"I have bought 7 motherboard-cpu-memory bundles or complete systems from JNCS over the last 9 years. On telling them of an intended application they have always suggested first the least expensive configuration that would do the job. Their packaging is extremely well done. Their warranty is par-none; it's 3 years minimum on all items bought from them, and today they helped me debug a problem on a bundle bought in 2003. One thing that always helps speed up debugging problems is to have the invoice number handy, not for verification that you bought it from them but to see exactly what you bought. One may be able to find things cheaper elsewhere but not with the warranty and service of JNCS. In my opinion one can't go wrong buying from them."

"I have been a customer for over 6 years. The service is exemplary. When you call you get a person, not only that, they know what they are talking about and go well above and beyond in order to make sure you get the system or bundle that you want/need. I am extremly pleased, and will continue to purchase future bundles and systems from JNCS. JNCS ROCKS!"

"I've had my first JNCS computer for over a year now. It has an Intel DQ35JO mobo with an E8400 Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz CPU, 2MB Kingston RAM, and a 500GB Seagate SATA-2 HD. The OS is XP Home. I use it primarily for my consulting business and designing MS Access databases.

As other reviews mentioned, one of the nice services they offer is to look at the config you choose and suggest ways to enhance performance at little or no extra cost, or reduce cost without losing performance. E.g., I don't need a 500GB HD, but for $30 more, it's far faster than the smaller drive I had picked.

Shortly after getting the computer, I noticed that it ignored my power settings, and if I put it into standby or hibernate manually, when I brought it back out, it would crash and reboot. I sent the computer back with the programs I had put on it intact. They discovered (in just 3 days) that software I was using (SystemSuite 9) conflicted with the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) on the mobo, even though the latter was disabled in the BIOS. There was nothing physically wrong with the computer. I uninstalled SystemSuite, and it has worked perfectly ever since.

BTW, I had a strong requirement that this computer be QUIET, and the case they recommended is so quiet it's difficult to know by sound whether it's on or not. It's great. My previous computer, which was custom built by a competitor and for which I had also requested a quiet case, wasn't; noisy as hell...which is why I didn't order from them again.

Only issue I ever had was one of their tech reps was not very responsive to e-mails. He was very tech savvy, but you had to call him vs. using e-mail. Other than that, terrific company. I recommend them highly. "

"I researched, ordered, and received a complete computer system from JNCS. I chose them because of the great service & decent price I received from them on the purchase of a motherboard bundle 3 years ago. I wanted "top of the line" gaming system and most certainly got one. After picking the parts I wanted, I called to place my order. I was assisted by Jerry - he was very polite and very knowledgeable. He did not "oversell" me and in fact was able to suggest a few changes that enhanced my computer and saved me a few dollars. My initial experiences both online & with Jerry was very pleasant. He answered every question I had - there were many - and was in no hurry; I felt like a customer & not just another chunk of money headed their way. A few days after I placed the order I called back and asked for Jerry because I had yet another question - there was a slight delay until he picked up the phone & I learned that even though he was on a break, he dropped what he was doing to take my call - that is what I call Customer Service!!

The computer right on time as promised - they even delayed shipment so the arrival would coincide with my return from vacation. The computer and the ancillary manual, disks, etc. were packaged unbelievably well. There is no way, barring being hit by a truck that the contents could have been damaged; it was packed with Styrofoam, airbags, and more Styrofoam. Every item associated with the computer was included in the container - every manual, booklet, and the individual packaging for the RAM, DVD drive, motherboard, and video cards - anything and everything that came with the parts was included with my computer.

Included in the container was a letter providing instructions and contact numbers in case of a problem. To date there have been zero problems with anything - I love VISTA and my new computer. I will always try to give JNCS my business in the future - their prices are very fair and their customer service is excellent.

"Shoddy workmanship, poor to nonexistent communication, outright incompetance. They made no attempt to contact me about an initial problem with my order, despite having my email and phone number. Nor would they answer emails. When they did build the system, they put the OS on the wrong drive, they left a jumper on the drives that drastically reduced their performance, and they reversed 1394 and USB cables on the motherboard, which destroyed two of my memory sticks before I discovered the problem. Major quality control issues; stay away. UPDATE: 12/21/2006. J and N did reimburse me for a memory stick, and the owner phoned me to make a formal apology for the problems I encountered."

"I did my homework. I checked prices on the Web for weeks, generating a blizzard of files and paper work on every PC configuration that seemed to fit my requirements. My wife almost left me. But once I found JNCS my search was over.

I've purchased 6 PC's in my life, 3 of them were "customized" online. I won't mention any brand names but two were Dell's. Dell sells computers like AOL sells online service ... it just isn't for me.

OK ... I ordered my dream system from JNCS on 5/19/06. On 6/2 I called Scott and he said it would ship "today". I received unit on 6/6 but had to wait an extra day before I could set it up because the DVI to VGA adapter had been shipped separately. (??)

I set up the system. Looks great .... solid aluminum Cooler Master case. I had to load a bunch of drivers etc ... and I won't go into detail because of 5000 character limit here. My system was an AMD 64X2 4400, 7900GT GPU, 2 gig DDR2, on a A8N32SLI-Deluxe mobo, 2 Lite-On Lightscribe drives, Seagate 250, etc. ... NICE!

Unfortunately it was already out of date by the time I got it because AMD and Intel had "just" come out with new "kick ass" CPU's, and they were slightly cheaper than what I paid. Ok .... my bad luck. Should have waited a day or two before ordering. Story of my life.

In a nut shell - PC wouldn't boot at first. I had to reset BIOS to default settings and then it booted. It was booting slow, was crashing on games like NFL2006, DH2K5, etc. so I ran memtest on it. Failed. Called JNCS - tech said pull mem sticks one at a time etc.... did all that... still no joy - he said "send them back".

Research on the 'Net told me to dis-able Legacy USB in BIOS. Memtest showed perfect scores after that. My only other tiny complaint is that JNCS did not hook up fan/speed sensors to the mobo but opted to hard wire them some other way; and that renders PC Probe, temp sensors, etc ---- useless.

AMD has since released "dual core fixes" for older games, and NVidia's latest 90 series drivers have improved overall "joy factor" but this has nothing to do with JNCS.

Don't get me wrong ... JNCS builds quality systems and you will NOT find a better, quicker, more responsive tech support dept. Period.

My overall experience with JNCS (for a $2000 system) was the best deal I ever made as far as computer buying goes."

"I ordered a new system for college from these guys, for work and for play. I ordered it in May, and waited and waited, and finally in June, I got the shipping confirmation email. It turned out, because I had ordered a brand new processor that wasn't really available, they actually substituted a better one, just in the interest of getting the system shipped! They ate the extra $100 or so that it took to get it out to me.

After about a 2 weeks of use, the system stopped booting - it didn't even POST, actually. So, I talked to one of the techs, and we tried to fix it (I'm pretty good with computers) but I couldn't, so I sent it back. They replaced the defective part (the motherboard) under warranty and even reimburst my shipping cost to them.

I would highly recommend these guys, they know what they're doing, and they're straightforward if not always friendly on the phone. I'll be purchasing my next computer from this company, definitely."

"I purchased a dual Opteron workstation from J & N last month. While the initial process did not go as smoothly as I would have hoped, the team at J & N more than made up for it in excellent and reassuring customer service.

When ordering from their Web site, you're notified it can take from 5 - 10 business days for your system to ship. On the 10th business day I called to see when they expected to ship my order.

They apologized that they hadn't shipped the system yet. I ordered a specific case, and they'd received the wrong cases from that vendor. They described the cases they'd received, and said that if I preferred this new one they could ship my order right away.

I didn't really mind -- the thing's going to be sitting in a computer lab, not be some objet d'art. I said fine, they said, fine, and we both say goodbye.

Five minutes later the phone rings. It's one of the managers, calling to assure me I don't want this case. In his mind it's the worst looking case he's ever seen and wouldn't want me to be disappointed when it arrives. He suggested I go with one of the other cases the system can be configured with that they do have in stock.

I told him I'd really prefer the one I originally ordered. So, he offered to get the case I wanted over-nighted to them and rush the order out. Excellent.

Alas, there was another glitch. The system arrived, but without the DVD-RW drive I'd ordered, and the graphics card box was missing the DVI/VGA adapter.

I called, and do confess I was not polite in voicing my dissatisfaction. I wanted to speak to someone in charge, and was told that unfortunately both the owner (Jerry) and the manager were out, having taken long weekends. That worsened my mood. I told them I expected a phone call first thing Monday morning.

I got the call -- the very same day, from Jerry, from his vacation location. He promised to do whatever needed to be done to make matters right. The correct equipment arrived promptly, their tech support people walked me through the installation, and Jerry refunded me the initial shipping costs for my troubles.

Based on my personal experience, and the other reviews I've read here, I look forward to doing business with J & N again."

"This is my second purchase and I cannot recommend them enough. They are VERY helpful and knowledgeable and use the very best products available at very reasonable prices, and their support is second to none, The way Dell used to be years ago. "
