Thank you Jonathan, you guys are great. Ordered a VERY hard to come by motherboard (at a super price) over phone on 4/2 and received on 4/4. Was expecting OEM board; Jonathan sent drivers, cables the works. Installed and worked perfect. My customer picked up his PC on 4/5, four days earlier than anticipated, and was extremely happy.
Great price, Great product, ultrafast shipping, superior customer service each time I have ordered.

I have ordered several SCSI drives from this company over the years and had good experiences, including one warranty exchange on an OEM drive dealt with efficiently. So I was surprised to read the more recent (since my last drive purchase a couple of years ago) reviews on this site. But I just ordered a bulk/OEM processor from the company and it was shipped very poorly packaged stuck to a piece of foam and jammed into a little cardboard box. It arrived with a couple of pins bent. Luckily I was able to straighten them and install the CPU but I narrowly escaped having to try to return the CPU or be faced with an expensive paperweight. Either the quality of service of this company has declined over the past few years or they don't know how to handle CPUs as opposed to drives.

Ordered a dual PIII 370 board from this site, received without manual and was packed in a brown box-not original, which they did not mention on their site.
Tried to install Windows 2000 using this board but never succeed - I've tried using the same installation disk and successfully set up the others machine, so I considered this is a defective item.
Sent back for refund, confirmed they received the item on 03/29, but since then they classified my status as PENDING - no refund and doing nothing! I emailed them on 4/4 to ask for what happened but they never reply!
Update as of 4/8/06 -- I finally got my full refund! But I'm rather upset by the ignorant customer service...
To be fair, they got a lot of good stuffs where you simply can't find elsewhere...as long as you don't get into any refund or replacement issues, they are still a good place to shop, especially on unique items!! This review was modified by its author, pelee69, on

I ordered a hard-to-find wireless keyboard/mouse combo -- Hyper had the best price on it. It arrived the next day in good condition. I will very likely do business with these folks again. Shipping was a bit pricey, but FedEx did a good job. :) This review was modified by its author, andytr, on

I was looking for an inexpensive replacement laptop hdd, and found this vendor. They had plenty of 2.5" HDDs in stock and prices were expectional.
Because of some bad feedback on RR and I live in the same state, I was going to get one from newegg. But I decided to call and see if they take will calls. (If they do, I can pick it up, saving s/h. Also, return would be easier, if there's any problem.)
I called around 3 PM, and was greeted by a human promptly. He was knowledgable and curteous. I ened up placing an order during the call, because he offered free s/h. The phone call lasted about 8 min, and on the next day, I received the hdd.
Shopping from Hyper Microsystems was a very plesant one. Thank you, Andrew.

I needed to buy an inexpensive Socket 370 motherboard for my mom's Celeron-based system. Her motherboard went out, and we were looking to spend a minimal amount of money to get her system working again. (She needs only basic word processing and e-mail, so replacing only the motherboard made more sense than upgrading the system.)
New Socket 370 motherboards are difficult to come by, and they're somewhat expensive, as well, which is to be expected from older technology. But Hyper Microsystems listed several Socket 370 boards for reasonable prices. An Intel-brand mini-ATX board with an 815 chipset caught my eye. I ordered the board in the wee hours Monday morning. Later that day I received an e-mail to let me know my order shipped and to provide me with a FedEx Ground tracking number. I received the board on Wednesday! Everything arrived in excellent condition.
I nearly didn't buy from Hyper Microsystems because of the last couple of comments on Reseller Ratings. But I rolled the dice and did well. I would order from Hyper Microsystems again based on my positive experience, but, of course, I will also check the reviews again before making a purchase.

I ordered a motherboard from Hyper Micro on April 15th after doing some searching around for the best price on the internet. Including shipping, this company had the lowest price. I ordered, and received an order confirmation stating that my order had been authorized. That was the last communication I received from them. I tried contacting them three times over the next three weeks, and did not receive any sort of reply whatsoever. Finally, on May 5th, my order was cancelled and the money returned to my account with NO explanation or even a basic communication stating that SOMETHING had happened with the order. When I went to the website, the status had been changed from Authorized to Cancelled, and that was that. I personally would not purchase something from this company again; given the number of times I attempted to contact them and the utter lack of communication regarding my order I would have assumed I deserved the basic courtesy of an email from them other than to say that they took the money from my bank account.

Ordered an Intel D865GLC motherboard, arrived minus cables and driver disk which were listed as part of the package. Sent an email concerning these missing items, never received a reply. ESD bag had been opened and board had obviously been used. Tried two Prescott P4 processors, neither worked. RMA process took two days to get a response. I ordered a set of creative T5400 5.1 speakers from them. They arrived promptly and were adequately packaged. The price was great, and after seeing the reviews on this site, I went for it. I am very satisfied.

Ordered a SCSI hard drive from them with SCA to 68-pin adapter. Fast delivery, arrived a day early even. Drive itself didn't work right, then had a mechanical failure. I called the company to RMA the drive and they were prompt, courteous and friendly. I am currently waiting to see how the RMA process plays out, but I don't expect any problems. Not their fault a drive failed, and the service I got on the phone was tops.

Ordered Quantum DLT1 tape drive, web site shows 41 in stock. Was sent similar but wrong and used item, and received no reply to my emails asking to have the situation corrected. Called two days later, was promised to have it all taken care of and received UPS account number to ship the wrong item back. A week later received a call trying to sell me a similar item, and finally second call admitting that the drive would not be available, and that they will issue a refund. The drive is still listed on their site with 40 pieces in stock! Very disappointing given my previously positive experience with this outfit, be careful.
Update: It took 10 days to finally get the refund posted to my credit card account. This review was modified by its author, robertu, on

I ordered (overnight shipping) two SCSI 10k Maxtor drives from them around 4pm PST for a time-sensitive rush job that had to be ready to go 48 hours later. I received both drives in less than 16 hours, but one drive arrived DOA.
I Called the support staff - service was incredible - I am having another drive overnighted, free of charge. My only gripe is they aren't mailing a return label to cover the return shipping of the DOA product, but they're giving free overnight on the return product, so it's a trade-off in my book. I deal with several vendors and this has been an excellent first-time buying experience. Not even Dell offers is this speedy, and I've spent millions of dollars with them.
As for the previous comment I read about someone's shipping being higher than expected: This is clearly user error - users need to be more careful with the scroll wheel on their mouse - Because the shipping uses a dropdown menu, if you use your mouse's scroll wheel while the shipping field is highlighted, you'll change the shipping rate :).
I would bet my life this person set the shipping price and, upon trying to scroll down the page, they scroll down through the shipping options. Gotta watch that stuff! ;) This review was modified by its author, shiftydotorg, on
