"I was almost ripped off in the amount of $78.20 and it would have been my first bad experience with internet shopping. I have over 800 purchases to date. The owner had been running things like all was fine except for the fact that he has not shipped anything to customers in approx 4 months or so. I read on the sites forum how people were not receiving their orders (of course this was after I had placed my order). I was extremely pissed off and did the research to get website taken down. The credit card processing company was 2Checkout.com. I contacted them and they have strict rules regarding sales behavior of their customers (Extremeallterations.com). I filled out the proper forms on the 2CHeckout.com website and they took action. I paid with PayPal so I got my money back. Hopefully this guy is facing the court system. STAY CLEAR if the website ever gets back on line."
"2CheckOut.com Order Number: 49094 - 20520243 Extreme Alterations Invoice Num: 20040804233342 I had a terrible experience with this company. Extreme Alterations was fine and ok the order, but their checkout co-company,2co.com or 2checkout.com was unreasonable, wanted a copy of my bank account and I finally wound up canceling the order after bantering back and forth with them for almost 4 days. I will never do business with Extreme Alterarions again because of it and will never, ever do business with any company that uses 2co.com or 2checkout.com and suggest everyone do the same. "THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. They will charge your credit card but never actually send your item. DO NOT ORDER. You are better off just throwing your money into a fire than dealing with these con artists."
"Me thinks these folks are OOB... out of business. I got charged for my order (actually 2 orders because I placed a 2nd order 4 days later :( )but no movement as far as shipping. I've tried e-mailing but no response. I tried calling - but the phone was disconnected. I'll be contacting my CC company to dispute. DO NOT PLACE ORDERS WITH EXTREME ALTERATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Follow up... 2co.com did credit my credit card for the purchases. The drill goes: open a work order with 2co.com - they forward via e-mail to Extreme Alterations. You have to allow 2 days for Extreme Alt. to reply - if no reply you re-open the 2co.com work order advising that you received no reply. At that point 2co.com e-mails Extreme Alt. and again you must wait 2 more days. So after 4 days from filing the work order you can request 2co.com to credit your card which they will do.
2co.com seems to be very legit and responds well to service requests. Kudo's to 2co.com for their assistance.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM EXTREME ALTERATIONS.com website. "

"I should have read these comments before I ordered from these guys. Ordered 2 red and 2 uv 6" cold cathode kits on July 3'rd. Got an order confirmation and the cash taken out of my account. Got a second e-mail saying basically the same thing. Shipping type was "Table Rate (Best Way)," whatever that is, so I have no tracking number at all. Tried to contact customer service via telephone several times, e-mail a few times, and repeatedly on AIM to no avail. I am extremely disappointed to say the least, and will be taking the appropriate measures to see to this matter personally if my situation is not rectified. Do NOT buy from Extreme Alterations!"
"This has got to be my worst online buying experience ever. The mail form, emails, and AIM will never put you in contact with anyone. Granted, it's been only 9 days since I've ordered, but I can already see where this is going... newegg or frozencpu would have sent my package within a few days, or would have at least already informed me of out of stock items. I really don't expect to ever see my package, but I'll give them a little more time before I have my credit company dispute it (and yes, I'm very afraid these people have my CC#). Soon afterwards I'm going to file a report with the BBB. Stay clear of this reseller; they'll just make you feel cheated.
extremealterations: I'll change my rating if you do the honorable thing and promptly send the correct items... but really, if you guys aren't in business anymore, you really need to take the site down.
UPDATE 7/20 I've realized this isn't happening, so why keep waiting-- this is nothing but a scam, folks. I've already contacted my credit company to fix this problem. Let every modder you know to avoid this place like the plague."

"I ordered a hard drive cooler from Extreme Alterations on the 15th of June. Today is the 13th of July; the order status is "pending" and contacting the company is impossible. Emails; no response. Phone calls; no answer. AIM; DigitalWanksta disconnects when I send a message. I have emailed one last time insisting on the arrival of the product or a refund. If the situation gets resolved, I will update this review accordingly.
I have been shopping on the internet for a long time now, and this is by FAR the WORST experience I have ever had; no communication on their end, and no response to my many attempts to contact them. HORRIBLE!!!!"
"I placed an order to this company for a sunbeam rheobus for a water cooling system I am putting together. The order process was smooth the processing company C2IT processed the order with no problems. I did get confirmation emails of my order pending. I gave an extra day because I ordered on a holiday before contacting C2IT for a refund, my order should certainly be shipped by now. I tried calling and sending emails with no replys. I am a computer network administrator, web developer, and eCommerce consultant. I know PayPal well and I understand how it can be sometimes difficult to integrate products with payment and shipping. I hope the business practices of C2IT are half as good as PayPal's so I can be assured to get a refund for my order. I would think the worst problem this company has at this time is communication and providing shipping in a timely manner. I will certainly not order from this company and I hope I can get my money back so I can place an order at a more reputable company such that I can get MY customer's system built in a timely manner.
**UPDATE 7-26-2004 **
C2IT Eventually DID refund my money so, at least this companies merchant service is on the up and up. I see many posts that state "I wish I would have checked reseller ratings before I ordered" I feel your pain as I too was feeling the same way. But, it seems you can easily get your money back simply by contacting C2IT.com and request a refund for product not recieved. I will never again order from an unknown company without rechecking resellerratings.com first. BTW I ended up ordering from Xoxide.com for the same product I wanted from these people- and it was less expensive at Xoxide -- Yayyy! My order arrived in 2 business days. Now that is fast shipping -- Thanks -- xoxide.com"

"Well I placed an order with Extreme Alterations on June 12 and it is now July 3. I wish i had come here before i bought from them. Their service is beyond bad. I have had no contact with them at ALL. Ive called, E mailed, just about everything shy of showing up at thier doorstep. They should be ashamed of how they treat customers. I will NEVER buy for them again and will recomend them to NO ONE. Its funny how they have all these bad reviews with the same problems, but they still dont fix them, and they have a Resellerratings link on thier site. "
