"HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered on January, 2 dresses from them. The dresses did not fit me and I returned them. They were quick to inform me that they only refund partially on the clothing, however, til this day have not received my refund. I have been writing over and over inquiries through their site, since there is no other way to talk to them, and I keep getting no real response on why I still have not gotten my money back. There was once an e-mail that I received stating I would get my refund in 3-5 days and it's already been 2 weeks since. I will not ever buy from them. They are pretty dishonest. "

Again, My order total was $59.78. My Account was charged $97.59 by lightingthebox Global collections. I am irritated and further alarmed to learn that you are "unaware" of the additonal charges as they have shown up on my account.

Please research your records as well as my account and provide refund for the additional charges.

If I have not received a refund within 3 business days I will contact Better Busines Bureau and/or consult my attorney for additional support to ensure that no other charges are made to my account. I have been a victim of Identity theft which makes this a very sensitive issue for me; therefore, i take activity such as this extremely seriously.

Thank you in advance for handling this matter promptly and effectively bringing forth a resolve.





Thanks for responding to my shipping issue via email. I noticed that your response on the ratings site addressed the issue of my account being overcharged; however, you failed to address this when responding directly to me. Please refund the overcharged amount to my account immediately. Just a reminder, the cost of my purchase was $58 and i was charged $98.

A strong suggestion would be to provide a contact number for your business as this would eliminate A LOT of headache for your patrons as well as your business. I will check my account daily to ensure that the monies are refunded in a timely manner. Thank you in advance.






This is my first time using this website. Initially, I was impressed. At this time I am concerned about my dress being delivered on time and alarmed that my account was debited $98.00 vs $58 for my purchase order. My order was made on 3/16/12 to include express shipping(3-5days). To date, 3/27/12, i have yet to receive my purchase. After scanning the website at length several times in search of a number, I realized that they have provided no means of contacting them aside from email. After attempting to contact them via email several times, i learned that my correspondence would not go through. This alarmed me even more which led to me checking the reviews. From the reviews I've learned that several individuals are struggling with the same concerns. I'll stop here and say I will be sure to read at least 3pgs of reviews before making another purchase on any other website(period). I've noticed the timeframes on complaints and i am most certainly NOT going to use this site again. I am looking however looking forward to a representative responding to my request of refunding my account the addtional $30+ charged to my account and I would like to recieve a follow up regarding the ETA of my purchase. Please look through at least 3 pages of reviews before making a purchase. At this time I am uncertain if this site is legitamite. If i have not received a response within 2 business days I will contact Better Business Bureau as well as seek legal advise before more fees or charges are made to my account without my authorization. For the record, i feel unsafe having used this site as my account may have been compromised. "

"I just received some products from the website, and they fit and look much cheaper than what is portrayed on the website. They are also sized like Chinese clothing - that is, expect a Large to fit like a Small, a Medium like an Extra Small, etc. The only clothes that do not fit this rule are the ones styled to be "loose," in which case the opposite applies (Large fits like an Extra Large, etc). The necklaces I ordered also look like cheap trinket jewelry. The pictures on the website are of the clothes at their MOST FLATTERING angle. If you imagine the worst case scenario, that's what you're going to get.

I am going to try to get my items returned, but I have read online that most people have difficulty doing this, so I'm rather nervous. It didn't help that when I contacted the presales customer service, she gave me a very scripted response and wouldn't help me out with my RMA. I will post another review about how the return process turned out. Unless the customer service is EXCELLENT regarding my return, I am unlikely to buy from this website again or to recommend that others buy from it in the future."

"Oh man, I can't even begin to describe my frustration with this "company"!

First of all, don't ever plan on calling them because the number they give on their website goes to NO ONE! No one will answer, no matter what day or time you call. Their online representatives are a total joke. It's only to give the illusion that someone actually cares about your problem...and unless you don't know how to navigate around the site, they are totally useless. I asked a rep named "Jason" why no one answers their phone. He said, "It's nite in China." That's great and all, but your website states that it goes by EST, not China time. And when I did call at a time that was 10am in China, guess what, STILL no answer! A legitimate company would have customer service available by phone to be able to address problems directly. This is a HUGE RED FLAG in my book.

The dress I ordered is very nice, except that it's not the measurements they stated on their website! The size chart on my invoice is COMPLETELY different than the size chart on their website. This is their problem, not mine! I ordered a size according to the chart they have up on their website and they send me something different in my invoice. Why are there two size charts floating around there? A customer orders one thing and you send them something else...yet somehow it's my fault for not measuring correctly? My measurements were correct according to the size chart on your website, not the size chart in my invoice. There is a difference of 2", 5", and 2" inches!

They pretty much told me that there is nothing that they can do about it...that I need to order a "custom size" dress. From the other reviews, it doesn't sound like they get that right either!"

"I ordered a white prom dress on april 30 with 3-5 day shipping. my prom was on may 8 so that should have left plenty of time. they did not ship the dress until JUNE 4, 36 days after i ordered it. i then received it 3 days later, so the shipping company had nothing to do with it. the whole process took almost 40 days. i ended up going emergency pom dress shopping the day of. no one told me that processing could take up to 22 days. Either way in later emails in june i was told that the whole process could take 33 days, and in fact it took a week over that. there was an address mishap because i no longer live at the place that it was supposed to go so i didnt have it in my handss until more than seven days later. this meant that i was out of the window for returns. now i am stuck with a dress that is too small that i cant return or exchange.i regret doing business with this company and cannot recommend it. i suggest that people be very careful. "

"Do not buy from this company-I purchased a notebook for my son for x-mas, the thing never worked, got stuck, would shut down, could not access internet. I contacted the company and requested a return authorization, the company has had the item for over 2 months and still have not received my refund, I am requesting that my bank force the credit. Stay Away!! An update I requested a refund from Light in the Box, was told they would return my money that was 2 months ago even though they sent me an e-mail indicating the notebook was returned and received they have not returned my money. I contacted my bank and have had them start an investigation and reverse the charge, again stay away from this company."

"I purchased a custom made bridesmaids dress from light in the box as did two other bridesmaids. When I recieved my dress it not only looked different from the dress in the picture, but was made out of layers of material that were so thick we dubbed it the 'snow suit'. The measurements were all off and to top it all off the dress came with a small rip in the hemline. The other bridesmaids dresses turned out all right, however they were also made out of the ridiculously thick material as well. I would not purchase items from light in the box again, and was extremely disapointed in the service. May 21/2010 I just recieved LITB response to my review, and what I failed to mention before was I did request a refund for my dress, complete with pictures of the dress which it can clearly be seen that the dress is not fitted properly, includes a picture of the tear, and shows the difference in the dress from the advertised picture. After emailing back dozens of times, LITB's response.......a big fat no. Apparently defective, poorly finished, ill fitting product is a standard for this company. "

"i had made an order on 28th of march..still waiting for reply..really i wanna know whats wrong with my mum's dress and shoes!!!my sister is getting married and we paid 200euro for nothing?we were willing to buy all we need for the wedding ceremony.so cool items, but now we are all dissatisfied.what is the problem mrs angelie?why this behaviour?"

"I ordered a watch phone which was my first order from Lightinthebox.com. It's awesome as i am writing this review right now, it's on my wrist. however The Lightinthebox is wonderful website,honor,and you can really trust them. the other thing that makes me feel proud of this website is when i send them an email they replied right away and i received my order with in 7days which is amazing. i would tell other people this website is the only web that you can trust believe me my watch phone is really working much better than my cell phon. Lightinthebox.com is the best."

"I ordered my dress March 9, 2010, and paid extra for expedited shipping. Why is it that my dress is not going to be shipped out until March 28th? This is my second order from this company, and I am thoroughly disappointed!! The reason for my ordering the dress on the ninth, was because I have a wedding that I'm in on March 27th. My payment was confirmed received March 11th, and, as per their website, my dress was to be received within 5 to 7 buisness days with my payment for expedited shipment. Now Their telling me that my dress is not going to be shipped out until March 28th, which is a full day after I need it?! This is absolutely unacceptable. I couldn't get anyone in customer service to contact me, via telephone regarding my order. Again this was the second order. The first dress I returned because of the size, and I had to pay $35 just to ship it back, and I_m still waiting for my refund from the return. So that's $113, plus $35 to ship it back, then $124 including expedited shipping. I am not only without the purchase price, but also a dress for my brother's wedding. If they can't have my dress here by Monday, March 22, 2010, this will serve as cancellation of my order, and demand for refund. My level of disappointment with this process is the reason I will no longer order anything from this company, because of my dissatisfaction with your company.
