"Do not buy anything from these crooks. I purchased an Sony RDR-VXD655 DVD recorder and combo VHS player with a vhs tuner from these guys on Jan 12,2009. I recieved it on Jan 22 when I opened the box I found that the manufacturers box had some damage on the top. When I opened the manufacturers box I found a unit that had been wrapped with bubble wrap and packing tape. After I took it out of the wrapping I found the manual and remote in a zip lock baggy. The batteries were in the remote, there was food stuck btween the keys of the remote and in the manual. This was clearly a used item. (I puchased new in the box never reconditioned as it says on there web site) I called the store and was told to call back Friday for Abe. When I talked to Abe on Friday he was very nice but kept trying to make deals with me to keep the used foody machine. I told him there was no way the I found it unaceptable and wanted to return it now....he told me to "think it over over the weekend plug it it and see if it works and then we will talk on monday" and then hung up on me. I went to the computer and sent an e-mail and asked for and RMA number to return it. I called again Monday and got Abe again and he told me he would send an RMA number an I could ship it back at my cost. I returned the item by taking it to the shipper and refusing delivery because I was leary of spending my money to send it back to them. Good thing I did that because they have had the item returned to the from fedex and signed for and now they say I must contact my credit card issuer if I want a refund. John the manager says they don't do refunds.
Along the way I have dealt with John,Abe, and Henry all are very nice as they go about ripping you off
BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND SHOULD BE JAILED"
"I never received an order number. These guys are crooks. I bought a Yamaha digital piano from them and have been getting the run around ever since. I have never received my keyboard, although they charged my chargecard immediately. Yesterday they gave me an airbill shipping number from DHL to then told me they never called DHL for pick up. Stay away from them. On Ebay they have lots of listings under OnlySales."
"BEWARE OF THIS SELLER they are just stealing money. I can’t believe I made the order and sent them money without checking reviews but I did. I ordered canon 40d and Tamron lenses on April 28,. The payment was by bank transfer( I’m oversees and they didn’t let me to pay by credit card) and the shipment to Chicago. After FOUR weeks I felt anxious (the items didn’t arrive) and then I read reviews which was rather terrifying. We called them (stories like others – keep on hold, talking every time with sb else etc.) and finally they informed that they have the body but the lenses are out of stock. They proposed other lenses for extra 100$ . By then we knew that they are frauds and I would never pay them any extra money. We phoned and email that we want to cancel the order (they have no the kit we wanted) and get our money back. After few days the package arrived – open of course, without lenses (only canon body) but the invoice was for everything. How it’s possible to send the invoice for sth which is missing? The information the same as always – the lenses are out of stock and I can buy more expensive one. Now we are still fighting for the rest of the money but I’ve no hope I’ll get my money back.
I’m from so called developing country (Poland), we do a lot of internet transactions(here and in USA) and they were completely satisfying so far. I just can’t believe that such a company is still on American market (and for example being in price grabber site) – THEY ARE CRIMINALS for me. I hope there is a penalty for such a frauds?? If you advice me how to harm them (being oversees) I would be grateful. THEY SHOULDN’T GET AWAY WITH THIS for so long!!! I don’t believe any positive reviews about the seller. "
"Well, I ordered from this place before I read any reviews on it. Bad mistake I am thinking. So far it has been a week, no item, no posted shipping info on the site and when I called for an ETA they said DHL says Delivery on 5/13. Never gave a tracking #. That is the business I am in. I do Imports. Well we will see if it comes when they say. Also note that under the comments section of their site, the last entry is in 2003. 5/14 Well guess what, it did not come. They still could not supply me with a tracking #. I was told to call Frank 5/15 for the shipping info. More to come. Perhaps it is time for the Attorney General to look into this scam."

"AVOID THIS COMPANY! After placing the order it took a week to "process" the order and another week after that to ship it. They obviously didn't have it in stock.
Then the Panasonic SDR-S10 camcorder came without the 2 gig SD card advertised as included. The documentation is stamped to indicate that the card isn't included, but the sticker on the camera itself says it is included and nothing in the advertising indicated that the card wasn't included.
I didn't bother to make an issue with the company--I got an 8 gig card for $14 and it's not worth my time to deal with shysters like this.
Camera does work fine once I finally got it and bought the card.
Don't be fooled by their low prices--it's not worth your time or aggravation to deal with them.
"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THIS IS A SCAM SITUATION AND I GOT RIPPED OFF!!! THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AND NOT PROVIDE YOU WITH ANY SHIPPING INFORMATION. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR 'MYRTLE ELECTRONICS' - THEY ARE THE SAME SCAM!!!
WORD OF ADVICE: DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING FORM ONLINE 'MOM & POP' STORES!!!! OTHERWISE, YOU'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH CONTACTING YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND GO THROUGH FILING THE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY... SO SAVE YOURSELF THE HEAD ACHE - SOOOOO NOT WORTH IT!!!!!"
"Please do not make a mistake and buy anything from this company!!! I ordered a Garmn Nuvi 350 on 6/15/07. I had free shipping, and their web site says they "endeavor to ship all items within 24-48 hours." After five days and no tracking number, I called to cancel. The order was shipped the next day. It arrived 6/27/07 (in a plain white generic looking box)and I called to get RMA number within 1 hour of receiving the package(also told I needed access to a fax machine before I could return the item, which was very strange in my opinion). I told customer service I would contest a "restocking fee" due to the company not abiding by their own shipping practices, and the fact I cancelled one day before the item was shipped. Very rude representative told me he would NOT provide an RMA number, NOT accept the return, and hung up on me."

"I purchased a Portable Magellan GPS from these clowns and got the runaround. I was promised a brand new unit and everytime I called to get a status, they had an excuse for me. "It's shipped." or "Our system is down, we can't check until next week..." blah blah blah.
These guys are a typical New York company that does anything and everything to make your life a living hell. I asked numerous times for a tracking number and kept getting excuses like DHL's system is down, our shipping manager is not here today, etc. At one point, I finally got a tracking number from them (2 weeks after it was charged to my credit card) and it was fake.
I immediately called them to cancel my order and they said that it was already shipped and promptly hung up on me. I called back again and I said that I would reverse the charge on my credit card and their response was "Whatever..." and then hung up on me again.
The next day, I get a 2nd day DHL tracking number in my inbox and upon arrival, the unit was damaged (obviously not new since it had a melted spot on the bottom), was missing a critical part of the window mount making it useless in a car, and missing a key registration number to get the included free traffic updates. On top of all this, the box was a half-assed attempt at making it look like a real box. It had a photocopied graphic glued to it with the product name and model cut out and re-glued.
I now have a dispute going with the BBB and my credit card company and hopefully, i'll get my issue resolved and I'll be done with them for good.
My 2c... dont' save the extra bucks... Spend a little more with a reputable company and tell your friends to avoid these guys like the plague.
Update: Magellan called me back and confirmed, they indeed sent me a REFURBISHED unit instead of a new one and they tried to cover up the fact by blatently altering the packaging it came in. Buyer beware! They are actively engaging in bait and switch, unfair practices, and fraud.
Update #2: 8/25/08 - Talked to "Howard" and he lies about the refund. It's been more than 30 days and I'm still waiting for my credit card reversal. CROOKS. If it were up to me, I'd get everyone on here and start a class action against them if not only to get these clowns out of business. Nobody deserves to be swindled like this."

"I would never do business with these people again, I hope you won't neither.I ordered a Canon Elan 7 camera kit with 28-105mm AutoFocus (AF) zoom lense from http://www.hotbuyelectronics.com . They told me the batteries doesn't come with the battery, so I placed an order for battery also. They charge $519.98 for the camera and lense, $15.96 for the batteries. The camera I recieved is not Canon Elan 7, but Canon EOS 33 (same as Elan 7, but international version. I can not get warranty service in US - it's a gray market item). The lense I recieved is not Canon lens, but Sigma lense (which is only half price of Canon lense). The camera is listed on their website for $348.00 (http://www.hotbuyelectronics.com/canon_35mm_slr_cameras.htm) and the lense (Sigma 28-105mm F3.8 - 5.6 UC Aspherical IF) for $108.98. If you add price of lense and camera together, it should only be $457.96, not $519.98. They also charged for the batteries that comes with the camera at no charge - they told me battery doesn't come with the camera, but it does as it clearly says on the box - they charge $15.98 for batteries that were already included with the price of camera. When I called them, they told me the the price on their website for the lense is for manual, not automatic focus. However, I am not convinced of this fact. I can buy the autofocus lense (one I recieded) at other merchants for $108.95 at http://www.focuscamera.com and $123.49 at http://www.amazon.com (which has highest price on the net). It appears that this merchant is engaging in fraud and there is a pattern, see http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1938.html Conclusion: They sent me wrong camera and lense, overcharged for the wrong lense, charged for batteries that comes with the camera, and when I aksed for a refund, they would charge 15% restocking fee (which will translate to $82.00 in profit for them).
"WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I TRIED TO PURCHASE A EPSON 1280 PRINTER FROM THIS COMPANY. THE COMPANY CALLED BACK TO CONFIRM THE PURCHASE...THEN THEY PRESISTED TO ASK ME IF I WANTED TO PURCHASE THE ONE FROM AMERICA OR THE IMPORT ITEM... I CALLED EPSON...EPSON SAID TO BEWARE B/C THEY WERE TRYING TO SELL ME A GREY MARKET ITEM WHICH WOULD HAVE NO WARRANTY.
HOTBUYS CONTINUED TO TELL ME THAT IF PURCHAED THE IMPORT ONE THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE REBATE THAT EPSON WAS OFFERING AND IF I PLANNED TO DO THE REBATE OFFER THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BUY THE AMERICAN ONE FOR $70 MORE.
THEY CONTINUED TO YELL AT ME AND TOLD ME THAT I COULD DO WHAT I WANTED B/C THEY WAS NOT HOLDING A GUN TO MY HEAD (QUOTED FROM REP HOWARD).
I CALLED BACK AND CANCELED MY ORDER AND THEN I CANCELED MY CREDIT CARD. THEY MAY SEEM EXTREME BUT I DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL. AND I DON'T TRUST THAT THEY WOULD NOT USE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION LATER ON B/C I CANCELED. I WENT ON AND PURCHASED LATER FROM EPSON.COM.
THIS COMPANY CANNOT BE TRUSTED AND I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THESE NOTES BEFORE I PURCHASED OR I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM.
