NO RESPONSE CUSTOMER SERVICE for 3 WEEKS (AND COUNTING!!!)! ITEM BROKEN IN SHIPMENT
"Ordered some blinds which are made of a lightweight plastic - As soon as the package was delivered I knew there was going to be an issue. True Value shipped these two relatively large blinds (72" ea. in length ) basically just shrink wrapped together. There WAS NO precautions taken in packaging to be sure the item wasn't damaged in shipping. As expected both ends of the blinds were shattered when I removed the shrink wrapping. I took pictures to document the damage and 1st emailed True Value customer support. I waited 5 business days and didn't receive a response. I sent email # 2. - waited 3 business days No response. Called customer service - waited 3 business days - NO RESPONSE - Emailed and called AGAIN... No RESPONSE. It's now over 3 week since my initial email. Never had a supposed reputable company just ignore their customers. LAST PURCHASE I'LL EVER MAKE FROM TRUE VALUE.UNBELIEVABLE . BUT TRUE. If I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS I WOULD!!"

"Hi, Thank you True Value Customer Service ~Recently I ordered 4 cans of "Restor-A-Finish 16 OZ Neutral Wood Finish by Howard "I just wanted to thank you first for having them, as well as shipping them out so quickly and at such a good price for their combined shipping.My sources here seemed to be stopping carrying them and so I did an Internet search for it, and you came up. Shipping on 1 can was pretty expensive, but when I up the quantity to '4' it became cheaper per can than if I was still buying them locally.I do hope you are going to continue carrying them as it is an amazing product. I call it "Magic in A Can".My normal places seem to all be jumping on the "Min-Wax" bandwagon, which I personally think is terrible. "We found Ideal True Value on line when we were looking for outside lighting for our home. We were looking for a particular style of wall sconce, and wanted them to be LED lights to save operating costs: Ideal had the exact model we were looking for. The price was right, and the online purchase was trouble free. When the lights arrived we had them professionally installed to ensure they were wired correctly, and they worked great...for about two months. One night one of the lights just stopped working. We called the electrician who had installed the lights to check it out and he confirmed that the problem was the light itself. We contacted Ideal True Value expecting some push back, or at least some grilling as to the details of the problem, but they advised , with absolutely no hesitation, that they would send a replacement right away. We are waiting for the replacement now ( the other original light is still working fine) and will follow up on this review when we receive and install it. Our thanks to everyone involved - Robert has been particularly helpful, and I want to thank him specifically for going above and beyond for us. We will definitely purchase from you again, and spread the word about this great, customer friendly store. "
"I was intimidated by some of the bad reviews. However, since the items that I bought were pretty inexpensive, I went ahead and try this company. The items I purchased did not come on the same day. But they all came within a week. Some of them came really early too. I have no complaints. "
"Being concerned about some of their review comments with order processing & delivery email notification, I called and spoke with Robert in customer service.He was great!My order was expediently processed by Ideal & the shipping warehouse in WA. Got email with shipping info & package delivered on time by Fedex.Ideal did exactly what Robert said.Best price & service. I will definetly will use them again."

"Ordered 100lbs of ice melt pellets that I couldn't find locally. The online price was great. The sales receipt looked kind of plain for what I'm used to from ordering online, and after reading some of the negative reviews I started to get concerned. I sent a quick email to the customer service address and received a response within a couple hours. My packages shipped later that day and I received them two days later. Exactly what I ordered and on time."
"After reading so many negative reviews, strictly about poor customer service and lengthy shipping, I was extremely reluctant to place an order with this company. Ideal True Value had the best price by far but I needed my order quickly. I decided to contact the company before placing an order to gain a better perspective. I called the number listed in their website, and despite so many other complaints about not being about to reach anyone, I reached an associate immediately. He checked the inventory and estimated a delivery 5 days from the day I called. I told him I needed the order ASAP do he took my name and said he would be watching for my order to push it through quickly. I placed my order and received a confirmation email right away. After two days, I did not receive a shipping notice so I called back. This time unable to reach someone. I left a message with my invoice number, as requested, and was contacted that evening by email with confirmation that my order had shipped and would arrive as previously noted. My order arrived right on the estimated day and all items were exactly as expected! Happy with my order! I only rated this company 4 stars because I do see other peoples frustration with the ability to reach an associate. The company phone service could be improved. Seems like a mom-and-pop shop for sure. "

"While searching for a particular lock I found Ideal True Value. They had the best price, but I was a little concerned about the bad reviews. I decided to purchase a small amount just to be sure. The locks arrived very quickly and were exactly as ordered. I received great customer service from the first order and Robert goes above and beyond to make sure I get my order quickly and that it is accurate, as well as the best price. He is very customer service-oriented and has responded quickly at various hours and even the on weekends. I have ordered from a lot of companies online and this company cannot be beat for its great customer service. Ideal True Value has a customer for life! I am glad I found them."
"Received quick email indicating shipping information would be forwarded but nothing a week later. No response from their email for shipping inquiry either. Interestingly most reviews are "negative" on here while Amazon rates them 4 out of 5. Obviously Amazon encourages buying from these people to bolster their sales. Once is enough for me."
"I am POed about the length of time it is taking to receive an order. I placed it 1 week ago and just received notice it had shipped. Like others the phone number they gave for customer service put you into voice mail with no satisfactory responses. I wouldn't deal with them again. I thought AT&T was tough to deal with. These folks are very difficult."
"I purchased some shelf brackets from their website on July 1 because they seemed to have the best deal. Two days later I received a "confirmation email" and it stated that a seperate email would be sent to me with a tracking #. On July 7th I still had NOT received a tracking # and emailed the company. Today, July 9th (48 hours after my email) I tried calling the company by the # listed on their webpage - none of the extensions worked & when I got to a voicemail it would hang up on me every time. I searched the internet & found a different # & was transferred to a friendly girl named Brittney who told me my items would ship out this Wednesday (July 11th). I feel that 10 days is an unreasonable amount of time to have item shipped out, especially when its not a large order. I am highly dissatisfied with the ease or UN ease of contacting customer service. I was almost positive that this company had ripped me off for my money. Next time, I will probably pay the extra few dollars to a different company so that I can have my items sent to me in this lifetime. "
"Ordered product on 06/02/2012. Credit card was charged on 06/02/2012 (same day). Received order confirmation on 06/05/2012 indicating the order had been processed and would ship from their Crossett, AR warehouse. Was further advised that I would receive a tracking number when my order shipped. Heard nothing further for over ten (10) days. Sent email on 06/13/2012 requesting status of the order and a shipment confirmation number. Received a canned email on 06/14/2012 stating that my order had shipped and providing me a USPS Priority Mail Tracking Number. I checked with USPS and there was no record of the tracking number they provided. I wrote back that same day (06/14/2012) requesting the precise date it shipped. Received a response from Brittney Taylor on 06/15/2012 providing me the same USPS tracking number and advising me to go to the USPS site to track the order. She did not answer my specific question regarding exactly WHEN THEY SHIPPED IT. A check of the USPS tracking site on the evening of 06/15/2012 shows the shipment was just accepted in their system on that date (06/15/2012) for shipment - TWO WEEKS AFTER IDEAL TRUE VALUE CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD!!! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that they took my money on 06/02/2012 and did absolutely nothing until I questioned them about the status. They probably would not have shipped if I didn't call them on it. Now they won't give me a straight answer to a simple yet direct question. This place is shady. There is nothing special or unique about the products this outfit supplies. There are plenty of other sources available for the same exact products. I would recommend using someone else. I know I no longer trust IDEAL TRUE VALUE and I would recommend you steer clear of them."
