reply posted Mar-19-2013 “Dear Customer,
You placed your order with us on January 16th, 2012 and on March 15th, 2013 you wanted a refund of your money. That is 60 days after you ordered from us. You must have downloaded a different version of the software from Microsoft and thats why it didn't work. Our Policies page states very clearly our return policy. You can review it here if you would like: http://www.littlesoftshop.com/policies/. It states,
"Only Unopened packaged software is returnable up to 30 days from placing your order. Opened, written-on, or installed software is not returnable. There are NO returns on downloaded software."
When we send a customer a legitimate serial key and you install it you have given up your ability to return the product. If we allowed that, there would be nothing preventing someone from buying the software key, downloading and installing the software, and then asking for a refund. They could still keep using the software without paying for it at that point. I am sorry we weren't more clear about this when you asked, but thats the reason we can't issue a refund. We wish you a great day.
Update - After your update to your comment we wanted to replay to point out that our policy makes it clear that we don't accept returns on downloaded/downloadable software. The fact that you ordered downloadable software from us as was explained above is why we can't process a refund, not to mention that it was two months later that you contacted us. Also, you don't loose everything when you uninstall Microsoft Office. Your documents all stay in tact and unchanged. It is just the program you are uninstalling. You could have chosen to remove the version of Microsoft Office that you installed and simply downloaded the one we provided you and the serial key would have worked fine and your work .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx etc would have opened fine. That is still the best solution since you have paid for a serial key and should use it so it doesn't go to waste.”
"I purchased Office Pro 2010 Download in Jan 2013. I was able to complete the purchase and download quickly and simply. However, I did not have time to actually install on my system for a couple months (due to learning curve time to go from Office 2003 to 2010 - wanted to wait until tax season was over). When I did try to extract the ZIP file, it was corrupt. When I tried to contact the company, no one answered calls or emails for days...and, it turns out their site had been hacked. After about 5 days, someone did contact me and they were able to get me a new download file which has successfully downloaded and installed. So, some of my 3-star ratings are due to my particular circumstance amidst their website challenges - not the normal course of business for them. AND, somewhat self inflicted since I did not immediately extract and install the downloaded file to discover the corruption earlier. So, I would recommend this company. They have followed through with integrity to make sure my order was tended to properly.
