"So usually this was a fine place to rent books from but this last time will probably be the LAST time I will ever order from Knetbooks again. Order to books to rent and only one of them shipped, when I called to ask about the other one they proceeded to tell me that it was out of stock and they were still taking orders for it! I was not notified at all nor did it say on their website that the book was out of stock! If I had not called to ask about it they would not have told me, even though I had already been charged for the order. They were unable to tell me when of if they would get the book in. The only solution that was offered by the lady in the phone was a refund. As a college student when I order my books I expet to know when they will ship and when they will get here since it is time sensative that I get them in. I am extremly disappointed in the service I got and will not reffer knetbooks to any furture people!!! I Think that it is common sense to tell the people ordering that the book is out of stock! I feel bad for the people that have continued to order this book and will not be told they wont be getting it until who knows when! "
"Two weeks later and we still do not have our book after paying extra for 2 Day Shipping. Orders are not processed as timely as the website states. Thoroughly disappointed with the service, I sure hope the book is not in disarray when it does finally arrive. If you want a book fast, don't count on Knetbooks - you will be left hanging waiting for your books to arrive."
"I have ordered rental books from Knetbooks a few times and the prices are great, the shipping is always free, and they books arrived on time. I had to return a couple of books for a refund and I am still waiting for the refund to appear on my account. I have sent them an email asking about the refund, but I only got an auto reply at this point. I am going to give them a little more time for the refund and then I will try to call and see how their customer service via phone is compared to email. This company has come through beautifully on the straight forward transaction of rent a book, receive the book, return the book. But so far I am seeing some trouble with their refund process and email customer service."
"This company does not ship products out in a reasonable time, does not tell you if a book is not in stock and will still charge your account. Charges for 2 day shipping but 5 days later, order still listed as in process. sends generic emails in response to questions with no return call back. RUN! DO NOTBUY FROM THEM!"
"Worst company every! Ordered placed on 8/22 AM and I paid for 2 day shipping. 8/28 and I still have no book and these lousy people can not provide me with anything. I'm a MBA student and not having a book that I've ALREADY PAID for is ridiculous. I would NEVER consider giving these people another penny. I am demanding a refund and I will be contacting the BBB. "
"Two words summarize my opinion of knetbooks: Never Again. Two more words summarize my advice to you about knetbooks: RUN AWAY!Here's why I hold this position:1. Though prices shown were fair, I honestly don't believe they ever had my book in stock2. After placing my order online, I didn't receive a confirmation email until the next day - immediate confirmation should be a given with online transactions and made me question the reputability of knetbooks right away3. I paid an extra $14 for 2 day shipping; 4 days later my order status still showed "We are readying your order for shipping"4. I called customer service 5 minutes after they opened and finally gave up sitting on hold after 40 mins, so I entered my phone # in their automated callback system - I never received a call back5. Ultimately canceled order via email form (since I still can't get through via phone) and waiting for confirmation of cancelVery disappointed with the whole experience."
"quick service and books arrived in great condition."
"a pleasant experience, thank you all for the great service, will surely be back again !"
"We ordered the books with 2 day shipping due to an issue with our bookstore not having in what was needed. We are now at 4 days before UPS' expected arrival time.We called yesterday and were told they would be here today and SURPRISE no books. So my wife gets to start her masters classes with no books. They told us they have UP TO 5 DAYS TO SHIP THE BOOKS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE ON THE PHONE. This makes 2 day shipping virtually useless. In this case the books shipped but from what we can see on UPS' website the 2 business day shipping was NOT USED. NOTE this isnt spelled out on their shipping page that we can see right now at all.I; her husband works with worldwide shipping on a daily basis. The fact it takes them 5 days to get around to shipping an order in which a patron pays for rush shipping is a an utter disgrace. People arent ordering "want" items these are need items. The company wants to fill that niche then do so with pride and do it right.Ill add a followup if something good comes of this but there are enough competitors out there to make me think twice about spending my money here again.UPDATE:::\On hold for over an hour wait after speaking to CASSIE CS13 representative whom now has told us that they offer 2 day shipping but it takes 3-5 days. Which means your excessive shipping fee to get the book in 2 days is a complete farce. In most all cases (according to Cassie (CS13) and Whitney) it will take at the minimum 4 business days and as many as 7. In our case we would now not have received the Pathophysiology book in 15 days as they were "sourcing" it from elsewhere. A fact that NO ONE ever emailed, contacted, or stated to us in the process. Now we get to pay 1 day shipping on the book to get it here 2 days after class has started. Thank you very little Knetbooks for your complete lack of integrity and service.Whitney supervisor at netbooks.com who told me "shes the only Whitney there and granted me no employee number" guaranteed that I would be refunded all shipping and the price of the Patho book so we could re-order the books in a RUSH. Ill give it 48 hours before I start the credit card charge back.Congratulations Knetbooks you just earned your way into my spare time review postings. Ill be passing on this experience to some higher ups at the U of R in Rochester, RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), UT, Auburn, Gannon University, and University of the Incarnate Word. They keep a good rolling list of what online companies are worth dealing with. Something I also help review. And as a little side addendum.....KNET workers Cassie (cs13) and Manager Whitney claim that when you order the books it states 3-5 days before they ship....yet their page says orders placed before 1100 EST will be processed the same day. So processing means someone pulls them from a crate and then it takes 3-5 days for an "employee" to pull a box and stick a pre-labeled UPS sticker on them from when YOU THE CUSTOMER fill out the order. And for your reading pleasure....KNET BOOKS SHIPPING.....http://www.knetbooks.com/help-desk/shippingNo where in there does it state ANYTHING about 3-5 days to ship.........So if you pay at 0900 and they say they process the order...when would you think they would ship your (expedited 2 day shipping) books.I'm sure that isn't meant to be deceptive at all. Conflicting information when ordering vs. their listed shipping policy.....In reality they want you to pay expedited shipping and they will take their sweet time in getting it done. A fact that really wasn't listed well on that shipping page."
"I had a bad experience with Knetbooks and UPS. I dropped my order off on time into UPS Drop Box on time even two days earlier. However, in ten days I got an email that my card was charged because "your rental order is past due and is not currently tracking in the UPS tracking system via the UPS shipping label we provide and require you to use".Moreover, I was charged like for the new books even though they were not new at all. I was so surprised since I did everything that I had to do. Printed label, put the label on the top of the box with the rental books and dropped it off into UPS Drop Box( as they suggest in their instruction). I spent hours on the phone, speaking to Knetbooks and UPS representatives who were not particularly nice or understanding about the situation. Not a single person apologized for the situation. Instead, it was very humiliating to speak to them because they were explicitly and implicitly stating that I myself at fault for following UPS shipping instructions. This treatment of consumer is intolerable and must be amended.Knetbooks representative stated that I should not have used the drop box, but turned the package to the office. This is unacceptable. UPS prints label instructions asking me to use the drop box, but only until the problem happens. So, I decided to complain to BBB to resolve this issue. Now I am waiting for response."
"Great experience. Very affordable"
"I received the book quickly and it was in great condition - aside from just a few highlights, it was very much like new.I had originally just purchased the e-book, but then decided to get the physical copy as well because of a lot of downfalls to the e-book platform. I am very glad that I did get the physical book because it was very useful."
"Good price and service, my niece got what she needed to study. thanks again. "
"book came fast and ontime"
"I did not get the book on the date that was promised."
