"Ordered "goods" through this site. Only received half of my order so I emailed LS to follow-up. They made me wait over a week with repeated emails that they were checking into it for me. Than send me an email saying that I should follow-up with the company. This is absurd. I didn't order through a different company. I ordered through LS and they are the ones who took my money. And so far I am paying twice the cost of what I have received! I ran into a similar issue with a Groupon order a few months ago. Groupon asked that I wait for the deal to close, than when I still didn't get the missing part of the order promptly refunded my money. Absolutely no runaround. I know who I will- and WON'T- be dealing with in the future."

"Livingsocial sold me a voucher for snapfish, snapfish ate it up before I could buy anything (apparently because I cleared my shopping cart to start over), then both snapfish and livingsocial pointed fingers at each other. Had to go to the credit card company to get my money back."

"They are a bunch of crooks and will do anything to try and get out of giving a refund! I booked a beauty treatment and the supplier had booked it in for an hour later than I had booked it for. It was the last day of the offer and we agreed between ourselves that I would not receive the treatment and the supplier would ask Living Social to refund me. They did this right away and when I spoke to Living Social about it they denied the supplier had contacted them and asked me to prove it! I contacted the supplier and she spoke to them again and asked them to give me a full refund. The outcome was (after various very heated phone calls and several emails) that Living Social refused point blank to refund me as the offer had expired!! Their customer service is absolute rubbish and I would recommend that people go to other discount sites such as KGB, Groupon and Wowcher - all of whom have excellent customer service and would all have given a refund where a merchant cannot honour an offer."

"I purchased a coupon for a massage thru LivingSocial May, 2012 with an expiration date of 2/13/13. I called the service provider the week prior to the expiration. I was told she wasn't taking anymore appts for that coupon but was extending it (for a month thru Mar and then thru April) and would put me on a waiting list. 3 months later she has never called me with an opening. I called her a number of times but she would never book me out into the future. I sent the details to Living Social but they will not refund my money even after providing me a letter where they had told the owner she should honor the promotional value.
Much better customer service from Groupon, SuperDeal, AmazonLocal and PoshBirmingham. I will not do busines with Living Social again. $35 down the drain."

"People do not waste your time buying anything from this company. I purchase a voucher to have my carpet cleaned by a company by the name of Dirty Floors in Prembine Pines, FL. The company cancelled and did 2 no shows. I reached out to Living Social. They refused to give me a refund becasue it was outisde the 7 days. Mind u I have tried to resolve this issue with this company called Dirty Floors in Prembine Pines, FL. The owner name is David Wray. If you have recently purchased a voucher to clean you floors from this company good luck getting them to show up. In addition, Living Social call center John Paul has forced me to use my $35.00 on Deal Bucks or gift it. People when you work for something you shouldn't be forced to use your hard earn money on something else. I will not ever do business with this company. THEY ARE ONLY OUT TO MAKE MONEY AND NOTHING ESLE."
"Living Social introduced to a company called Renov8 North West. They botched up a job and the cost to rectify the issue = £1,195! Living Social are not interested in resolving the issue as it it outside their timescales. Absolute scam!"
"My Fiance' and I each purchased a Livingsocial voucher on December 4th 2012 for the service of a party boat from Waikiki Ocean Club, a company based in Hawaii. So we planned a trip to Hawaii (We live in California) and scheduled activities for the week of our trip, one of which was to use our LivingSocial voucher, so we called months in advance and made reservations for Saturday, March 16th at 9:30AM. The night before our scheduled boat trip we called to verify our reservation, and they were "Ready for us in the morning" So we woke up early, and walked 4 miles to the boat dock where the Waikiki Ocean Club has a dingy that shuttles customers to the main party boat. We arrived at 9:00AM and diligently looked for the boat, but we could not find it. We called Waikiki Ocean Club at 9:25AM asking the location of the dingy, and the woman informed us that the ship was cancelled and it wasn't going out that day. The weather was 75+ degrees Farenheit all day with no clouds, but she insisted it was for weather. We were upset because if the boat was cancelled, why were they not even going to tell us? We demanded a refund, and the woman said it would be no problem, but unfortunately the voucher for living social was already checked off in their system as "Redeemed" even though we had not used them. (Beware many service providers redeem your voucher when reservations are made, not when you actually use the voucher) and because it was already marked as redeemed she would have to wait a few days to refund us. Fine, no problem. The next day we fly back to California, and we wait for a week for our refund, nothing, we call Waikiki Ocean club, no answer. Apparently they have been sold to another company, and are avoiding phone calls. So we call living social, and explain the situation, and the representative assures us that it frequently happens that vouchers get falsely redeemed even when no service has been rendered, and it should be no problem to get us a refund. After a week of inaction we call again, and they claim they want to try and get a hold of the company before they refund us. They have similar trouble getting a hold of a live person, and when I call LivingSocial they just explain they need to verify with Waikiki Ocean Club that we haven't been on the trip, and they want to ask them to Un-Redeem the voucher before they give a refund. After another week of inaction, We call LivingSocial, and they also have been unable to contact anyone, and they suggest that we should contact Waikiki Ocean Club. Obviously they are pushing the ball out of their court to a non-existant player to steal our money. If they can't get a hold of anyone, why would I be able to? Fast forward to April 9, and We contact LivingSocial again, explaining the situation, they suggest we try to get ahold of them, and ask for the time and date our reservation was for, so I reply with the information, and today (April 11, 2013) LivingSocial replies with "Hi, We're sorry your deal for Waikiki Ocean Club didn't work out for you, and we understand you'd like your voucher to be refunded. We just need to be able to confirm with Waikiki Ocean Club first and unfortunately weren't able to. According to the weather report for that day we are unable to extend you a credit card refund or Deal Bucks credit and it is outside of our refund policy. You can also get more information on our refund policy here: Can I get a refund? If you still have questions, please reply to this email. We're happy to help." So we are out $180 and hours of wasted time on the phone with LivingSocials incompetent customer service. They refuse to hold any accountability and their system enables fallacious companies to sell hundreds of vouchers at whatever price, and as long as the "Service" requires scheduling outside of LivingSocial's 30 day return window, the customer is left empty handed. The Coupon bonanza is a dying business, but it's criminal how negligent and unchecked the business model that LivingSocial adheres to, Anyone can create a fictitious business and steal thousands of dollars, while living social takes a cut of the stolen funds. It's shameful and LivingSocial is literally playing the part of a pimp."
"This is the worst site ever...I bought a limo ride for 179, from comfortable transportation. On the day that i was suppose to get my ride the dude never showed, he said that the voucher was good for 4 months and that i could reschedule i bought it in august and it was suppose to last through December however i was having an issue with the guy with the limo company, he never would set up a time or except my calls, I called living social and asked could i have a refund and they told me no because the voucher was till valid and the limo business was not closed. The guy refused to take me on my ride and i told living social that, they still refused to give me my money back because they contacted the guy and he said he is willing to give me the ride. Long story short he never gave me ride and living social never returned my money period despite the problem that i was having with the guy... it was the worst experience ever..."
"Got a voucher for a deal on Living Social....Placed an order with Keycharger.com almost 2 months ago and no one will reply to me or do anything about me not getting my order. Living Social is rude, full of moronic agents who will not help you AT ALL. I have had to file a complaint with the BBB and a dispute with PayPal. This is a ONE MAN OPERATION that sold literally thousands of these things and cannot fulfill them. Living Social is not screening the people they sell for and taking no responsibility for anything they sell. BEWARE."
"I purchased a voucher from Living Social and after numerous attempts to contact the vendor, was unable to book. I contacted Living Social who told me to keep trying!! After numerous more attempts and then finally getting someone who knew nothing about the company I again contacted Living Social and asked for a refund. They said I had entered a legal contract and a refund would not be forthcoming. They then offered to book for me. I said "OK", however the voucher has now expired and I'm still waiting for their response. Don't use them!! Customer services is non existant."
"I purchased a 1 hour Segway Experience with a company called Can You Experience which expires on 14th February but when I tried to book today (7th February)they have told me there is no availability and the voucher will not be honoured or refunded. This was a Christmas present for my daughter and Can You Experience and Living Social have totally ruined it. Beware and don't deal with either of these companies."

"They took away my $25!! I have a $25 credit on living social that expire on Feb. 4. When I try to use it on Feb. 4, it said says credit expired. Their explanation is that when they mean expire on Feb. 4, it can expire any time on Feb. 4. So when I try to use it, it's the time that they decide to take away my credit and they are not give it back! This is completely a ripoff."
"It was a horrible experience with these guys. I had some deal bucks with them which expire on a particular date. Any sane mind will think that day is the last day one can use it. But they say that they expire on that day and cannot be used. They expire at 12 AM on that day. They should have clearly mentioned it as the previous day. Spoke with the CC but no help, very poor customer service."
"Living Social did not try to help (as advertised) when I could not track or get a reply from the company I purchased the voucher for. They simply refunded my voucher value and now I'm stuck with a $20 shipping charge. Beware"
