had some issues with them. One of my main pet peeves is that they rarely (if ever-- and I don't really count that 'Christmas special') have any good sales on individual books. This often keeps me from buying anything, and I'm sure that in the future, I'll be very tempted to buy the print edition of a book if it's any cheaper (or even the same price) as the Logos edition.
I had an issue with an upgrade price where I was previously told one thing and actually offered another once Logos 4 came out, but Logos was willing to work with me on that. I really appreciate their working especially hard to keep me happy with my purchase.
The mac side of Logos 4 still far from complete, but these things take time and I can use Logos 4 on windows until the Mac side works.
All in all, Logos 4 is good software and Logos is a good company. Their software undoubtedly helps many people to study the Scriptures in depth. I really wish they had more sales on individual books, though. They'd probably sell a lot more that way, too! It seems like it'd be a good company move... :)
Also - be careful to read the EULA before making your purchase. They say Logos is for a single person to use. So be careful not to show Logos to any of your friends or family and let them use it, or you're in violation of your license agreement. This review was modified by its author, davenporter, on

After fighting with version 4 for the last few days, including hours spent watching videos and searching forums, I am very disappointed with this version, and deeply regret the upgrade. Here is what I have found so far, and why I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this product:
There is no way to control the library resources. I don’t need, or want all the resources I have purchased over the years to consume space on my hard drive. With this new version I now have gigs of space taken up by books that I don’t need, or use.
I am unable to share Logos with other users on my computer. My wife also uses this, and now she can’t use it when logged on with her profile. I see that your new end user agreement spells this out, which I not only think is ridiculous, but also deceitful. Just as I have a physical bookshelf in my house that both me and my wife use, we should be able to use these books on our shared computer. Also in regards to my first point you not only require me and my wife to purchase separate licenses, but with us sharing a computer you require us to use up precious hard drive space with multiple copies of the resources.
The search function doesn’t work right. In version 3 for instance I search for the topic of Baptism and I get 208 hits, version 4 only finds 1 hit under topics (version 4 does find over 11,000 hits in my library, but that is almost useless).
Version 4 seems to run much slower, especially on startup.
It is more cumbersome to insert scripture into my Word docs.
At this point I feel like I wasted my money, which is very hard to come by these days, and wish there was some way I could trade in Logos and all the resources I have purchased over the years, just as I do with physical books, and use that money to get one of the better products made by one of thier competitors.

Only superlatives! At risk of triteness(?), they exemplify the principles and teachings of the very product they sell. They are what they sell - GOD's word in all forms, shapes, and fashions - but the truth of his WORD never changes.

Took 4 weeks to get receive my order. After 3 weeks, I sent an email asking about it, and I got back an automated "We're too busy right now" reply. My order came a week later with no explanations.
Honestly, it would have just been faster to walk to WA to pick it up myself.

I can't wait to incorporate the use of this software in my personal bible study. There seems to be many enthusiastic Logos users. When I called the customer service line with a question, I was greeted very warmly.

Logos is always fast, professional, and trustworthy. I purchased a new commentary set and had the confirmation e-mail and download available before I got off the phone. Thank you!

I purchased LOGOS 4 Scholars Silver Package on January 9, 2010 and it only took about a week for me to upgrade to the Platinum edition because the content is just so valuable. I can see there was and is a lot of thought put into this program. I now own over 1100 books for a fraction of what it would cost (not to mention the time to sift through all the material to find what I'm looking for) if I were to purchase them all individually. LOGOS provided me with great support and offers an interest free monthly payment plan which makes it incredibly affordable. Instead of buying a TV with no interest, I got a Bible program that I will be able to use for a long, long time. Great Product, Great Service, Great Support. Thanks, Logos.

I have been purchasing from Logos for a number of years. They are a God-centered company. The people are pleasant, courteous, and committed to serving their customers. You can rest assured that products will be as advertized. (Software from the best companies still may have bugs. Logos is dedicated to fixing them.) Shipped materials are appropriately packaged and downloads can be trusted. Addendum: I have received the product and it is as advertized. I am already using it--wonderful. Logos has given me excellent support, especially in light of being a Mac owner and their shift to version 4. I run both version 3 & 4 and everything works very well. I especially appreciate the books that can be downloaded for immediate use. This greatly helps with special projects that come along. Thank you, Logos.

Logos software is the ultimate for Bible study. There is no comparison with other Bible software.
Everything that a layperson or those that are seasoned Bible students/teacher's can need is Logos software.
Logos stands by their products whether software or assorted items for Logos users.
I once had a broken item shipped to me; I called Logos customer service and told of the broken items, and was lady was very professional; A replacement was sent to me "overnight" to my surprise and not 5-10 business days.
Logogs is the only software for serious and lay Bible scholars.

i just ordered the upgrade to my current Logos 3 software, so I will write a review after I receive the upgrade and work with it a while. But a big complaint I have about Logos is that I bought it almost a year ago. At the time, I was told by a customer service person that a lot of work was being put into the mac version (the one I have) and that it was considered as important to the company as the windows version. But it seems to me that the mac version is almost an afterthought and the company works harder on the windows version. An example is that there are few tutorials for the mac version and there are no Camp Logos for mac users, which is a shame. Because of this, I have regretted not trying Accordance. But I am hopeful this problem will change. The resources available on Logos are very impressive.

I've been a satisfied customer of Logos/Libronix Bible software for almost a decade. I have never been disappointed in any of thier products, nor their cooperation in sorting out any problems. They have helped me to put my library on both of my laptops, so my "travel" laptop has all the information that my "primary" laptop has. That has been invaluable for me since I do travel a lot. I appreciate the thoroughness of their tutorial products as well. I've never even been tempted to try any other digital library content.

My first Logos application was on floppy disks. I have continually updated since then and the quality of Logos in every aspect has always been great. I live in Australia, so contact has always been via E-mail and the responses to my requests for help and information has been of the highest order.
We plan on moving to Bellingham in 2010 and even my simple request for general information produced the usual friendly service.
I just placed an order for Logos 4 for Mac after conducting research and checking the Logos web site. From what I have experienced to date, this is the best yet and I heartily commend Logos.
Well done!

Logos is unbelievably great at not only putting out good products but having exceptional customer service, too.
I haven't loaded my Logos software for 3 years... I found my old 'license' file and used it with zero problems. Then I realized I was missing some discs, so I called Customer Support. They sent me a DVD with all the software I had ever purchased (and a ton of other books should I choose to unlock them) at no charge and with no goofy questions.
Note: I have moved 3 times since I last installed Logos - they didn't have any 'issues' with me not living where I had purchased the product (as other software companies have).
I LOVE having Logos software, I LOVE being Logos customer, too! This review was modified by its author, davidm777, on

I have found Logos software to be too cumbersome to use, especially the continual problem with my resources locking without any way to unlock them. Customer service has become unresponsive, too. The product would be a good one if it didn't have such poor usability.
