I have looked at the details of your order and all the interactions with our customer service team. You ordered this ring at the end of 2012 and as you state in your review, you requested resizing at the end of the free resizing period. Our policy is to provide free resizing for 30 days after shipment.
That being said, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and in most circumstances our policy is to take into account any extenuating circumstances and adjust our policy accordingly. The customer service manager who dealt with your situation offered a significant discount to our resizing fee at the time. They probably should have given you the benefit of the doubt and extended our resizing policy in your case.

We are very sorry to hear that you are having a reaction to your Sterling silver ring. I can assure you that your item is genuine sterling silver and it is unfortunately very common for some people to have a chemical reaction to the silver. What is happening is that pure silver is a very soft metal and as such all jewelry is made using Sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver and the remaining 7.5% is made up of hard metals, such as copper. What you are seeing is a very common reaction between sulphides in your skin or from chemicals in your environment and the copper. In most cases, this reaction will stop after a week or so. It is not harmful at all and you can clean the ring using a wide range of tarnishing compounds or cloths available at most retailers. You can even try toothpaste which we find works pretty well.
There is really no sure way to ensure that Sterling Silver does not tarnish. A lot of mass market jewelry made offshore is coated with Nickel which is really the only way to ensure that the silver will not tarnish, however, it is a highly toxic process to both humans and the environment and due to the fact that all of our jewelry is custom manufactured at our factories in North America, we do not use this process.

Unfortunately this is a case of Sterling Silver tarnishing. Sterling silver will react to environmental chemical and even to your skin.
Our jewelry is all custom made in North America. There is no sure way to prevent this except to heavily coat the jewelry with Nickel, which is a highly toxic process not commonly used in the USA and Canada.
There are hundreds of cleaning products that should be used to properly care for Sterling Silver jewelry. If you Google "sterling silver tarnish" and you will see hundreds of pages of information that deal with this issue.
That being said, we pride ourselves on our superior customer service and the quality of our jewelry. Our goal is to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. To that end our records show that a senior customer service manager contacted to offer you an acceptable solution to your issue. You mention that you contacted us by email but we cannot find any record of this interaction.
As the customer service specialist explained, we offered to Rhodium plate your ring to add an extra layer of protection to your ring. We also have a 99 day return policy which gives you the opportunity to return the ring for a full refund if you are not satisfied.”
