"If you made it through the other reviews and still have any question if you should order from these guys, don't. I ordered a Canon Rebel XSI, ordered a battery and charger and an extended service plan. I never received the battery and charger and was sent the wrong service plan. These issues are still "open", but I don't think I'll send back the camera because I already don't trust them. The service plan will probably not be activated, because I don't trust sending them anything. The only thing that was positive about the experience is that the salesperson tried a bit too hard to discount all he said he was sending, and the "package" was priced less than what the camera itself sells for at best-buy. He was probably fired for not selling me something above best buy prices. "

"Where do I begin? My mother purchased a Christmas gift for me just after black Friday through this company: a Nikon D80 and all the overpriced unnecessary bells and whistles, two “introductory” lenses, and a questionable 5 year extended service plan that does not cover what she was told it covered (free cleanings and maintenance at any camera repair store of my choice). What I wanted was the Canon 50d without the bells and whistles and two high grade lenses from B&H photo video. Unfortunately, Lenses n More aka 1 Way Photo, J & V, Inc, Jack Silver Photo is a BBB nightmare-http://search.newyork.bbb.org/reports.aspx?pid=44&page=1&id=96503) have no holiday return/exchange policy.

While I realized that a return was out of the question I was hoping for an exchange, if not the camera, then at least the lenses. While I informed them via email that I was willing to spend significantly more, they did not reply. In fact, they did not reply to any of my emails and ironically, customer service is never open when I call. The salesmen can do nothing to assist me other than to inform me that I need to call them back when customer service is open which may or may not be in an hour or so. I am now attempting to return the extended service plan at a prorated amount, as permitted by law New York law, but the problem is that since they did not itemize the invoice, they have the opportunity to tell me that they only charged $1 for it. We’ll see how it goes as I am trying to get an itemized invoice first. I will keep you all posted.

"Buyer Beware,
These guys are the worst. They will make every attempt to separate you from your money. There is no way to get a deal or even purchase anything from Lenses N More for less than retail. You actually will end up spending a great deal more. The return policy will cost you even more. If you have already placed your order and the money has left your account its too late. I have learned an important and expensive lesson. If it seems like its
too good to be true, then it isn't.
Up Date
After several calls to customer service I got someone.
The customer service person I spoke to was professional and courteous. I asked to get an RMA # to make a return.
He offered filters, then a further discount. I said no thanks and told him the problems I had with the truthfulness of their sales staff. Their representation of goods, the bait & switch, and price gouging. Mentioned to him about the reviews on this site.
He said 'Lenses n More' would waive the restocking.
tbc?

"Do not buy from this store!
I ordered a Canon EOS 50D and two lenses over the web. They insisted I call to confirm the order before they placed it. Among other things they told me the camera did not come with a battery or charger. The price doubled quickly and then the sells person switched to Sigma lenses. I told him to cancel my order at which time he said there would be a $650.00 cancellation charge.

"PLEASE, PLEASE don't buy anything from these criminals. YOU WILL GET SCREWED. I thought I was so clever and ordered a USA camera body and a canon grip. What I got was a grey market body with a useless warrenty and a POS grip the cost me 160.00 and retails for 49.00.

You will never beat this place of garbage. Richard at ext 225 swore to me he didnt know that the non US body was shipped and will call me to fix it. Right. I am going to take my lumps and not send back the camera because if I do now this pile of trash has my money and the camera!

Naturally, I am going to contest this with my credit card company and I have all of the evidence to make my case.

So please learn from all of the posts and DO NOT EVEN THINK YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU ORDERED.

If it is too good to be true, it is.

"All I wanted was a Nikon D90 with a 18-200mm lens. listed for about 1300. After they requested I call and provide additional information about my CC, (which just added to the shadyness) adding chargers and batteries that SHOULD and usually are included in other kits, my bill as almost 2000. I tried to cancel, however, they do not accept cancelation via, email. . . you have to call. Convenient for them, they are not during their normal business hours + EVERY OPTION on their automated answering service is INVALID! including Customer Service. The only way to talk to anyone is using an extension from confirming your order and getting screwed with additional charges, and even then, you are not guaranteed to reach anybody. Every hour on the hour 4 times. no answer and no response via voicemail. on the 5th try, I finally got someone. If you decide to cancel, they want to charge you a 15% restocking fee + the insurance on shipping. . . which in my case was around $400. . . ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? So you are SKREWED either way. They offered an additional discount to pacify me and keep my order. DO NOT do business with these people, they are shiesty and underhanded. I'm paying for my mistake."

"After reading this report and the ripoff report I was no longer excited to purchase from Lenses and More. I called the company 10-26-08 and spoke with Robert at ext226, He was polite and continued saying it comes with what Nikon sends us "D90". Still confused after the call to what I was actually getting, I decided to go on line and check out a reputable buiness named Onecall who I have purchased from with good experiences, I took the info that they and others listed as to what actually comes in the Nikon sealed box and I checked the listed accesories against what Lenses n More listed. I called Robert back and went line item for line item, Robert tryed his best to squirm, but ultimately came clean that the battery they provided was not rechargeable, and no battery charger comes with the camera, this would cost an extra $200.00 depending on the charger choosen. So what this company does is take out manufacture needed accessories and then charge extra for them, this ultimately gets them back to what others would charge from the get go. It is up to you if you want to purchase from them just make sure you are getting what you expect. Personally I feel a company with these tactics are not looking out for we the customers. I own a buisness and would never treat my customer base with such ill intentions so beware!!!! To bad because I would have ordered it had they been aboveboard."

"To save your time on reading, here is a rundown.
Price: End result rediculously high above the posted price.
Additional features: UV filter purchased later, at discount, does not work with listed camera. Don't bother buying any add-ons from this company, if you're willing to go with them at all. I don't advise it.
Customer service reps. professional, even though they knew I was pissed.
Delivery time: good.
The order had to be confirmed via phone, and the lower $409 price all of a sudden morphed into a $588 pricetag, after purchase of a polarizing filter and battery/charger (not with original camera). On average, the camera sells for $499 on-line. The sales rep. said these extra items were on sale. How the original price was raised so much is beyond me.
In addition, the uv filter is not usable with the Powershot digicam.
Not happy."
