"DO NOT BUY from InternetIshop. I returned a defective laptop under warranty. They would not return my phone calls for over a month. Then they tried to charge me $65 to repair a defective PC Card slot while the laptop was under warranty. They have the worst customer/technical service once you have bought from them. BUYERS BEWARE - you may wait two months to get a repair or replacement!"
"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Know as HugeBee and Internet I Shop My story...
On 7/8/04 I ordered a P4 3.06G 1.0G / 60G(5400)/ ATI 64M product number: 732D30X. The first week I had it I had a problem and after troubleshooting, I contacted the InternetiShop tech dept. They said there was a major problem with it and to send it back. It was shipped back by U.P.S. on 7/23/04. After about a week or so, the tech dept. contacted me and said it had to be sent back to the manufacture. I called back a week later, and InternetiShop said it was still out. I called the first week of Sept. and was told they would be receiving it back shortly. Once they received it, they would check it out. I should have it by the end of the following week at the latest. I have made a few calls since and always get a story.I called 8/9/04 and was told they were going to call the manufacturer in a half hour when they open and see what was going on with it. They would contact me either by e-mail or phone to let me know what was going on. No call... No e-mail... So again, I called 8/10/04 the next day and no one had a clue about anything. According to the background conversation it sounded like it was lost. I have made subsequent calls on 9/14/02, 9/20/04, 9/21/02, and 9/23/04. On 9/14/04, I was told by someone named Min that I would be receiving a full refund to my credit card. I kept checking my account on line, but a credit was never issued. All calls after 9/20/04 were answered by a machine stating “all lines are busy.” In addition, the website of Internetishop is down at present.
"I ordered a P4 machine by phone from Internetishop on Sept 9, 2004. The order was to ship in seven days. On Sept 10, 2004, this company billed my card. Today, Sept 21, 2004 not only do I not have a PC, but their web site is down, their fax number is down, and their main office numbers are no good. I am assuming this company is out of business. You should notify your bank or credit card company immediately and file a dispute to have your charges refunded. I urge you do so so immeidately. "
"I have the unfortunate luck of being one of the un-luckiest fella out there. I have been mildly pleased with this company sine my purchase of a desktop unit in oct. '03. That is, until about 2 weeks ago. The motherboard appeared to crash/meltdown (whatever). So I called the folks at internetishop. They gave me a return number in order to ship them my broke pooter. My fed ex tracking number shows that it was delivered Friday, Sept. 17th. Well it appears that this place decided not to open their doors after the weekend. I'm just hoping my $1200 FORKING POOTER can be returned to me. Fixed or not fixed, just give it back!!!!!!!!! Everyone needs to contact the BBB in LA. Look them up at www.labbb.org and file a complaint."
"I had bought a laptop from internetishop(gen-x-pc?) Corporate Location: 2198 Pomona Blvd., Pomona, CA 91768 on the 28th of May 2004. I had to send this item back to internetishop for repairs on the 20th of Aug. 2004. This product has been in there hands ever since then and I can not contact them to find out where it is or even if they still have it. All there phone numbers are disconnected and web site is down.I had contacted the BBB and the California Attorney General as of the 21st of September to make Complaints and begin an investigation about there practices. All I ask is that I get what belongs to me and that is my laptop. The consumer Affairs for california will be my next contact along with other resources to resolve this issue! Can you assist me to resolve this issue immediately. This issue will only get worse! Here is some posted link's of many hitting the web http://p206.ezboard.com/binternetishopscrewedus64824 http://badbusinessbureau.com/rebuttalForm.asp?id=109813#report"

"I ordered a laptop from this company over eBay, and have thusfar been very dissatisfied with the level of service I have received. For reference, the laptop I purchased can be seen here:
http://www.internetishop.com/product_detail.asp? main_cat_no=LT&sub_cat_no=01&item=351C30E (split for viewability)
Soon after I received the laptop, I had several issues with it. I was unable to resume from Hibernation in Windows XP, as I received a STOP error telling me that there was an issue with the driver for my graphics card, a 64MB nVidia GeForce 4 GO. I tried several things on my own, including checking that there was no spyware on the system and reinstalling the nVidia driver, both from internetishop.com and nvidia.com, before calling their technical support line, which put me on hold, then took my customer number, then told me a tech would call me back in an hour and disconnected me. The tech did indeed call back in about 40 minutes, and insisted that I uncheck everything in MSCONFIG, and reinstall the driver, despite my telling him that I had already done it (I do technical support for HP / Compaq myself; if a customer says they've done something, take their word for it). He then told me to reinstall Windows, despite it being practically a new installation. I did so, and it did not solve the issue, and the next tech told me to send it in to them (at my own cost). They then sent it back to me with a small post-it note attached:
"HDD makes high-pitched noise sometimes, better reinstall Windows, with my testing HDD is fine"
My guess is that they did no hardware service at all.
After about a minute of looking around, I realized I had left the microphone on, and it was generating feedback. I muted it, and presto; no high-pitched sound coming "from the hard drive". Despite my knowledge that it wasn't an issue with Windows already, I went ahead and reinstalled Windows, and the issue persisted.
Now, that's only one issue of a few, I had to fix an issue where the system would freeze for a moment every time I pressed a key myself (through a registry hack, if anyone gets the same issue, check your Event Log in XP). I also still have an issue where the PCMCIA wireless card often needs to be inserted several times before it will start working. Also, the laptop has a huge heatsink on it, which doesn't surprise me, it having a desktop P4 processor, but what does surprise me is the placement of the heatsink: right above the keyboard, in front of the screen. Not on the side or on the bottom like a sane laptop design would have, but on the top, effectively making it so that I cannot close the laptop while it's running lest it overheat horribly.
These people sell crappy, third rate hardware. Their tech support is incompetent. Their repair center is incompetent. Their outlook on customer service is that they've already got your money, so they shouldn't bother providing decent after-sale support.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESELLER."

"I ordered a desktop at 8:30am EST from this vendor. It promised 3 day shipping, which is why I went with it. I called to check shipping status Fri Sept 10th to verify shipping and was told it was on its way out the door Tues AM. (Mon was labor day) I was told it was all set. Tues I called to verify shipping they said parts were on back order and it would be a while. WHY DID THEY NOT INFORM ME? I tried to cancel, but was told they found it! It would be shipped overnite and arrive on Wed Sept 14th. The 14th (day of arrrival), I recieved an email saying a packing slip had been printed for delivery by DHL. I called DHL and they expalined they never picked it up. I called Internetishop, and they said DHL was lying!!!!! After 3 days of trying to get a status on the machine during which I was told everything from I don't speak english, to I don't know who my boss is, etc, I called and cancelled the order. I was told it would be put back on my bank card (Visa) that day. That was 5 days ago and I still don't have the money in my bank!!!! I am upset with this very unprofessional company. customer service, shipping etc needs to communicate, and quit hiding the people in charge who need to make mistakes right!"

I am a CEO of a webdesign/services firm. I recently purchased a computer via InternetIshop and within three weeks my harddrive failed. I tried contacting them and realized... There not in business anymore. I also stumbled across numerous forums like this one. Where people like yourself and I have been ripped off by InternetIshop and Hugebee. I am currently working with a lawyer and am willing to start a class action lawsuit against InternetIshop and its affiliates. If anyone may be interested in signing a petition and joining this legal action please visit: http://cyberneticdreamz.com/internetiflop/
Thank you and I hope all can be resolved to everyones benefit. "
"I had dealt with internetishop in the past and have had relatively good experiences with them. However this time has been a night mare. Well over a month ago I ordered an AMD 64 bit laptop from them. After a month of lies and no call backs and a $200.00 cell phone bill between them and my self and DHL shipping I have no laptop and I had to actually call my credit card company and have them stop payment! I will never use this company again. Feel free to contact me and I can provide proof that I am not making this up! NEVER AGAIN! Thank You, Glenn W. Robinson Peach Bottom, PA"
