Ordered a hard drive for my computer and on the page it listed that they had 15 left in stock. A few days later I get an email stating the following...
Thank you again for shopping at Lagoom.com!
We have to cancel your order because the product ordered is now on allocation and not likely to be fulfilled soon as reported by our supplier. Please let us know what your requirements are so we may help you find a suitable replacement. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope this have reached you in a timely manner to minimize your trouble.
So basically I was lied to about them having 15 in stock and this is their way out. I guess I will have to stick with trusty dependable newegg.

Great company, I made my purchase on 2/22/09 and received a phone call to verify that my new address was correct. They also setup my parts for signature delivery to protect me against any theft/issues that I may have had. Thank you for a perfect transaction yet again!!!

15% restocking fee is ridiculous. To be charged 15% on an un-opened product you just received and have to send back is plain ridiculous. I was charged $132.00 on an product still sealed in the shipping package.
Their justification for this fee is that they have to ship the product back to the manufacturer and pay a fee and that's why they charge 15%. To me it would make perfect sense to keep that un-opened product in their own warehouse so they don't have to charge the 15% restocking fee to their customers.
It seems to me like this is a shady practice because I can't figure out a legitimate reason to justify this type of fee especially when I wanted to turn around and invest that money right back into their company.
So in general I would be willing to pay more for a product provided I would be guaranteed better customer service.

Dear customer, charging 15% restocking fee for any return item, regardless of open/unopened box, is our company policy. Based on our record, we waived the restocking fee once on your first return 2 weeks ago as an exception. Therefore, we can't make another exception again on your second return.
Thank you! |

Saw this item for three times the price in Skymall.com. Promptly received the merchandise. I am so pleased that I am ordering one for my daughter.

I'm getting components to build a computer and Lagoom.com had a few compelling items on my list though I ended up with only the computer case ordered. I ordered from Lagoom because the shipping from Freemont, CA to my Oregon home is a 2-day trip by the ground method chosen; even if the weekend order was shipped out as late as Tuesday, I'd be easily building my system over the weekend. THEY SHIPPED FROM GEORGIA!!
There's NO way to tell that ground shipping will be 2 days or 7 when placing an order from Lagoom.com. My weekend order will result in a Monday arrival of the NEXT week. Had I known the trip was cross-country, I may have chosen the 3-day shipping. But why pay for 3-day shipping when ground would make it in 2 days? Because packages WILL NOT NECESSARILY be from anywhere NEAR Freemont, CA, yet the website has NO INDICATION that packages are shipped from around the country.
Severe disappointment in this store especially after having seen the decent ratings on this site. Silly me, I expect a company to be up-front about distributed warehousing or have some way to know the true shipping situation before the order is shipped.
Do I expect too much?

Dear customer, although our office is located in Fremont, CA. We do have warehouses across the country. Since the case you ordered is not in our Fremont warehouse, it has to be shipped from other warehouses.
Thank you! |

I was not a very easy customer for lagoom. Ordered a product and had to have it returned for certain reasons. They shipped the product fast and did not have any problems returning the order. I would recommend them to anyone.

pretty good, but i think they should tell you more upfront when you order that they ship with "signature required" so it makes it tough if you are not home during the day.

Lagoom.com is simply AWESOME. I ordered an Intel CPU on 10/31/08, but never received it. I was tracking the order progress on-line, when it stated that the order had been placed on my front door. Little to my knowledge, there was no package. I looked at the FedEx website tracking website, but they state that it was delivered. So, I called Lagoom.com and emailed them to inquire about the order. The customer support staff was very helpful and he stated that he would contact FedEx personally to figure-out the problem. Approximately 3 days later, Lagoom.com sent me an email stating that FedEx "lost" the pack and they will be sending a new CPU.
And there you go... That is how you do business!!!

Got a great price and quick shipping but thats were the good part ends. They dont package merchandice correctly and as such it gets damaged in shipment. I ordered a Topower PS TOP-900W POWERBIRD for 195 shipped (very good deal) only problem is a recieved a dented powersupply which i belive is from terrible packing on their part.
They make YOU pay return shipping anyway and then they say all rmas are on a first come first serve basis. They recieved it on monday back from me and now its friday and it still in (testing status) test what? its dented....all they had to do was open the box and look inside...espically considering how they pack it to begin with....So basicly i placed an order on 10/22 and now its 11/7...i out the money for shipping it back to them and i still have no idea when ill get what i payed for (I guess im spoiled from shoping at newegg lol) buyer beware
(update)
ok finally recieved my package (only took 27 days)but good news is it was packaged a+ this time...im tempted to give these people another chance This review was modified by its author, PRIMETIME, on
