"I wanted to leave a post here because hotdogcollars has a ton of bad reviews here. It seems like most have to do with personal ID tags. Maybe that's not their bag and you shouldn't get an ID tag. I ordered a doggy door bell, 2 doggy bandanas and a Green Bay Packer premium dog collar. I ordered on the 13th and received my order on the 17th. Everything looks fantastic and I'm extremely pleased. I would do business with again. They even included 4 doggy treats!"

"HAD TO FILE COMPLAINT WITH BBB-SHOULD HAVE LOOKED THERE BEFORE PURCHASING-THEY HAVE AN "F" RATING ALREADY!!!On October 8, 2012 I purchased 2 ID tags from hotdogcollars.com-order #381156. On approximately October 15th I received the items. One of the ID tags was for my dog. I purchased the Crystal Crown Pet ID Tag - With Engraving (Purple MED/LG (HDC-T015-0012)) for $7.99. I proceeded to put the tag onto my dogs collar the following day. On October 21st I noticed that the purple crown shaped insert of the tag had fallen out of the tag frame. I looked everywhere, including the yard, to find it. I was left to assume that my dog had ingested the item and for several days had to go through her feces looking for it until she had passed it. That very day that I noticed it missing I emailed the company. I could not send it back for a refund, it wasn't in new condition since it was defective. I did not want a "warranty" replacement because I did not want the same item for the same thing to occur again to my dog! I also was not willing to pay shipping to send the tag bag for something that was the company's fault. I offered to email them a picture and I requested that a plain style tag, without an insert, be made and sent to me at no cost (this tag I picked was the same $7.99 price as the original). The next day I received a generic response not addressing my situation at all, like they hadn't even read my issue. It prompted me to go to their "help and returns" page which I had already done which told me I didn't fit into any of those basic returns...hence why I emailed them. I responded to this email, very upset at their lack of help and the fact that I was having to go through my dogs feces to find this piece. Two weeks later, today, I still haven't heard from them or received a replacement. I have tried calling and have been hung up on (by Sherri, the same person emailing me). I have written on their Facebook page explaining my situation. They just delete my comment and block me. I am fed up. It is a matter of principal at this point. I tried to shop with the "lil guy" and this is what I get, not happy!"

"I thought I should write a review of this website since most of their feedback is terrible. I just purchased a personalized Detroit Tigers ID tag for my puppy. I received it today and it looks outstanding. It cost about 7 dollars less than PETCO and only took 3 days. I did not have to deal with any customer services issues. Hope this helps"
"This company is the absolute WORST in customer service....I ordered 2 products over a month ago...NEVER received them, and after 3 phone calls and 1 hour later, they expected me to go looking around for a package at various post offices, that they incorrectly, or did not send!! I'm a brand NEW customer and they could not make things right by resending the package that they made the mistake on. Then they bad mouthed me to my credit card company, calling me a "monster of a customer" b/c I demanded good service....HA! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE TERRIBLE PEOPLE!"
"This place is the WORST customer service I have had to deal with in a long time. The screwed up my order (spelled one dog's name wrong, embroidered 2nd dog's name at an angle, and the slide-adjuster was over top of the phone # so you'd have to move it to read my phone #). They re-did it but took forever to ship it. The 2nd order the slider was STILL over the phone #. I cannot get them to respond via e-mail and the boss is never in when I call. It has been TWO weeks since I e-mailed and complained with NO response. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!"
"DO NOT do business with this people. I shipped an NFL NY Giants sweater, in error, to this company. I had ordered it from CoolPetStuff. Yes it was my mistake, a stupid mistake, but when I called the company they told me they never received it. I called the USPS, which I had a tracking number and they verified they delivered it. All of a sudden within an hour they tell me they have it. I was corresponding with the owner Courtney by email; he would not speak to me on the phone. He was extremely rude and unprofessional, and told me via email to send a shipping label to them to ship it back to me. When I called back to get the weight of the item to purchase the shipping label, they told me they cannot find my sweater, and too bad for me!!! So they stole my sweater, probably resold it!! Horrible company, buyer BEWARE!!! "
"I wish I would have read these reviews before I did business with this company. They are the worst to do business with, my advice to you is run for the hills. They have the worst customer service and there dog Collars are not the size stated on the Collar. When you have to call in to the customer service you are on there for a half an hour minimum. I have wasted hrs on the phone trying to get my order strait and with all the extra money I had to pay out trying to get it right, it's not worth it, so do yourself a favor and don't order from these guys if there was a rating of sub 0 that would be the one I would give them. But it sound like I'm not the only one that has had problems with this company."
"I ordered a collar tag for my dog but when I got it I could not read it because of all the information printed so close together, so I returned it for an exchange (like they say to do). I have requested information on my return now FOUR times and have gotten no response whatsoever. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. "They took my money & sent the wrong color collar. Poor construction. The custom embroidery was messy, sloppy, and uneven. The buckle covered my dogs name even when I sent in specific measurements as THEY instructed. Tried to contact them multiple times. They won't respond to my emails. They won't answer their phone. "I just bought two engraved id tags for my dogs The shipping time was great only took 4 days. But when I opened up the envelope to see my tags they were wrong.I had picked two different colors for the tags for each dog one was gun metal for my male dog the other was brass for my female dog which they phoned me to let me know that they were out of that color.So I told them to give me the steel one. So the had engraved my female dogs name on the gun metal one and my male dogs name on the steel one. I however didn't mind that much. They are heavy duty and were priced right. The gun metal one is now after only 2 weeks of my dog wearing it,its rubbing off. So much for good quality. Then 1 week after my purchase I received another envelope from hotdog collars with some one else's tag in it. I then called them up And after waiting 10 minutes on the phone told them of there error. I figured they would send this person a new tag right away but no the sent me a envelope to send the persons tag to them. That's when I looked them up on reseller ratings. This business is very unprofessional. I will never buy another thing from them and would advise no one else to support there incompetence. "
"Hot Dog Collars' Customer Service doesn't answer their phone. Received two medium dog sports jerseys from them yesterday. The Rangers jersey, while new, has a wrinkle at the back of the collar. The Cowboys jersey is obviously used, without an NFL tag and has two small spots on the front. It smells of cigarette smoke and Febreze. They're selling used and 2nds as new. "I have been pleased with every item I have ordered from Hot Dog Collars, BUT make sure you order the correct size or item, BECAUSE their Customer Service is ridiculously rude and slow!!! I followed their directions to return a $10 item, it cost me $6.00 to return. I had already reordered the item I needed in the correct size, so I only needed a refund. Here it is a month later, and after numerous emails, and a very unpleasant phone call, I have been told I will finally receive my refund!!! I'll continue doing business with them, but I will make sure I don't have to make a return!"
