"DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE CROOKS!
Friend called me tonight and told me he ordered a Canon 20D for $765.00 from this place. Told him this is too good to be true better check it out (body goes for $1500). Apparently these scammers are typical bait and switcher working out of a hole-in-the-wall. Same people as infiniti cameras
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2684.html.

If you have placed an order, immediately call your credit card company and cancel/block the order. Cancel your order with these thieves. If they tell you that you owe them a restocking fee and have to respond to their E-mails, DON'T DO IT! Do not let them have a penny. Tell these convicts that they belong in jail and give them nothing and hang up.
Hopefully you are doing your homework first and not seeing this after the fact."

"I had the misfortune to find this company online. Their price was somewhat lower than Ritz Camera but not excessively so. I was not really suspicious. I ordered a Nikon D-40 camera kit (Adverised as: New, fresh and American packaged with US warranty) with 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens along with some minor accessories. A couple of days later a guy called about my order and wanted to discuss upgrades. He sounded like a used car salesman and I was immediately put off.I should have followed my instincts and cancelled the sale then and there. I did not but was jotting down the prices quoted as we talked. He was upgrading my lenses, adding filters, upgrading the camera case, adding a 4 year warranty add-on and express shipping. The shipment arrived by express shipping...

When it arrived: "Gray market" merchandise, questionable if it's even new, no warranty, faked up copies of manual and software, Nikon laughed at me when I went to register it. The invoice only says "Deluxe package deal US retail package w/glass lenses" with a price. Individual items have no price listed. Oddly, the prices I jotted down are about $300 short of the total charged.

I would go hunt these guys down and bring charges except that I live in California and they are in Brooklyn. It would cost me more in airfare than I could recoup. Part of their planning, I suspect.

I have been shopping on the internet for several years. This has been only the second incident of a fraudulent vendor I have encountered. Both now have been New York merchants. I think I am going to add a criteria to my personal shopping habits that any vendor from the northeast, particularly New York is suspect. If enough people shun business there, perhaps they will clean up their act. I doubt it.

"After calling to see whether or not the camera I ordered had a battery, I got a really bad feeling. I called back within half an hour to cancel the order, and they were unresponsive. I immediately cancelled the credit card I'd purchased some of the items on. Sure enough, I get a call from a slack-jawed girl in their billing department saying my credit card was invalid. I said yeah, I know. Cool. I got transferred to their sales/ "customer service" (a laughable joke -- it sounded like a stuffy, podunk sweatshop in the background). John Sawyer called me back at home multiple times thereafter (I was working, didn't answer the first few times) until finally I picked up and was harrassed for cancelling my order. I felt like I was dealing with a depraved spare-changer or someone who's suffered severe head trauma. I've never seen someone so desperate for my order/money in my life.

ECHOED SENTIMENT: WORST INTERNET ORDER EVER."

"Over a moth ago I ordered a camera through their website. It was supposed to be in stock according to the site. 3 days later I am asked to call them and notified that there is a back order and I will receive it within 2 weeks. NADA. Called them again - please wait another 2 weeks. NADA. After over a month they finally tell me that this is an overseas model without the accessories and warranty in the US. They still have an add for this camera (Minolta Z5) without mentioning that it is out of stock or that it comes naked.
When I complained it just became worse. They tried to make me cancel the order, held me on the line repeatedly for 15 minutes each time and then hung up. I finally managed to connect again to one of their reps and cancel the order.
Infiniti photo is dishonnest AND has a BAD customer service. "

"Spare yourself the grief--this is a dishonest, disreputable company that baits and switches, lies about their products and can be completely unpleasant to deal with--and they will get your money-one way or another. Don't be lured by these low prices, there is no way you can walk away with just that item-they make sure, or they hit you up for a restocking fee once you realize that they have duped you. There is no email invoice, which gives you clue enough. Personally, I have written to the New York Attorney General about them. They really need to be put out of business.

Post mortem: I ended up being charged $130 as a restocking fee. When i called them, I was told it was the shipping, which apparently cost a whopping $50..when I reminded the salesperson that the amount was included in the final amount and that their contract made no distinction about shipping, he finally, relented and returned some of the money. I never asked for a refund. I had asked for an exchange and I was told that it wasn't in stock for six weeks (the usual excuse). I am happy to say I have learned my lesson. I will never deal with these rip off artists again. I can only hope peeople actually take this comments seriously anbd be forwarned..I wish I had."

"WARNING! DO NOT ORDER FROM INFINITI PHOTO! The camera was MISSING from the box!!

I checked out their website and called them directly to ask questions and finalize my order with a saleman named Dave. Puchased a Canon Elph S410 for $225 + CF card + extended 5 yr warranty + overnight shipping of $50. I opened the delivery box after UPS delivered it, then opened the Canon box, and NO CAMERA was in it!! Just an emtpy plastic bag. I emailed and left messages for the company, and looked online only to find all these HORRIBLE reviews from other customers about this retailer!! I immediately called AMEX to cancel (for some reason they can't cancel a charge, only puruse a fraud case after the charge goes through). "

"I ordered a Canon SD-300 camera on 12/10 for Christmas with 2 day air. When it had not arrived by 12/15, I called THREE different times and was on the phone for over 1 hour each time. Each time someone answered and when I gave them my order number, told me that they were transfering me somewhere else and then disconnected me. I have called Visa and complained and now I am having to pay extra for overnight delivery. DON'T BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS!"

"I placed an order with Infinity and never heard any confirmation on a delivery date. When I finally called them, they said that it would be 6 weeks unless I wanted to get a 3 or 5 year warranty for an extra $100 to $120. If I decided to upgrade it would ship out the next day. When I decided to cancel they just hung up on me. Very rude and unprofessional. I can't believe they're still in business."

"Infiniti Photo is the run of the mill "bait and switch" camera store NY City unfortunately is known for. They list the lowest price of the Canon Digital Rebel XT. However, this camera becomes "unavailable" if you choose not to purchase "accessories" such as the battery and battery charger that Canon packages with each and every camera that they sell. Oh . . . you want a warranty with that camera? That will cost extra. We're not talking "extended warranty" here, mind you. It's quite comical, their setup. I figured I'd give them a shot. Unfortunately they proved my earlier concerns. It is places like Infiniti Photo that give Internet shopping a black eye. I cancelled my order, and will be making another purchase from a reputable dealer. After placing the order, I plan on sending a letter to the NY Attorney General."

"I purchased the camera online, then called in to confirm. That's when "Adam" told me they would not ship the camera unless I also purchased a battery accessory. Minimum price of smallest battery: $189. When I suggested that I would purchase a battery at a later time, possibly from another retailer, "Adam" stated "No, you can not" at least 3 different times. Of course I can purchase from another retailer: I cancelled my order.

They are based in NY. Alert the attorney general, and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Otherwise, they'll continue these practices.

They are listed at the BBB as "Infinity Cameras". Note that almost half of their complaints are about "selling practices" (36 out of 72)"
